iphone 5 search in app store always gives blank result all the time, please advise how to solve? It worked several times when I first used the phone from unboxed, but since then, it never work again. Could you please advise how to fix? Thanks
Try reseting (not just turning off) your phone: hold down the Home button and the Power button on the top until the Silver Apple appears (ignore the red slider if it appears). See if the reset clears things up!

All of a sudden my gadgets don't display in my igoogle home page. Use to all the time and they will if I use internet explorer it just happens with mozilla firefox.

Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

The App Store on my iPad2 is using the wrong apple ID-how do I change it?
I can't update any apps on my iPad2 because the store keeps asking for my password on an appleID that is no longer valid. It was my old comcast email, which I cancelled, and even though I've tried signing out of store, and signing back in with the correct appleID...it still asks for the old comcast one! My iPhone 4 app store works just fine though. Anyone have ideas of how I can fix this?

Are you aware that if you restore your ipad that you will lose all data from your ipad and very difficult to get it back unless you had previously made a back-up of your data on itunes or in the cloud. and that would be on the computer you set those up on. (There are some independent apps out there that might help restore data but I don't have any experience with them...)
Also, I think if you restore on another computer you're supposed to have administrator rights and have the latest itunes update. And I think if you sync (if restoring is considered syncing with another computer, you'll be locked out of your computer or a new one.)
I don't know if there is a way for you to safely eject your ipad from your mom's laptop and find another way, but please read this

I have recently switched to the latest i-phone. my contacts are updated by i-cloud between phone and mac laptop.there are only about 720 contats showing on phone from app. 1250 on the computer. please advise how to correct phone
On the mac, only contacts in the "iCloud" section will sync to other devices. Those in the "On my mac" section do not. Could that be your problem?
To test the icloud situation, log into icloud.com with your mac's safari and to to the contacts page. What you see there is what icloud has received from mac and iphone. -

The problem would seem to be in the firewall in your router. Have you tried disabling it? I assume you've updated the router firmware, right? Consider bypassing the ISP provided router (using it as a modem only) and unsing another device such as an Aiport Express.

And just where did you get the screen repaired? Apple does not repair screens, they replace the entire phone. If you had it done by a 3rd party, then I'd say they most likely borked something up. Take it back to them. If the phone was actually replaced by Apple, then you have a 90 day warranty or the balance of the original warranty, whichever is longer. Take it in and have it looked at.
If it was repaired by a 3rd party, you are no longer eligible for a discounted out of warranty replacement from Apple. -

Please help. At work we have netgear and tplink. Since I updated my mini iPad and iPhone 4S with ios 7wifi drops all the time. What is the problem?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them.
