IPhone 5, backlight works but there is no image on the screen. How do I fix the problem or get a replacement?

I have an iPhone 5 32GB that is less than a year old, I smashed the screen not long ago and had it replaced and now the backlight works but there is no image on the screen. Its fully working apart from the screen, can I get a replacement? Or how else would anyone suggest to fix the problem?

Make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple store or contact AppleCare. Some Apple Stores in the US can replace the display in an iPhone 5 for $149. If it requires more than that, a replacement phone will cost you $229.

Restart your phone,hold the home button and the off button down till the apple symbol comes up. If that doesnt fix it , you need to do a restore in itunes by connecting to itunes , click on your phones name to the left, then click restore in the center of the screen and restore from backup.

I changed my apple ID and password because I couldn't answer the security question they were over 15 years old and they also had my sons name as authorised to make changes after I got verified with new info I went to iCloud and it still had my old info and I can't sign into that now please tell me how I can fix this problem

the appleID is the connection between the device and icloud and what apps and media itunes store see that you own
if you change appleID you start from scratch
settings->store->appleID is where you remove what appleID your ios device see as yours

It worked but I knew I should put it in rice so I did.I turned it off and out it standing up ports down in rice I turned it on about half an hour later to show my mom. Then quickly turned it off and put it in rice again. When I got home from school I checked it and I can see there is still water in the phone but the whole screen works I haven't tested out the camera but the finger print scanner works. What should I do? Please include prices of repair or replacement I had the iPhone 5s 16 GB I would like the exact same one.

Apple does not repair them. They replace them. $269 for a 5, 5c or 5s replacement.

Did you try a reset yet?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't revive the iPad, you could try restoring the device next.

The fall seems to have caused the problem and I imagine that the logic behind this suggestion is that if the impact caused the problem, another impact could help to fix it. HT201401 I just restored my iPhone and it worked, but it will not let me go any further (iTunes telling me "The iPhone you have connected may be damaged and cannot be activated") so I'm trying to find out how to get past this... Why is it "damaged"?

It all started when one day all of a sudden the heat was bad here, and I sat in the car with the AC on and my phone on the dash board, charging. Next thing that happened was that when I got home I let my son play with it (which he always takes good care of it, watching youtube videos) and then later on that evening when I payed attention to the back of it, it looked super swollen. You could see where tears in the white backing of my iPhone were from whatever had caused this. I thought it was from the heat, just expanding the case. Well, it had obviously got too hot in the sun on the dashboard and over a few hours had almost got to the point of exploding. I did not know that just a little bit of heat from the sun could do that, so anyways.
I ordered a new battery online and replaced that, in the process loosing two screws, the two at the bottom which hold the LED touch screen in place. Although it doesn't move without the screws, I do need to replace those also. Everything works fine. Buttons, touch screen, I just think there might be a small problem with the mother board, from the battery swelling and causing it to bend, or even heating the metal on it. That would suck, total bummer.. Anyways, anyone with a solution or even a bit of advice, or just a suggestion please feel free to help. I have taken it apart one last time after I restored it, and cleaned it very little with alcohol, thinking that might be a problem, but still nothing yet...
I hope I get this phone working again, not use for a phone, but for games, music, and videos. Thank anyone for your help! It's greatly appreciated!

If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.

I have a problem! I was using my iPhone without sync. Then I format my pc again and I was syncing with it and I got distracted and clicked on something and after even if a click sync, change anything and applying and erasing the historical syncronization under preferences it doesn't work... On sync it keeps deleting my apps from my iPhone instead saving it! If I change anything and click applying show a message ask if I want to delete those apps which I have on my iPhone then if I click continue it will be deleted it and if a press cancel do not do nothing neither sync.
I tried to unistall and install more than 2 times and repeat the steps for sync and don't change!
What I supposed to do? Please need help!

This should only occur if this is a NEW computer or your first sync and you have information from another computer.
Has this iPhone been synced with another computer before?

If you follow that link your Apps WILL be on your computer and any music you have brought......
Now, do not worry, even if you do accidentally delete your apps, you can download them again for free with your itunes store account, just keep in mind you will lose any saved data!
Follow this and hit continue, the only information that could get lost is any content (music, videos etc) synced from ANOTHER computer that WAS NOT brought from your account.
