iPhone 4 will automatically reboot? Anyone have the same problem with me?
Hello there, B.Jian.
The following Knowledge Base article has some great information for troubleshooting the issue you may have with your phone:
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802
Specifically:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,

I purchased a silver 64 GB launch iPhone 5s (Verizon) from the apple online store. The device was restored from my 4s backup. While using my new 5s, it would occasionally crash and randomly reboot itself. At first I thought this was software related because of iOS7. After installing 7.0.1 and 7.0.2 the random reboots continued. In the middle of October I made a Genius bar appointment and they determined it was hardware and software failures. The Genius had me keep the same phone and instructed me to restore the iPhone 5s and use as "new phone". The reboots continued happening about 3 to 7 times a day, mostly while unlocking the phone. Another Genius Bar appointment was made and the phone was exchanged for a replacement. I was instructed (again) not to restore the device from a backup. The random reboots continued. Another Genius Bar appointment, replacment phone was issued and I was asked not to install any apps and see if that helped the situation. It did not help at all. I contacted Applecare and was redirected to Level 2 support. I was told to play the lottery because of the (bad) luck I was having was unheard of. Applecare Level 2 instructed me to get another replacement (my 4th iPhone 5s) and use the phone as "new" without installing apps or Touch ID. Less than 10 minutes after recieving my replacement iPhone, it rebooted itself after unlocking. I went back to the Genius Bar and they were in disbelief. They had me pull the SIM, it rebooted, log out of my Apple ID from the device, it rebooted. The Genius restored the phone as "new" and instructed me not no sign in to the device with my Apple ID. So, at this point I had a glorified phone and web surfing device. Two days went by and I had no random reboots. Applecare Level 2 instructed me to sign back in with my Apple ID, and within 24 hours it was rebooting again. Applecare Level 2 had a "white box" iPhone 5s shipped to an Apple Store near me, because they believed I may have been receiving mine from a bad batch of phones. Well, I can assure you that is not the case. 10 minutes after recieving my new phone (with new SIM) it has continued rebooting itself.
Since the middle of October I have not been able to listen to my music library on my phone, constantly had to reinstall apps and speak with Apple technical support over and over again.
I know I am not the only person experiencing this, but they cannot solve my issue.
Is it possible that my Apple ID is corrupt? That is the only thing left that I can think of.
Oh, and my iPad Air has no issues at all... go figure.I believe the problem has been solved!
I was never a fan of the parallax effect in iOS 7. I also didn't like the zoom in and out of apps when opening and closing. Because of this, I had always enabled the "Reduce Motion" featured in SETTINGS>GENERAL>ACCESSIBILITY.
Having the "Reduce Motion" option enabled and using the Touch ID to unlock the phone is what caused my reboot issue. AppleCare Level 2 support has notified the iOS engineers of this bug and it should be resolved in a future update.
Turn off "REDUCE MOTION" feature to resolve the random reboot issue of iOS 7. -
Hello, I have the following problem when I want to do the following:
I have to log measurements with a logger from pico (www.picotech.co.uk). This is a windows-software. Therefor I'm using parallels desktop 5. The measurement should take about three weeks. In this time the MBP way not turn off or go into sleep, because the pico-software must take every 5 seconds a sample of the voltage and write it to disk.
What's the problem:
After a certain time (always a little less than three hours) without keyboard or keypad access, the MBP reboots. When I touch the touchpad every two hours, the MBP does not reboot. So I can get through the day (when I'm in my testlab), but during the night the MMBP reboots.
What have I done to avoid this (without success):
- standard in Parallel's the windows energy settings are to never shut-down or hibernate
- in the Mac osX Lion software, I set the energy settings to never sleep.
- I downloaded and activated the program "Caffeine" to simulate activity to prevent MBP going asleep.
But nothing helps (till now).
I hope you guys can help me out...
Here I post the part of the system log when the reboot takes place. Can somebody confirm (or deny) that Parallels Desktop 5 could be the cause?

30/08/11 00:55:40,000 kernel sleepI have found the cause of the automatic rebooting of my MacBook Pro. In fact it was not an automatic rebooting, but an automatic logging-out of the system.
In the security and privacy settings (beveiliging en privacy in Dutch), there is an option to automatic logout after a certain time of inactivity (log uit na een periode van xxx minuten).
This was selected and was put on 160mins. I don't know how this was set this way: did I do it one time myself or was it by default this way.
Because I get the same login-screen after display sleep, PC-sleep, and logging-out, I couldn't see a difference. -
ipod 4 is displaying blue frozen screen and black screen with apple logo. I try to turn power off but as soon as it goes out it automatically reboots. Plugged it into the usb port on my mac and it doesnt do anything. It doesnt appear in Itunes. Help?
Let the battery fully darain. After charging for an least an hour try a reset and restore. Use Recovery mode if necessary.
If not successful, then time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. -
On the iPhone, if you move an e-mail from the In box to Junk, will iPhone automatically place future e-mails from the same sender into Junk? In other words, can you teach iPhone to filter out Junk as you do on a Mac?
I don't think so, you would need to set that on your browser when you log into your email account.

