Iphone 5 batt problems after ios6.1.2

Hi guys,
Someone, please teach me how to downgrade ios6.1.2 to ios.6.0.... Greatly appreciated!

not that I am aware of.  I have a 4S with 6.1.2 and my battery life is noticeably MUCH worse.  Waiting for an update to be released that addresses this.  It seems to be semi wide spread.
Here are some tips from Apple: http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html

  • Iphone 4 problems after 7.0.2 update--Especially with keyboard entries

I am having serious iphone 4 problems after installing the 7.0.2 update.  Mostly it is with use of the keyboard.  Each key stroke takes about 8 seconds to show. It is truly disabling.  Apparently many others have had various problems.  The one thing the Apple Tech would tell me was that 7.0.2 cannot be uninstalled.  I have restarted & reset. Settings shows I have more that 20 free GB of space, though I don't know if that's important.
Sure would appreciate help!  Thank you!

settings - general - reset - reset network settings.
also turn off automatic app updated...

I recently upgraded my iphone 4 to ios6 on wifi. My laptop charger has been broken for a while so i havn't been able to sync my iphone to my itunes or back it up in any way. Now that the ios6 upgrade is done, my phone completely turned off and is now showing on the screen to plug in my phone to itunes.
DESPERATE, i am back on my laptop with a borrowed charger and i plugged my phone into itunes. It now says i have to restore it back to factory settings. Meaning, i will lose all of my contacts, pictures, etc. because i havn't been able to back it up onto my laptop.
I definitely don't want anything deleted off of my phone. Did any body else have this problem? Is there ANYTHING i can do to refrain from restoring it and losing all of my memory?
Couldn't you have backed it up to the "iCloud"? or some other cloud based storage before you did the upgrade? If you do not back things up before you upgrade your OS, you are only asking for things to go wrong.

  • IMessage problems after iOS6 update

    Hi All,
Is anyone getting similar problems to this after iOS6 updates?
My iPad is used on 2 wifi networks, my home network and work wifi, I pick the pad up on a morning, shove it in my bag, go to work and pick up the wifi there, carry on as normal, repeat in reverse when heading in the opposite direction.
On iOS5, my iMessages would simply carry on the conversation when rejoining either network *there is no 3g connection on this ipad*
Since updating, I leave for home, get to work and iMessage refuses to resume, messages stick at about 90% sent, then fail, I head home , rejoin the home network and boom, it just picks up where it left off
When at work, occasionally it might start working after 10 minutes or so, but today i've been sat about 5 hours so far, no dice
I have tried just about every combination of restarts, resets, updates I can think of, including, changing the DNS on my device to the same one I use at home *8.8.8.8* , shutting iMessage down, renewing the DHCP lease, Hard resets, soft resets ,  forget wifi network, restore network setting  you name itI've tried it
Under iOS5 I had used the device for months without doing so much as a power down and not had one single 'not delivered' failure on an iMessage, since iOS6 I've probably had abotut 50% service from this.
As far as I know, nothing has changed on either wifi networks, everything else works fine on the works network, browings, itunes, app store, skype etc etc.
I'm at a loss as to what to do next, and yes, I've also done a full device restore as well for good measure, with a iCloud back up, again, it restored, went to messages and it just sat there doing nothing until I got home , where the messages just sent first go.
Massively frustrated in what I can only see as something that's been introduced as a result of this iOS6 upgrade.

I may have found my own answer... it seems that anything less than 3 bars of wifi signal after rejoining a network and the message wont send, I switched my device off, moved closer to the wifi router, tricky as it's in another building, rebooted, managed to get two bars of wifi, still wouldn't send, moved even closer to the router manged to just get 3 bars and pow, the message sent right away!
Moved away back to my normal desk at work, signal dropped to 2/1 bars of wifi, however now, messages continue to send now.
Clearly when I'm at home I'm only ever a few feet away from my wifi router and always have solid 3 bars of signal, not the case at work.
However, this still only appears to be something that's been introduced at the iOS6 update as this was never an issues prior to this, but has been an issue right from day one after updating!

