IPhone 5 Bluetooth volume to loud

I Have an iPhone 5 running 6.0.1, and I have it paired with the Jabbra freeway.  During its use, The volume level is to high, adjusting either the i phone or the freeway does not lower the volume.   Is there a fix for this?   Additionally, all the functions are working properly and the freeway recognizes all the commands.

  • Iphone 4s bluetooth volume problems through Alpine HU

Having trawled through numerous reports of bluetooth problems with the 4S I have not found one which replicates my issue although I could have missed it.
Essentially I think my query boils down to " Does the 3GS output music, via bluetooth at a higher level than the 4S, assuming both using IOS5.0.1" .Because my new iphone 4S is much much quieter than my old 3gs and I want to establish whether this is a software problem or a faulty unit.
For the last couple of years I have been using a 3GS which paired perfectly with my Alpine CDA-9887/Bt400 stereo in the car, handled calls well and when playing music via the bluetooth input ( which it did exceptionally well) it was at the same sound level as the other inputs for a given vol setting, i.e. I could switch from radio, to disc to bluetooth withouth changing the volume.
Having just changed to an iphone 4S I have found that although the unit pairs ok and seems to handle calls well enough (although rather mushy sounding compared to 3GS) it is very quiet when using the ipod function via bluetooth.
Volume and sound quality are very subjective I realise but to give an indication of the problem, the Alpine head unit has a volume scale from 0-39. On all inputs (except with the 4S) a volume of 5 is fine for spoken voice, 12 good for music on the move 21 is very very loud pushing the cars speakers to the limit. These levels are approx the same when playing music through an iphone 3GS and an ipod touch via bluetooth.
By contrast the iphone 4S is inaudible at vol 5, needs 20 to be listenable to on the move and even at vol 39 sounds thin and about as load as a 3GS at vol18  so ful vol not possible from my iphone 4S
The main problem with this is that if you are listening to music from the iphone 4S then switch to the radio without remembering to drastically reduce volume it is likely to result in damage to the speakers and/or your eardrums. The problem is compounded as I use the TomTom app regularly and this exibits the same problem, the volume needs to be very high for instructions and then if I change input to listen to the news....ouch.
I have tried 2 iphone 3GS's and an ipod touch on this Alpine unit and they all work perfectly, being able to maintain the same output for a given HU vol level as the radio etc. I have tried increasing the bluetooth volume on the 4S handset, have tried clean restore to see if there is some obscure problem with my backup all to no avail.
Has anyone upgraded from a 3GS to a 4S and found the music level in a car via bluetooth much quieter, the same or louder and does this sound like a hardware problem.
    thanks.

Funny Apple told me to eat **** and call my car place.
    HELP !!!
It’s not like we are working with Samsun here. They should have thought it out fixed all the bugs then went ahead. I am...... ******!  My 3 week old Volkswagen Tiguan no longer plays my MUSIC nor my Audible. Its so not ok. This is a breach of contract. I am told by apple you don’t have to update but my carrier said just the opposite our phones will not work without the updates...
Apple get you crap together, I had such respect you. You have let a lot of apple fans down.

  • Bluetooth volume too loud, volume step 1 is silent

Did this too... Still the same...

When connecting a Sony SBH-20 Bluetooth Headset to my Z1 Compact there is no sound when Bluetooth voume is set to 1. I need to raise it to 2 for the sound to be output and then it is too loud for me when listening to music. SW version in mobile is 1.4.4.A.0.108I have also tried with a Jabra Play BT headset with same result.Update: Now I have tried with a Sony SBH80 and then it works ! Step 1 on the volume does output sound and on a reasonable level when playing music. For the SBH20 and Jabra Play the problem persists, but to be clear the in-call volume works fine on all steps, it is the Media/Music volume that is silent on step 1. It also seams that step 10 does not give any increase for Media on these two headsets. SW error ?

That is probably because you have one or more bookmarks with a long title.<br />
The width of a column in the Bookmarks menu list is in current Firefox versions automatically adjusted to fit the bookmark with the longest name.<br />
You can check the names of the bookmarks and make the longer ones shorter.<br />

  • Dreaded Bluetooth Volume

I purchased a pair of Flag ship sony BT headphones, which also come with a wire should this be needed. I tested them and noticed that the volume was lower when using Bluetooth over wired. I actually thought this was a trait of Bluetooth, but NO.
I got my Jabra Clipper and tested and that also wasnt loud as direct wire.
What i also noticed was that the controls on the Headphones and track changes were choppy on the Iphone,
I extensively tested various Bluetooth headsets with the phone Ipad etc and all were the same, On further googling i find massive threads on this issue.
I tested against my Nokia Lumia 920 and it was perfect no choopy track changes sound volume as loud with Bt as wired.
Apple whats the score here, its an IOS thing, not hardware, can we fix this is there a Hotfix ?
Im running latest IOS on 4s and Ipad 2
    Thanks

