IPhone 4S yellow spot or fading mark on screen

My iPhone 4S screen suddenly has a yellow spot or fading area. What can be done to resolve it?

Did check with Apple service centre few days ago..they confirmed it is a hardware fault as the phone becomes really hot when being put on charging and simultaneously use. During this time the yellow spot also becomes more bright.

What should I do as my iPhone is out of warranty now??? The yellow spot becomes prominent on playing games... Will it spread further and get even worse or it is harmless??? Can apple india help me to figure out the issue?? Help!!

  • IPhone 4S Yellow Spot Issue

I have been waiting for years to finally get my hands on an iPhone of my own.  I have been with Verizon and was stuck using a Droid   I was finally eligible for an upgrade when the 4S came out.  I got one (after waiting almost a month for my pre-order to arrive at Best Buy) and to my shock my screen has yellow spots across the bottom.  I have read that the spots are from the glue not drying properly.  Is that true?  Also, if anyone else had the same issue, did it go away after using it or did you just get a new one?  From what I was reading it should go away with use but mine seems to get worse the more I use it.  When I first wake up the yellow can't be seen.  However, after about 5-10 minutes of use you can really see the yellow.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am really let down by this.

Two problems.  I bought it at Best Buy and no Apple store (or Best Buy) near me has any in stock.
Go to the Apple store. They all have replacements. They don't use the retail boxes. They will fix it. Go now.

  • I want to learn how many iphone had yellow spot issue on screen?? is it a chronical issue?

i have a iphone i got it from vodafone Turkey n it has yellow spot on screen. teleservice doesnt solve my problem in warranty. but at lots of forum sites; you can see it is a chronical problem iphone

You mention having one LG G2, but two lines?  What type phone is on the second line?  Assuming it's also a smartphone, the ETF is $350 minus $10 for each full month of your contract term that you've completed ... and that's per phone since each phone has its own contract.

  • IPhone 4 yellow spot. out of warranty

is my device eligible for a new one even though is out of warranty ?
i didn't notice the spot until a few days ago.
apple declared this a manufacturing problem, so i don't see why would they not change it. the problem is i do not have an official apple store in my country and the resselers want to change the display at some cost
where can i talk with someone from apple ?

If you consider any company that abides by the terms of the warranty for a product, terms which are very clear, to be a "rip off", then you have a very skewed and unreasonable view of things. How many other devices you own do you think would be fixed without charge once the warranty expires? Do you think the manufacturer of your car or your TV would do so?  If you can find a manufacturer of any product that will completely ignore the terms of the warranty and fix an item well after the warranty expires, by all means buy from them, and let us know who they are as we'll all probably buy from them.
Sorry your iPhone developed a problem, but it is out of warranty. You can live with the problem, pay for a replacement, find an independent repair service and have them perform a repair, or go buy some other phone. It's your choice.

  • Yellow Spot on my iPhone 5 Screen

Hi I know the iPhone 4 had a major problem with Yellow spots and streaks on the screen, well I have one on my iPhone 5. I've had the phone for around a month now, I didn't notice the yellow streak which is on the top right side, untill the phone got really hot one day when using it for a long time on 3G. I't fades when the phone gets colder. for the iPhone 4 issue the solution was that it was because of the glue they used on the phone not drying out, and to leave it and it will go away...well after a month it hasn't gone away. Is anyone else seeing this? I'm about to call my providor and see if I can get a replacement before it's too late.

I, too, have the same problem.
Worse still... this phone is a replacement for my iPhone 4 which had a growing, yellow spot along the same, right-side edge. That phone (the 4) got so bad that it turned purple toward the outter edges of the yellow spot - about the size of my thumb and began losing touch-sensitivity.
This new replacement is developing the problem sooner, though. I'm concerned that if it follows suit from the previous phone - it'll become unusable while I'm still in my 2 year AT&T contract.
I'll have to see, very soon, if there's any solution to be found in my remaining Apple Care time. I was assured the 5 couldn't suffer the same fate but, then again, I could barely get the Apple lad to acknowledge this was even a known issue... despite the forums being replete with instances of it, the major tech-blogs reporting it, etc.
It gets markedly worse when running for a few minutes (ie. surfing, reading Flipboard, etc.). About five minutes of the screen being on it shows fairly visible yellow. Several minutes and it becomes obvious even when viewing a yellow-page in Notes-app.
I'm concerned even for a replacement of the replacement. I hope my luck grants me a little something this time around. I love the 5 too much but if I need to go non-Apple to survive with a working phone - then so be it.

