Ok well, this isn't what I was looking for. I have the old connector from the iPhone 4. This doesn't have that so it will not help me. I'm going to do quick search and see what comes up but I don't think they have one.
it's confuseing when you post asking about iphone5 AV but is looking for iphone 4 connector
many people repport that the converter from iphone5 to pin30 does not support AV
but if you own an iphone 5 the url will work
if you own an iphone4 the same adatpr just with pin30 connector which have been out for a few years will work

  • Does iPhone 4S Camera app support video viewfinder streaming?

Video Mirroring of the iPhone 4S screen is an awesome possibility to improve the experience of recording a sports event such as an hour long hockey game. There are a number of battery powered camera top displays in the size range of 7" to 10" that take HDMI input , such as the Lilliput 7-inch LCD monitor with HDMI input for $165 on Amazon. Does the iPhone 4S Camera app support video streaming so that a decent sized view finder could be used as an external, larger viewfinder while the video camera is in use, or do I have to use an iPad 2, or, better yet, the iPad 3 when ever it is released?

Uh, could you tip us too, so we can be spared the call to Apple support - not that it's in general bad, the support. Just easier to DIY.
Its all the apps connected to the camera for me. Hipstamatic, Camera+ and Camera. If I make a reset and star the phone again I can use these apps. But after some use - impossible. It's like ... when the get the photo back from iOS7, it happens. That's my feeling, anyway.

  • Are there any 30 pin female to lightning adapters that support video and audio together?

I have a wowwee cinemin slice projector and I wondering if there are any products that will convert the 30 pin to lightning that supports audio and video, since the Wowwee Cinemin Slice plays video through the iPhone, but currently only has the 30 pin adapter?  Thanks so much.

yeah, and I can't believe that you can't buy sushi for breakfast, but there it is. Chris CA is right. Lightning will NOT support analog video out. It will do audio, though. So...your best bet would be to buy a Lightning digital AV adapter (2nd generation) then try to find an HDMI to 30 pin cable. I'm presuming that the wowee has a 30 pin socket on it... I see.... it also has a VGA and a mini-HDMI port on it, so you'll have to use the last two, perhaps, unless you can find  cable that goes from HDMI to 30 pin male end, then 30 pin female to female, to finally connect with the wowee. I  have yet to see a 30 pin female to female adapter, and I suspect there will never be one.  I can't believe many things, either, scoody. Apple is not known for going backwards, once it has introduced a new standard. It may try to acommodate some people, but it will never be able to please everyone.  In any event,  I think it was mentioned by Apple that, in moving to Lightning, some 30 pin stuff might not work, and the wowee cinemin slice is probably one of those things...
    welp--there you go

  • Ios podcast utility that supports video out through composite cable.

    Hi everyone,
I'm watching some video podcasts (you're right - MacBreak Weekly!) in my car while staying in traffic jams. And I use original Apple composite video cable to send video to the in-dash screen of my Nissan.
There have been some podcasts downloaders in App Store, like Instacast, Downcast, Podcaster. But none of them are able to send video out of iPhone.
If anybody seen one that is able to do that, I'd appreciate a link dropped over here.
    Thanks a lot,
    Egor.

    try rebooting the iphone
my iphone4 works just fine with my composite and component cables I'm using latests ios version
but mind you it only works with tvout ables apps like youtube it don't support mirror

  • Phones that support video with MMAPI (and ideally: UMTS)?

    Hi there,
does anybody know which phones do currently support playing back video (and ideally: streaming video) with the MMAPI? At the moment, I know the Nokia 3650 supports it...
More interesting: are there any phones that do support UMTS and playing back video with the MMAPI? At the moment, I have a Nokia 7600 sitting in front of me and I'm still kind of shocked since it tells me it won't play videos and not even AMR soundfiles (only supported content types on this phone: audio/x-tone-seq, audio/midi, audio/sp-midi).
The tragic thing about this is that the phone does have a media player - I just can't access it via the MMAPI and therefore, I can't access it via Java at all... :-(
    kind regards,

  • Finding a 3rd party converter that supports Video Files.

    Hey there,
I seem to not be able to have the right format for my 30G iPod videos I have on my computer. What's the most popular video format conververters out there, so I would be able to see my video on my ipod????????. I was able to see and hear my sample video, on my iPod.
It recognises the conversion, for one video, but I can't see it on my iPod. I did the whole conversion, successfully, but that's about it, I believe.
    In dire help,
    Thanks,

  • Will there be Future iPhone 5 "Ipod Out" support? Adapter perhaps?