After updating my iphone 5s to ios 8.0.2, I am not able to use watsapp and line properly, iphone automatically comes out of the apps after few mins. Please suggest how to fix it.
I had this same problem with what's app. There is a new update for the app on the app store which is compatible with ios8. Update the app, or delete it and re-add it. I found a lot of apps weren't compliant with ios8, but after updating everything worked fine.

I am working with Georgia DOT and we have created an app to track our state vehicles using IPhone 5. My question is: will an iPhone automatically turn off location services? If it goes below a certain battery power level, and if so how do you disable this in settings.
Message was edited by: mickyelI don't believe that this will happen, however, the entire iPhone will shut down when the iPhone reaches the auto-shutdown power level. There is no way to turn that Off other that connecting the iPhone to power.

My iPhone 4 reboot every time i used it.
A month before, started to reboot ocasionally. Now it does it all time.
When it crashed show green or brown forms.
After force the reboot (power + home) these forms still apears but in a while the vanish.
In General > Information > Diagnostics appears panic errors with "CRC! error".
I restaured it as new and it still rebooting.
The iPhone was sent to Apple two years ago and I think that I have a refurbished one.
I think that its a hardware problem.
Any idea to fix it?
Its out of warranty, where i can go?
(SPAIN)I'm seeing same issue in a few threads but no resolution on here anywhere yet??
I'm running iPhone 5s with 7.1.2 and this just started today after first reporting power stuck at 43%.. after reboot fully charged at 100% but now power cycling every 3-5 mins with CRC errors.. did backup and restore (with a bunch of reboots in the middle) and it came back to the same state all over again.. CRC errors are usually memory issues, right? ..and well written software should block out bad memory sectors to avoid hitting them again, right? apple's iphone 6 upgrade strategy or a really bad batch of memory all dying at same time.. and software that doesn't know how to handle it. ? -
Init 0 or shutdown -i0 on solaris 8 automatically reboots
I have a solaris 8 server and when I issue init 0 or shutdown -i0 it automatically reboots. I was able to issue init 5 and it shutdown/power down, but not init 0.
I looked at inittab and it shows
s0:0:wait:/sbin/rc0 >/dev/msglog 2<>/dev/msglog </dev/console
Any suggestions?
thanksHi
Thank you. I have 2 SunFire v440s. Both have auto-boot?true and I only have this problem with one of them. I was able to issue init 5 and the server shut down, but both init 0 or shutdown -i0 rebooted.
Unfortunately the server with the problem is remote so I can't do allot of testing with it.
Thank you for your suggestions. -
What is data roaming? Does it cost extra?
Why doesn't my iPhone automatically connect to AT&T service? Sometimes I have to go directly to Carriers in the Settings to connect to AT&T 3G. Thank you in advance. There is no local data roaming or call roaming in the U.S. as a subscriber with AT&T. Wherever AT&T has coverage in the U.S. is included.
AT&T does not own all the towers in the areas where they have coverage in the U.S. AT&T calls this "off net usage"
The following was copied from AT&T's wireless service agreement.
+If your minutes of use (including unlimited services) on other carrier networks ("off-net usage") during any two consecutive months exceed your off-net usage allowance, AT&T may, at its option terminate your service, deny your continued use of other carriers' coverage or change your plan to one imposing usage charges for off-net usage. Your off-net usage allowance is equal to the lesser of 750 minutes or 40% of the Anytime Minutes included with your plan. AT&T will provide notice that it intends to take any of the above actions, and you may terminate the agreement.+ -
Will my photos taken on my iPad/iPhone automatically store on vice versa is cloud sharing is on? And if the case is it slow?
This FAQ will answer your questions http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486
Basically, yes. But the photos will be a lower quality then what would be added to your computer's iPhoto or if you are on a Windows machine, the iCloud program needs to be installed to take benefit of this feature. which can be downloaded here : http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455 -
Is there a way to access the passcode previously entered to access a wi-fi network that the MacBook Pro and iPhone automatically remembers and stores?
Not on an iPhone, but on your Mac: Keychain Access>Enter the name of the WiFi network in the search bar>Info Button>Check Box "Show Password">Enter your Admin password>If will appear.

Taking picture with the back camera causing iphone to reboot
Hi,
I've purchased a brand new Iphone 4, whenever I try to take picture with the back camera, it causes the Iphone to reboot. I tried rebooting it multiple time, resetting all the settings, but it doesnt solve it.
Any Idea on how to solve this ?If a Reset and a Restore from backup and as a new iPhone or not from backup does not resolve these two issues, time to give AppleCare a call, or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.
