Iphone 5 3G connection issue

My phone 3G connection is full of bar, but the speed is very slow, so i try to switch on and off the cellular data, then the speed is faster back. is quite annoying of this problem.
please help!

Trying to keep this thread alive. I had luck with what I discuss there.
I want to add to that:
After restoring from an icloud backup from my 4s, I never allowed my new iphone 6 to create its own new backup. I didn't have enough space on my icloud account. I meant to upgrade the space but every time it asked I didn't have my CC around (it wanted to verify my cc info)... so I just cancelled and figured I would do it later. After deleting both the old and incomplete new backup... my wifi connectivity issues went away. (who knows why?)
This has worked for a few hours now.. Something is for sure different. Anyone with this issue try this and let us know how it works .

iphone5s wifi is **** slow since I updated it to ios 8.0.2 It isn'tmy router because my laptop and PC
are fine.my wifi is working fine even on Samsung Galaxy s3. I am able to stream movie on youtube on S3 but not on Iphone 5s. even whats up messages take long to download on iphone 5s.
I have tried the following on the devices and nothing has changed!
Turned Wifi on and off
Forget Wifi network add again
Reset Network Settings
Erase all content and restore from iTunes backup
Erase all content and restore as a new device
Disabling WiFi in location services >does nothing
Disabling location services entirely >does nothing
Changed the network type to WPA in my router to Personal or MixedWPA2/WPA -PSK. Rebooted router.
I amfrustrated beyond belief! I shouldn't even have to try all these things and I'm even more frustrated the only way I can use my devices is by pulling from my Airtel cellular hotspot and use my data!
This needs to get fixed ASAP!
It seems like there is no Solution for IOS 8.0.2 Wifi Problem. We have to wait until apple release new update that may fix it.

Ios 5.0.1 + Iphone 4 bluetooth connection issue with car stereo

My Iphone 4 will not connect with my new JVC car stereo I have spoken to JVC customer support and they say its an Apple issue that they need to fix (changed something with the bluetooth connection scripts in the latest update update, as they have done before).
The phone finds the stereo and then tries to pair with it, however half way through the pairing process the phone losses connection with the stereo and the pairing is then deleted.
I have deleted all the existing pairing in the phone memory and ensured that the stereo has been rebooted to ensure no conflict of previous installs would effect the process
Does anyone know if Apple are going to fix this glitch in a new softwre update (and if so when is it being released) as at the minute i have an expensive stereo which is cant use to its full ability?

Similar problems occured when Apple released iOS 4 last year. It was NOT fixed with an update from Apple. It was fixed by the system vendors and automakers releasing updates for their equipment. There are ongoing complaints from people with some Toyota built cars (Toyota and Lexus) with some systems as well as some BMW drivers.
I'm willing to bet money that the head unit you have is not fully standards compliant. Unfortunately, getting JVC to admit that is going to be nearly impossible. I suspect they will just quietly issue an update sometime in the next few months. Assuming the head unit can be updated by the end user at all. You may have to resort to an inexpensive visor mount speaker phone in the mean-time.

Iphone 5 Itunes Connection Issue

I have read quite a few threads about this issue but have yet to find a resolve. I just picked up an Iphone 5 due to my 4s being dropped one too many times. When I connected it to my Itunes, it says that I need Itunes 10.7 or later. I downloaded 10.7 but when I went to install it, it said I need an OS of 10.6 or later (I have 10.5.8 which for my Macbook is apparently as far as I can go.
I did not back up on Icloud before getting the new phone now I am stuck. Can someone help me with this? There has to be a way to get this fixed. Upon getting my new phone my IT dept accidentally deleted all my contacts that the VZW store transferred for me by mistake.

the solution is literally right infront of you. You need to update the mac, before you can update the itunes, before you can use itunes with your iphone 5.

IPhone Wi-Fi connection issues! HELP!

I have been searching all over the net for my exact problem and haven’t found a solid fix yet. Here are my issues…
Recently, like within the last few weeks my iPhone which came with Firmware 1.1.3 pre-installed and was updated to 1.1.4 several months ago has started having many issues connecting to/updating through Wi-Fi ONLY!!:
- Safari
- Maps
- Email
- Weather
- YouTube
- Stocks
Every once in a while it works fine but mostly I get update or unable to connect errors. The thing I have noticed is that if I disable my Wi-Fi connection and go directly through the Edge connection it works slowly “of course” but great!! Does anyone have any clue why the Wi-Fi is acting up? I “reloaded” my phone and it still is having the issue. If I downgrade back down to 1.1.3 do you think that would fix my problem or not. Since 1.1.4 worked fine for sometime it makes me think it’s something else. No matter what Wi-Fi I connect to I always have this problem. PLEASE HELP!! Thank you in advance.

You most likely have an issue with your AP's wireless settings. Have you made any changes to its config? Even if not try restoring all AP wireless options to their defaults.
There is a slight chance that an apple update could've flashed the firmware of the wireless chipset as well as system software. Try these as well:
- enable broadcasting of the SSID (despite what some people may say this is NOT a security risk)
- try using no encryption to make sure that is not the problem
- see if there are any firmware updates for your AP
- set the beacon transmission level of your AP to very high value
- temporarily disable mac filtering from your AP to trouble-shoot
- if using dhcp make sure a valid ip address is being assigned from the server. Not 169.x.x.x
My MacBook Pro once had similar issues after updating the chipset to the 802.11 Draft-N standard. After increasing the beaconing interval of the AP all worked fine.