  • Sound problems after ios6

So i have upgraded to ios6, ever since i have no sound when playing music or videos, buttons or apps. Siri and ring tone stilll works but nothing else. The mute button is not on when i press the volume button it just comes up as "ringer" no up or down info. I have rebooted a few times, tried pulling the head phones in and out and it still is not working. I am currently restoring the phone so hopefully that will help. has anyone else experienced this??/

I had/have a similar problem.  I upgraded a 4s the day ios 6 was released and had absolutely no issues.  About 2 weeks later, i tried deleting music files that were duplicated from iTunes - this existed befoer the upgrade - and couldn't delete them all. I decided to retore the phone from a backup and during the restore, iTunes re-downloaded the ios6.0 update and re-applied it.
since then, my phone audio is too loud - causing a speaker rattle on the handset - and the volume buttons make no diference.  they indicate that audio is going up or down but no change happens to the actual volume.  music is fine, it's just call volume.  using a headset doesn't exhibit the same problem.
After the restore, I also started getting the wifi problem where the iphone will not automatically connect to networks that it used to.  there are 3 other iPhone 4s' in the house that have also been upgraded and they do NOT have the same problem.
After a couple of weeks of frsutration on this, i'm currently re-installing the phone/ios etc.

  • Iphone4 battery problem after ios6 upgrade

drastic reduction of battery life after upgrade to ios6 . Help

This seems to be a major problem for all IPhone 4 users, apple will definitely repair this in the next update. For know you can:
Adjust brightness: Dimming the screen is another way to extend battery life. Go to Settings > Brightness & Wallpaper and drag the slider to the left to lower the default screen brightness. In addition, turning on Auto-Brightness allows the screen to adjust its brightness based on current lighting conditions. Go to Settings > Brightness & Wallpaper and set Auto-Brightness to On.
Turn off push mail: If you have a push mail account such as Yahoo! or Microsoft Exchange, turn off push when you don't need it. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data and set Push to Off. Messages sent to your push e-mail accounts will now be received on your phone based on the global Fetch setting rather than as they arrive.
Fetch new data less frequently: Applications such as Mail can be set to fetch data wirelessly at specific intervals. The more frequently e-mail or other data is fetched, the quicker your battery may drain. To fetch new data manually, from the Home screen choose Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data and tap Manually. To increase the fetch interval, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data and tap Hourly. Note that this is a global setting and applies to all applications that do not support push services.
Turn off push notifications: Some applications from the App Store use the Apple Push Notification service to alert you of new data. Applications that extensively rely on push notifications (such as instant messaging applications) may impact battery life. To disable push notifications, go to Settings > Notifications and disable notifications for select applications. Note that this does not prevent new data from being received when the application is opened. Also, the Notifications setting will not be visible if you do not have any applications installed that support push notifications.
Minimize use of location services: Applications that actively use location services such as Maps may reduce battery life. To disable location services, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services or use location services only when needed.
I hope my answer was usefull, if so do not forget to click (this helped me) or (this solved my question), thank you!

  • IPhone 4S problems after IOS 7.0.4 install

    Hi all,
I installed IOS 7.0.4 OTA onto my iPhone 4S..
Install went fine, but now i'm stuck with loads of problems that I didn't have with IOS 7.0.3
    Facebook keeps stalling
Alarm doesn't seem to be working
General usage of the phone seems sluggish
    Poor reception and connectivity.
First the WiFi couldn't find my router (sat right next to airport device and currently using it on my laptop) and now it is greyed out.
    Infuriating! Any solutions?

I found a "solution" that works for me but isn't really great.
I tested a couple of different configurations, reset and so on. The battery life is nearly the same like in 7.0.3 until I set up the IMAP connection to my third-party email provider. From this moment on it goes like 1% every ten minutes. When I set up the third-party email provider via POP3 and push every 15min it's almost the same. Although the device should go to standby again after fetching emails, it looks like it stays "active" which can be seen at the Usage.
In 7.0.3 my Usage was like 5hrs on screen time at 60 hrs standby until I needed to recharge. In 7.0.4 it was 15hrs on screen time at 18hrs standby - and I didn't change the way I actually used the device!
My solution was to set up the POP3 connection to the third-party email provider on manual.
Now the Usage displayed is more or less like in 7.0.3 again - but it is really annoying to check for emails manually.
Maybe this solution could also work for you. Feedback would be great.

