Iphone 4s wont recognize my username and password

I just got an iPhone 4s and when I go to install an app it says that my username or password is incorrect. I have reset my password 3 times and even opened up a new email account. It still won't recognize me. I have used the same info on my iPod touch with no problem. Help! This is very frustrating.

I am having this very same problem. I even went through the changing of my password and tried again and it's still not letting me sign in -.-

Don't just enter usernames and passwords into apps unless you know what it is for and why it wants it.

Perhaps the reason that your username and password are not recognised is because you have caps lock on.

Sharing via email says the server did not recognize the username and password combination

I am trying to share photos in iPhoto via email (gmail) and it says the server does not recognize the username password combination. I have deleted the email account rebooted iMac and re-entered the gmail account info and I get the same message. I have confirmed the username and password are correct.

LarryHN I guess I should have clarified that. I did try it that way and I am able to email pictures with mail set as the email client. When I change it to iPhoto as the email client is when I get this message. I have the same setup on my Macbook and it works great for emailing pictures from iPhoto. Although I can send them through email client, I prefer doing it through iPhoto.

ok now its been almost 3 weeks i ahve been trying to log in to skype but it always give me the same message that it doesnt recognise my username and password. infact i tried with 2 diffrent ID's of my family for whom its working on a windows laptop but not on my macbook pro.
i updated my macbook pro to yosemite and updated skype. uninstalled it reinstalled it. did everythign possible i coould.

I've got a similar problem with a specific account not being able to log in to OSX Skype client (on several Macs) but other accounts can. This same acount works fine on all other clients the problem is just with OSX client. It's definitely a problem with the client but no asnwers on here. Does your username have any special characters?

It sounds like your device might be in Activation Lock. Is it asking your to enter in an Apple ID & password, but only showing you the first letter of the email address and then some dots? Example: j•••••@icloud.com?
If so, do you recognize that email? Do you have an Apple ID that fits the same format? If so, then go to www.cloud.com, log in with that Apple ID & password, and see if under Find My iPhone it shows this device. If so, turn off the device, then remove the device from the list.

How do I delete my Twitter username and password from iPhone 4?

I upgraded to iOS5, and when i was setting it up I put in my username and password but I thought it was just for the App and not in the settings of the iPhone itself. Every time I delete the account under setting, it comes back! Why?
I do not have the official Twitter app, I use Echofon.

Try this, I did it on an iBook that someone gave to me because it was slow.
1. Reboot
2. Hold apple key + s key down after you hear the chime. (command + s on newer Macs)
3. When you get text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
mount -uw /
rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
shutdown -h now
4. After rebooting you should have a brand new admin account. When you login as the new admin you can simply delete the old one and your good to go again!
Apple stores wont reset it for you. Computer shops may charge you $50 to $200 trying to reinstall the Mac OS and failing at end.
NOTE: This will not work with the classic OS, only OS X.
What this does is tricks the Mac into thinking that OS 10.? was just installed. It will play the intro video and then guide you through setting up your new account.

I could do that, however when I select the icloud button (or whatever the heck it is) I am asked to enter the apple id and password. So if you are suppose to create another one for icloud you'd think it would give you the option at this point which would be logical.

     The device is not authorized to the Apple ID.
         Continue setup for the ID on the device.
There is an account issue
        Is she able to get signed in at
               Appleid.apple.com
                   and manage the account
Can she get signed in at
Supportprofile.apple.com ?
         How many devices are registered to that Apple ID?

This is a user forum. You aren't talking to Apple here.
Return your iPhone for a refund. There is no way to remove the Activation Lock. Apple won't get involved.