IPhone 5s wireless connectivity issues, cannot upload files/state to iCloud, and supposedly needing to do so in order to get my files/state onto a new iPhone 6 Plus

I am trying to get my files from my old iPhone 5s onto my new iPhone 6 Plus. I am currently and have been using iCloud to backup my files/state. However, I believe the antenna on the iPhone 5s went kaput a few months ago, because the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, both, do not work at all, meaning, I have tried all solutions including, resetting network settings, restarting the phone, etc. This is problematic because, as far as I know the iPhone 5s needs to be connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to a Wi-Fi Hotspot in order to ask the internet, in order to upload current information/state to iCloud. Herein lies my problem.
I have used iCloud already, to download my current files/state to my iPhone 6, with a caveat, these are only the files/state from before the antenna supposedly went kaput. That means, that all of my files/state since that time, while still being on my iPhone 5s, is not uploaded to iCloud, which then means I do not have it on my iPhone 6 which was updated to the most current files/state that was available at the time.
What do I do?
I have iTunes installed on a Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 Computer, and I have made a backup on there. However, I have to admit, I find iTunes very counter-intuitive and very difficult to use/understand. And I'm mostly referring to the syncing/backing-up features. I know you have to have safe guards to protect software usage, but with this high-minded philosophy of minimalism, couldn't it be as easy as drag and drop? Even software syncing? USB syncing with iCloud, etc?

From what I can gather, you can start your new iPhone from an itunes backup (Set Up Iphone > Restore from iTunes Backup), but, in my situation I need to add the Files/State from the old iPhone backup to the new iPhone that was started from scratch and has it's own unique Files/State, without subtracting from either. The problem is, that I don't want to subtract anything, and from what I understand about Syncing, if I am Syncing a new iPhone that's been started up, edited, has it's own suite of apps, etc. to an old backup of a previous iPhone, I am going to lose everything new I've done, as it will sync with the previous Files/State.

Iphone/Ipad/Ipod connection issues

I have configured the above router and everything works fine apart from connecting new apple payment devices via the inbuilt AP. I can connect my windows 7 laptop and browse the network and internet but cannot connect my iphone or ipad /ipod touch, device always replies with error unable to attach.
I am using static ip address on all devices.

Is there a fix for Iphone 5 wifi connection issues specifically to Verizon routers

Is anyone else experiencing WIFI connection problems when trying to connect to a Verizon Router? All of my other phones, 4 and 4S as well as my Ipad connect flawlessly and have a wide range, yet my Iphone 5 will only connect when I am in the room with the router and disconnects when I am less than 20 feet away.

Then go for one of the old cables with a 30 pin to lightning dock connector
Add an Apple Genuine 30 pin to lightning adapter to fit the iPhone 5 plug into that the car cable
I use several in different scenarios but do buy the Apple product most of the cheap rippoffs do not work correctly

My iphone has bluetooth connecting issue with my honda crv since upgrading to ios 7.1.2

EVer since i downloaded ios 7.1.2 the bluetooth in my crv keeps sisconnecting and connecting. We took it to a fenius and dud a reinstall. It worked for aday andbow itdoing the same thing. Never had this problem before

IPhone 6 3G & LTE Connectivity issue

We purchased an iPhone 6 the day they were released. My son said the 3G and LTE stopped working about 3 days after getting it. Wifi is still functional. We have tried everything to reset the system and any little work-arounds we have seen. Nothing works. He installed IOS 8.0.2 and we were under the impression that would solve the problem. Nope! Any other ideas as to how to solve this? I'm heading to my Bell store this week for further investigation but it would be great to solve it before then.

It sounds like the cellular data on your sons iPhone 6 is not functioning properly even after you reset the phone and updated to iOS 8.0.2. I would recommend the troubleshooting in the following article to help resolve the issue with the phone:

Follow these steps for help with cellular data issues on your iPhone. After performing each step, test to see if your iPhone still has the issue.
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings, turn airplane mode on, wait three seconds, and then turn off again.
Restart your iPhone.
Make sure that your software is up to date:
Check for a Carrier Settings Update: Tap Settings > General > About.
Check for an iOS Software Update: Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
Remove the SIM Card and reinsert it. Allow the iPhone to acquire the network again.

IPhone 4 voice/data connection issues?

I've had my iPhone 4 for around 6 months now. Lately I've been dropping a lot of out-going calls and have had some issues receiving calls in the last few days. Today I've had 3 voice mail notifications from people who have tried to call me and could not get through. It rings through to voicemail and sends me a notification after they're done recording. I have anywhere from 2 to 4 service bars, usually averaging at 3 in this location.
On top of the voice and call issues, I've been having problems with GPS and location services lately, too. I use the Waze app for directions. My phone will register 3G data signal, but none of the apps that use GPS can find any location. I have Location Service turned on in settings and have no problem starting my routes when I have wifi signal at home before I leave.

I have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on my MacBook. Constantly dropping internet connection or message "error connecting to the network" comes up. No wireless connectivity issues with windows 7 laptop or iphone.

I have a MacBook with Snow Leopard 10.6.8. The last few weeks it has been constantly dropping internet connection, and one of these messages appear on the page: "Safari cannot open this page because the server where this page is located isn't responding" or "Safari cannot open this page because you are not connected to the internet" comes up. I will check Wifi and I am connected. No wifi connectivity issues with iphone or windows 7 laptop, this doesn't happen with either of those devices. I have unplugged and reset router, cleared cache, still happening. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

If your Hotmail account worked previously and it suddenly stopped and gave you that message, then it is likely a problem at th Hotmail end. Did you check the Hotmail website or contact Hotmail directly to see if they are experiencing problems?