    Check this:
Go to phone, press menu, options, general options, and check the volume

  • I have programmed my Iphone to automatically connect to confcalls (dialing the nbr, pausing, dialing the PIN code). Works fine from the Iphone as such. When I connect my Iphone in Bluetooth to my car, only the phone

I have programmed my Iphone to automatically connect to confcalls (dialing the nbr, pausing, dialing the PIN code).
Works fine from the Iphone as such.
When I connect my Iphone in Bluetooth to the voice-driven system in my car (Mercedes C), only the phone number appears to be transmitted. Entering a conference call number via the Iphone while driving is not a good idea.
How can I fix this ?

That *****.  I sell electronics on ebay.  Before listing them, i have to test and clean them. I have worked with microsoft Zune, you could sync via wireless through the network to your host computer.
i was hoping Apple would add that feature or the ability to connect to my computer via WiFi or Bluetooth and sync it wirelessly...   It would be sweet to have the bluetooth and wireless opened up so you can do more than just  connect to headphones or a headset...
I upgraded to the iPhone 4 this past december, i am on replacement # 2 or my 3rd iPhone 4...  I was hoping for some upgrades in quality.  Also being left handed, it seemed to drop many calls and give me very poor reception.  i added a Griffin Elan Form Graphie case that covers all but the front, top button, bottom speakers and volume control buttons and the call and reception quality has improved.  But I sure would have loved to see some improvements in the quality and function of the phone...
Thanks for your input, i really appreciate your replies...

  • IPhone thinks Bluetooth is still active

My wife and I have identical iPhone 4s' with iOS 5.1, but...
She has her iPhone paired to the bluetooth in a Subaru Forester and the connection is fine, mp3s play thru the speakers, etc...the problem is that when she turns off the vehicle and goes inside, the iPhone has no volume for ringers/games/etc...  I have to either turn off Bluetooth, or play an mp3, which will provide a dropdown in the lower right-hand corner to select "iPhone", "CAR MEDIA" or cancel.  When I select iPhone, then the volume is back.
I paired my phone, as she did and did the same exact steps, but the bluetooth connection is terminated and sounds are present w/o having to turn off bluetooth or select "iPhone" as needed above.
I have compared all the settings and I can't find anything that is different.  Any ideas?

Tell her to contact her carrier and get a new phone number.

  • Lost ability to control bluetooth volume with iOS 4

I have an iPhone 3Gs and upgraded to iOS4 last night. Everything works well except that I can no longer control my BlueAnt V1 bluetooth volume via the headset or the iphone. I have re-booted the phone, re-paired the headset to no avail. The volume control works fine for speaker and phone directly, but stays on high with the bluetooth... Any other suggestions? Is it just a new software glitch?

Did you only try re-pairing your did you delete the old pairing first.
Try deleting the old pairing in both the phone and the BlueAnt, restart both devices and then try re-pairing the two together.
    In the iPhone to delete the pairing;
Settings - General - Bluetooth - Select the blue arrow of the device - Forget this device
To restart the iphone, hold home/sleep buttons together until you see the swipe to turn off and do that. The turn the phone back on.
You'll have to look up your user manual on how to delete the pairing in the BlueAnt.
    Hope this is a help

  • Iphone 4 bluetooth - poor audio quality

I received complaints DAILY from friends and colleagues that my voice sounds muffled (or under water or that they simply can not understand me) when speaking to them with my bluetooth handsfree speaker kit in my car. This is very frustrating because I can hear them fine.
Reading numerous threads on forums this seems to be a SOFTWARE or HARDWARE issue. So many complaints. I have done some basic troubleshooting in that I bought TWO different BLUEANT s4 and s3 bluetooth speaker units. They work perfectly on my Blackberry - no complaints from any calls there.
It is definitely an issue with the iPhone 4.
I it incredibly hard to believe that no one Apple Employees use a bluetooth handsfree device to speak when they are in the car.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a software patch coming out? And has anyone found a solution or a handsfree unit that works correctly with the iPhone 4.

FYI - The volume on Blueant S4 works fine when pair with a Nokia mobile. The problem only happen with iphone 4S.

  • Lack of Nano 7th bluetooth volume

Lack of volume compared to my Iphone 4S?

Oh yeah, I have the option to switch to media/aux control. I mean my car works fine with the iPhone 5 bluetooth. I mean isn't it the same as the iPod Nano?