I have pre-ordered an iPhone 5, but I' have realised that it wont work with my car head unit - which cost nearly £2000 and was bought specifically to control, and display song information from my iPhone.
It has been absolutely brilliant.  Being able to control tracks from my steering wheel, seeing the artwork on the screen and the track name and artist.  It made people go "wow".
Unfortunately, the Ipod Out feature that allows control of the iphone from the steering wheel appears not to be supported due to the new lightning connector, nor does the 30pin adapter correct this.
I am now faced with the odd possiblity of having to sell my iPhone 5 when I get it, and go back to a 4S, as it literally is the most important way, as a huge fan of music whilst driving, in which I use my iPhone day to day.
I really really hope that Apple have a way to add "Ipod Out" support to the iPhone 5, so that it can again be controlled via a car's steering wheel.
Cutting out a feature that helps prevent distractions, accidents, even deaths is wrong.
I will happily pay whatever Apple wants for the adapter in future, but I need to know its possible, otherwise I will have to go back to a 4S, as I cant be rooting in my glovebox to change iphone tracks.
Does anyone know if Apple will be creating a future adapter that supports iPod Out, to bring safety back to the millions of cars that currently can control iphones and ipods through the steering wheel?
It is an offence in the United Kingdom to interact with a mobile device in a car, even if its texting, or changing ipod tracks.  For UK iPhone owners - Ipod Out is a legal requirement to use the ipod in the car.  Please Apple, dont go backwards on car safety, I plead with you!
    Thankls

I searched all over to try and find an answer to this...
this is what I found in macworld.
"As with the 30-pin connector, the Lightning connector supports video output; Apple told Macworld that Lightning-to-HDMI and Lightning-to-VGA cables will be available “in the coming months.”"
    found from: http://www.macworld.com/article/1168555/what_apples_new_lightning_connector_mean s_for_you.html
    also from: http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/iphone-5-lightning-connector-does-support-vid eo-output-hdmi-and-vga-cables-incoming
From that I can only assume that the CONNECTOR does support iPod out, just not the adapter.
I currently have a Pioneer AVIC-Z130bt and have the same issue at hand.
So the real question is, how soon will pioneer be able to research and engineer a cable that goes from the lightning port to our radios?
Also, I wonder, if I were to take the lightning cable that came with the iphone, plug it into the usb port that the iphone cable plugs into, then take a male-male headphone cable and plug it into the other female cable attached, would THAT work? Just wondering... I doubt it, but what if...
    Also found here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-50-iphone-5-what-we-know-so-far/
"From what we currently understand, the iPhone 5, with the 30 pin adapter and the current cable from pioneer:
    Will support audio iPod output.
Will support audio out apps (like Pandora)
Might support controls (thumb up, thumb down, next, etc)
Will NOT support video iPod, video app, or Enhanced App Radio functions."

  • Compiling a Carbon app w/library that supports Cocoa as well

We are linking to a library that supports video rendering in both Cocoa and Carbon/AGL environments. I can compile and link with a Cocoa application. That works fine. I just had to include the Carbon and AGL frameworks. No problem.
Where I am running into trouble is with our Carbon application. I have included the frameworks that are necessary for Cocoa to run (cocoa, foundataion, appkit, etc...). Here is where the trouble starts:
The compiler is, of course, confused by the objective-c directives. Okay, so I go into the build settings and add "-x\ objective-c++" to the cflags. I compile again and it no longer complains about objective-c++, the compilation finishes fine. Now the linker complains:
    "File not found: /Developer/....path...../Debug/...projectName.build..../Objects-normal/i386/mai n.o"
Sure enough there is no file, main.o, but there is a file, projName.LinkFileList.
Why (even though the compiler output says that main.o exists) isn't main.o sticking around? Is there anything obvious that I am doing wrong?
Excuse me if this is hazy. I'll clarify anything you ask.
NOTE: I cannot change this static lib to use only Carbon OR Cocoa. It (only) supports both and (I think) must be linked to both frameworks.
    Thanks for reading.

Why would the compiler be looking at Objective-C directives? It is one thing to link with a library that supports different languages. It is something else to #include headers from that other language. Do the Carbon headers have Cocoa in them? Are they not surrounded by macro guards?

Nothing works, has anyone else had this problem and found a way around it?
    Any and all help appreciated.

In addition to Mike's suggestions,  you only have 4GB of RAM and Mavericks does use more RAM than other versions. You may also want to look at the apps that startup on login and the possiblity of upgrading RAM.
