IPhone 5 6.1 Update Crash. (Jan 28, 2013) PLEASE HELP!!!!
Some one help please. All i did was try to update my iPhone 5 to iOS 6.1 which came out earlier today, and my computer (windows) said there was an error. Now my phone is stuck on this screen that has the iTunes logo and the USB connector cable on it. I tried to reconnect it to iTunes but my phone did not show under devices. I tried restarting the computer but it was a no go. Some one please, i dont care that im phoneless, i just worry that i spent $200+ on a new contract and i dont have insurance on the phone and its way past the 14 day limit. Please im very worried that i might have bricked it. I have not tried to jailbreak it or anything. I never dropped it, i actually got it like two weeks and some days ago or around there.

Hi guys, I fixes my phone but I really don't know how >.< well, I just kept on trying to set it in restore mode and DFU mode but they didn't really work. What I really did was just keep trying, I just kept on repeating the same steps, unplugging and replugging in and it eventually worked. My iPhone now runs on iOS 6.1 but I did lose all of my apps but my pictures and setting to the apps were fine once I reinstalled them. I'm not a computer genius but I am pretty good with technology. I am 14 years old and well I just didn't want to tell my mom that we spent $220+ on a new phone that broke 2 weeks after we bought it haha. I hope you guys fix your devices also. Just be consistent and things should work out fine. IF YOU GUYS WANT AN IMMEDIATE SOLUTION: just plug it into someone else's computer and restore it there, that SHOULD work. Email me if you have any other questions, comments, concerns, etc.

I would "guess", since you were in the middle of backing up, your backup is corrupt & most likely unusable. Only one way to find out though, & that's by trying to restore from that backup. If your pics are not there, they are gone.

I got instructions to connect my iPhone4 to iTunes. Each time I was prompted to restore the phone, I ended up getting an error message that the iPhone could not be restored. I checked that I had the latest version of iTunes-I did. I tried two more times and got the same error message. I disconnected the usb/phone, closed iTunes, and restarted the computer. This time the restore worked and iOS6 loaded. Unfortunately, the last backup to iCloud that I was told I had was in June. Don't know why this happened as it should have backed up every day. Now I am working through restoring my settings and apps from the last three months. Thankfully, I didn't 'upgrade' my iPad, so I have a template off of which to work. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the update and clarification. In researching the issue it seems that the 2003 error code may have something to do with the USB connection. I would use this section of one of the above articles:
Get help with iOS update and restore errors
If the USB connection between your device and computer is interrupted, you might not be able to update or restore.
To narrow down the issue, you can try different equipment:
Use the USB cable that came with your device, or a different Apple USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port directly on your computer. Don't plug it into your keyboard.
Try a different computer.
Solve other issues with the USB connection, then with your security software.
If you still see the error message, check for hardware issues by following the next section.
Check for hardware issues
Related errors: 1, 3, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
These errors mean that your device or computer might have a hardware issue that stops the update or restore from completing.
Check that your security software and settings aren't blocking your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Make sure that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support. -
recently updated my iphone 4s software. now it won't sync w/ itunes, says i need updated itunes. i updated itunes... now it says that my desktop software is old and can't run new itunes. Yet, i cant update my computer either. PLEASE HELP!!!! UGHH

Hook your phone up to iTunes on the computer you sync with and do your update from there. This is a robust iOS release, and doing it OTA is not always successful. I tried on my iPhone a couple of times, and it aborted the update twice. Did it via the Mac, and it was fine.
It takes a bit of time, so hook it up, make sure it is updating your phone, and then find something else to do for a couple of hours.

i have itunee 11 and iphone 4 and i can't sync my apps to the iphone. it just stops on "determining apps to sync".please help
it is an itouch, i buy apps from the app store, they are purchased, they show up in my app section but when i try to sync them to my itouch they do not show up in on the itouch. i have tried to atuthorize and deauthorize the computer also few times, rebooted computer and still nothing. when i restore the firmware and have everything reinstall all over again the apps music and such, all show up. however if i buy a new app and try to sync it with the itouch it does not show up despite the fact that the computer states 'installing "......" whatever app. it happens with numerous apps, there is no rhyme and reason to why certain apps just do not show up on the itouch. the authorize/deauthorize deal does nothing to rectify the situtaion. any other ideas ?

On the old phone go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Are there any email accounts listed here? Such as Google, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc?
If so, tap on each of them and check the 'Contacts' option. If it is turned on, this means that contact syncing is enabled for that account and that your contacts may already be synced to that mail account.
Also check Settings > iCloud and look for the 'Contacts' option. Is it enabled? If so, then it is possible that some contacts could be synced to your iCloud account as well. You can check to see which contacts are in which account by going to the Contacts app on your old phone and pressing the 'Groups' button in the top left corner. You may see several groups here. Uncheck all groups and then check each group one at a time to check and see how many contacts are synced to each account. You may need to add the same mail accounts to your new phone and enable contact syncing to have the contacts from the mail servers sync down to the new phone. -

EUREKA, I found the solution to my problem in a Discussion initiated by gingertodd on July 27, 2011 entitled "Safari in Lion hijacked by malware." The solution was provided by Badunit who recommended force quitting Safari and then reopening it while holding down the Shift key. It worked instantly, and I subsequently was able to open Safari normally by just clicking on its icon in the Dock. THANK YOU BADUNIT!

Thank youI found this strange glitch that wouldn't let me open my iTunes Store. I tried all the reset options and still iTunes would close a second after it opened. I fixed this. Instead of using the iTunes Store icon on your home page to open it. Go into music and click on store. It will say "Cannot Connect To Store". Just tap ok. Then tap on "featured" on the bottom of the screen. That will take you to the store front page. After that is loaded. Back out and the icon for iTunes Store on the home page should work just fine. Hope that helps.

If you've noticed unexpected behavior with your iPhone camera, start with these steps to isolate or resolve the issue:
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