  • IPhone 4S Bluetooth not discovery bluetooth headsets

My iPhone 4S bluetooth is not discovering my orginial iPhone Bluetooth Headset and it's also not discovering my Motorola S10-HD Bluetooth Stereo Headset. It does discover my MacBook in a matter of seconds.  I've made certain that both headset devices are fully charged and turned on. I've tried with Siri enabled and disabled, no change.
When I say it does not discover my bluetooth headsets, meaning my headset(s) are turned on, bluetooth is turned on my iPhone 4S and discovery is active, but niether headset devices appear in the list.
    Any thoughts?
Thank you in advance for your time.
    -Erica

I finally solved my own issue, so this is for everyone else!  On my Motorola S10-HD Bluetooth Stereo Headset, I did the factory reset function that consist of holding down the power button in the center ("O") and holding down the volume increase button on the left ear piece ("+") until the LED light changes to blue.  I already had my bluetooth turned on my iPhone 4S and it paired it right away.

  • Blackberry Bold 9650 versus the Tour Bluetooth Volume

I had the Tour and the trackball broke.
It was replaced with a Bold 9650.
I was using a Blueant speakerphone.
Volume was loud with the Tour.
I would say its barely adequate with the Bold.
When OS 6 came out, I installed it after about a month.
It  caused a problem with a work program and I downgraded it. (Yes the volume on Bluetooth was awful with OS 5 and 6 I downgraded the software 05-06-11)
It's now Platform Version: 4.2.0.424 and Application Version: 5.0.0.975.
If I pair any bluetooth device to it, the volume sucks.
If I then pair the same device to any other bluetooth phone a friend has that is not my Bold, it works good, the way it did with the Tour I had.
    Enhanced Audio does doodly squat.
Bass Boost, Treble Boost is the same expectation "let down".
Changing the Media Options for louder volume does not do anything for my bluetooth call volume.
I don't understand why any other bluetooth phone or my previous Tour had/have such a louder sound than this Bold.

  • Bluetooth volume low with new ios4 update

I can hardly hear the notifications on my Bluetooth now. It's at normal volume when I send a message but if I recive a email or text the volume is very low yet I have all volumes up all the way. Is there a new Bluetooth volume I have to turn up with ios4? Or is it that another update screwed with the Bluetooth again. Was working just great befor I updated to ios4. Please help I'm missing lots of emails and notification. Thanks!

It's not so much of a volume issue it's more like the Bluetooth update has made it so that text alerts and such are not making a sound because it transmits too quickly now to the Bluetooth device. For example I can hear my Bluetooth click on for the alert but the iPhone has transmitted the alert too fast for the sound to come. I get the alert about 1 out of 5 times. Yet the only way I'm able to know I get alert is like is said cuz I hear my device click on for the sound. Don't get me wrong though the update to the Bluetooth technology is great cuz it has faster audio with video and iPod and other things. It's just this bluetooth text and email alerts are not working properly. The ringer works great for calls too actually better with the new update cuz I now get the song transmitted to my bluetooth not just the standard beep anymore which I like.

  • Does iphone support bluetooth MAP technology

Does iphone support bluetooth MAP technology?
I bought a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee using Uconnect and it won't read my text message out loud.

iPhone does support the bluetooth MAP profile as long as it is iPhone 4 and later. Refer to article below for further supported profiles.
iOS: Supported Bluetooth profiles - Apple Support
The article also states that certain profiles have different responses to different devices and that is determined on both sides (the Jeep software and the iPhone). Depending on the software that Jeep is running it may have limited usability with the iPhone. Best thing to do is first, update the iPhone and see if that helps. If that does not work, remove the Jeep as a device from the Bluetooth Menu in the iPhone and re-add it. Third, get in contact with Jeep or uConnect to see if the iPhone is supported with the MAP profile. If it is, see if they can assist in getting it working correctly. A lot of car dealers will also help in getting it working.

  • IPhone 5S Bluetooth call quality

Problem: Degraded iPhone sound quality over Bluetooth when making voice call, FaceTime video/audio calls and Siri requests.
I have been waiting for Apple to release a software update to fix this issue for some time. It appears to be a known issue however I have yet to see a response from Apple regarding the issue. Oddly, streaming music from my iPhone via Bluetooth delivers crystal clear sound. I suspect the iPhone uses a different Bluetooth profile for call streaming. Would someone be able to confirm this?
It is worth noting that I am having this issue with every one of my Bluetooth devices. I have a Bluetooth-enabled Sony HiFi, Sony Bluetooth earphones and a Pioneer car stereo system with Parrot Bluetooth.
Does anybody else have this issue? Would someone else with an iPhone 5S + Bluetooth devices be able to try and see if they share the exact same problem (that is degraded sound quality when making FaceTime video/audio calls and Siri requests over Blueooth)
    Thanks.