  • A few iPhone 4S problems after replacement

Let me start by saying, my iPhone is not unlocked or modded in any way...So yesterday I received my replacement 4S. I have iCloud, and everything is synced and backed up. I also have iTunes match.
When I restored my new 4S with iCloud, for some reason, my songs were not put back on my phone. Instead, they were all in the cloud. I have over 5k songs. I had just went through the ones I wanted to keep on my old phone and which I wanted in the cloud. After which, I backed up (successfully) to the cloud. So, logically, after I restored my new 4S, everything should have went back to where it was on my old phone. So I took my old phone, and backed it up to my computer. Again, I restored from the backup on my new 4S. Same story.
Now, not only do I have to go through all my songs and redownload them from the cloud, but now almost every time I unlock my iPhone, it asks for my AppleStore Password. Oh, and none of my playlists are on my phone as of this morning (though they were when I went to bed last night).
None of this was a problem on my past phone. But all of a sudden, the switch from my one 4S to the other, just didn't go well. And I've done this for both my wife and my dad, and both worked flawlessly. But for some reason, mine is really screwy.  And now I am having another ******* problem with my iPhone. It seems to all be focused around the music. Some artists are reading "Unknown" even though all the info is right on both my computer and my old iPhone.
Yet another problem I am having, is some of the songs will not play. It shows that it is playing in the top bar, the icon control shows that it is playing, but the timer bar doesn't move and there is no sound. What the **** is going on with this phone?! I'm tempted to send this new one back, keep my old one, and start this process all over again, because this is ridiculous!

    Tjroksta,
You're not addressing Apple here, just other users exactly like yourself.  Before you make yourself look even more foolish, consider posting on Apple's feedback site, where Apple actually listens:

  • Iphone 4s problems after 5.1.1 upgrade

    Hi all,
I know this has been posted many previous times however having read through most of those I am confused as to what to do next...
I recently updated my Iphone 4s with the 5.1.1 OS. For the next few days following this the phone displayed 'invalid sim' pop up. I found that if i turned the phone off and on again I could resume normal service. However the message appeared more and more often until one time when I turned it back on it just displayed 'no service' and it has stayed like this now for 5 days. I have tried switching airplane mode on and off, 3g on and off, it still says 'no service' and occasionally 'searching'. There is no option under settings for 'carrier' and when I go to settings>phone it says my number is unknown.
I am with orange. Any advise on what to do or try, is this an orange problem or an apple one? Unfortunately I am a fair treck away from any Apple store or I would have gone there straight away.

Hi alls i can suggest is pop along to genius bar and show them hopefully they will either fix or replace for you.  Other than that just restore iphone

  • Cannot import photos from iphone to iphoto after ios6 upgrade

I upgraded to IOS6 a few days ago. Now iphoto does not start up automatically when I attach my phone.  When I open the app, my phone is not recognized and the "import photos" button is no where to be found.
I've tried checking off photostream, unchecking photostream; changing the preferences to image capture; rebooting my phone.  I really need to get these photos off of my phone as it is full.  Please help!!!
    Thanks!

Yes, I did solved the problem. It was not with iPhoto but with the iTunes. Once I delete my phone profile all worked. I did not write the steps down but if you do it please post it here.

  • IPhone calendar problems after syncing

I know I must have done something wrong - I finally synced my iPhone to my iCal on my MacBook and now I can't go back into my iPhone calendar and delete or edit any existing appointments on my iPhone. What gives? Is there a quick fix to this? I am new to this whole experience so be easy on me...

    roadog51 wrote:
I also use Outlook, iPhone4, windows XP on my PC......everything EXCEPT my notes syncs.
When I plug in my iPhone, and go to the info tab, notes is clicked to sync but it won't.
    Any ideas?
After reading a few others post on the same subject, what worked for them was rebooting your PC or Mac, doing a RESET on your iPhone and try again. You may wish to add a new note to both the computer and iPhone before syncing and see if that helps.