  • What should i do if my ipod touch 4 th gen got yellow spot on ecreen

my apple ipod touch i bought on last september but from four month i see some yeollow lines going on two sides of my screen and now i start seeing some yellow spot in middle of the screen what should i do

If the problem persits after restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod then you likely have a hardware problem.  In that case an appointment at the Genius Bar of an apple store or returing it to Apple is in order.

  • Display trouble (yellow spot) on iPhone 4

    Dear Customer Service,
I have an issue considering my iPhone 4. It was bought 2 years ago, in 2011. Approximately 4 months ago I spotted a yellow mark in the bottom left corner of the screen. The yellow mark gets brighter when the iPhone works at full capacity (for example, when I use 3G Internet via Wi-Fi access point). It looks this way:
Is it possible to solve this problem anyhow?
    Best regards,
    Alexander

It is just a screeen spot or internal screen spot.If it's normal screen spot then clean it with water. and if it is internal screen spot then there is no way to repair wwithout going to repair.
also try to Restore it to newer version(IF IT's WORK)

  • Yellow Spots on iPhone 5 screen

    Hi everyone.
As you can see from the picture, there's a faint yellow spots on the iPhone screen. The phone was purchased in December but the spots didn't appear until yesterday. I've resetted the phone using iTunes and basically ruled out this is a software issue.
I know I need to have the phone serviced if I want it fixed. But the problem is I purchased the phone from the Apple Store in Hongkong and I''m currently in the Philippines. I don't know someone currently in Hongkong to send my phone to. I just wanna ask if someone had the same experience and what they did to fix their phone. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

you havent gotten a answer ;-; well your having a very very mini kernel panic thats all

  • Yellow spot upper left corner on my iphone 4!! how i can fix it?

i have an iPhone 4 for like 8 months, 1 week ago a yellow spot appeared on the upper left corner on the screen... i left it like that so maybe it will disappear but it didn't? how i can fix this problem please! and what cause it? thanks much

If you're out of warranty you have 2 choices:
    1.  Purchase an out of warranty replacement through Apple for $149
    2.  Find an iPhone repair shop near you and see what their prices will be to fix your screen.

  • Recording a video for 10 minutes iOS 7.0.6 = overheating = yellow spot on the screen :(

    Hello,
last night i was trying to record a video using the rear camera of my iPhone 4S, the phone started to get very hot after minute 5 and then i started to notice yellow spot on the right corner of the screen. I got scared and stoped the video before reaching 10 minutes of video recording (the phone itself says nothing about overheating).
I got the phone into my refrigerator untill the heat gone and then i looked for the yellow spot, fortunately it is gone and the screen was as good as before.
currently i'm on iOS 7.0.6 (clean restore with new setup) and now i can't use my camera without risking my screen
I read somewhere that this likely to be a battery issue, and somewhere else that it maybe caused by a software bug. how can i make sure ?!!

EDIT: I would suggest that you turn off some settings, like background app refreshing, turn on the "reduce movement" setting, you know, stuff that you might do to save battery life. This makes it so that the processor doesn't have to work as hard, because the iPhone 4's processor can barely handle iOS 7, while iPhone 5+ is made to run it. If you want to go a bit more in-depth, maybe figure out what component was under where the yellow spot was, and see what problems may have happened.

  • How do I use my iPhone's hot spot to send email with Mail ?

    Hi,
My land line is dead ... so no phone nor internet at home.  But I can use my iPhone'hot spot to get on the web from my iMac.  Great ... it works !
Oups !   I cannot send email from my computer using my iPhone's hot spot with Mail.
How do I do that ?
    Regards.

    Hi Templeton Peck,
Thanks for droping in my thread ...
Doesn't the fact that I can surf the web with my iPhone's hot spot and that I cannot use Mail normally has I normally do give you a clue what the problem could be ?
What other information can I give you other than normally I can surf and send email with my regular ISP.  Now that my ISP is dead I am using my iPhone's hotspot to surf the web awaiting that my ISP's connoection returns. Surfing is OK but I cannot send emails with through Mail.
When I want to send an email from my computer, I get a message asking me to select the the SMTP server.  Then I select my usual ISP server, but the message comes back telling me it does not work.
Is there any other configuration to do ?

Shouldn't really be the MPE at fault here ... what is the codec of the footage/sequence/project?
Second, can you create a new project in PrPro, then in the media browser, import that sequence from the other project?
