IPhone 5 boxes around the unlock?

I have recently bought an iphone 5 off a friend and it is coming up with a white box around the clock and around the slide to unlock part which means i cant unlock it or acess any of my messages. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Tunr off Voiceover.
Triple click Home.
Then Settings > General > Accessibility and turn VoiceOver Off.

You can also go to Settings>General>Accessibility Turn it off, and at the bottom set the triple click shortcut the way you want.

You appear to have the VoiceOver Accesibility feature turned on.
Try triple clicking the Home button and then going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turning all the Accessibility feature off. If problem see:

Is there a way to create menus without boxes around the text?

I'm fairly new to Muse, but I'm hung up on this one issue. I'd like to insert a text menu without the boxes around the text.
What I have tried:
Dragged in a horizontal menu from the Widget Library to my header for my master menu. I've spent over an hour trying to find a way to make the surrounding boxes go away, but can't. I realize that I can insert text, and link the text to particular pages, but I don't want to have to do this if at all possible.

You can use No Fill for menu items and define same for all states :
Also if there is stroke value, you can lower down to 0 which would remove any border weight.

Hi - I'm not only having trouble waking up my MBP from sleep and having to restart repeatedly which is a pain in itself, but now when it restarted, I have these black boxes surrounding things, e.g., there is a black box around the red "close" button on the upper left corner of this page. There is also an oblong resizable black box sitting on top of anything. The content changes depending on the actions I take. Right now it says, "You are currently on a close button. To click this button, which closes the current window, press Control-Option-Space." Right now I'm open in Firefox, but it doesn't matter if only Finder is open, it's still there. I've tried closing all my applications and restarting and I also reset the PRAM. It won't go away. It's probably something simple, but I don't know how to get rid of it. Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks so much. I saw this on "desktop strangeness" immediately after I posted and tried to retract my question. It worked perfectly. I'm not sure how VoiceOver got turned on unless something happened when I was trying to wake up the computer. I open the lid and it flashes whatever is open and then the screen goes black and I can't wake it up. Still looking for the resolution to this.

The icons and boxes around the icons of web pages are not showing

Imagine when looking at the Mozilla "enter your username and password page" all you see is text but no boxes around the fields. Well...that is what I see. I see "Enter your username" but next to it is no boxes around the field to enter the username. I have to click around to see where I can type in the box.
Other pages like the Office 360 email page used to show little curved arrow buttons like "reply" and "reply all" and "Delete" with a red X but now just greyish looking pages. I tried resetting FF to default.

hello, the behaviour you have described might be the case when you have enabled a high contrast theme in your windows control panel - please switch to another theme...

Iphone 4 freezes on the unlock screen

iphone 4 freezes on the unlock screen, for a minute or two, with the arrow stuck all the way to the right. Then it reboots itself, and works. Then freezes again at next use. Help!

Why are there boxes around the text on my iPhone?

I have had this problem for a while now. Whenever I press either the home or sleep button and try to unlock it, there is a black box that appears around the time and date. When I swipe, a box forms around the text that says "swipe to unlock". Can anyone help me diagnose this problem please? I don't have any valuable information on the phone so I am open to resetting it if necessary.

It says in my email to use a sim from a iphone/ipad supplier.
Could I just put the giff gaff sim in for the unlock process?

Normally it's recommended to use a SIM from a supported carrier, but a GiffGaff SIM may work. They have some information here:

The yellow box around the pages when using Word Processing

I am somewhat new to the Mac, work with "Pages" to do newsletters. The first time I chose to use the Word Processing. Next I tried Pages layout.
It was when clicked on "View thumbnails" in Word Processing newsletter that I noticed the yellow box all around the pages. If I tried to delete a page, they all went. Luckily there is an "undo delete" button. (o:
I have since read the difference between layout and Word Processing from one of the posts. Is there any way to delete the yellow box?

There is one yellow box for each Section of the document. When you delete a Thumbnail, you delete the entire Section, however many pages are in that section. In Page Layout, each Page is a Section, so it may be deleted without affecting other pages.
To delete one page out of a Section in a Word Processing document, the easiest way is to highlight all its content and hit the Delete key.

Where are you seeing this? In the left hand pane like this?
That just indicates that I clicked on that theme. Can you post a screen shot of what you're seeing?

IPhone 4S flickering around the edges

My phone froze while I was looking something up, so I held down the power and home buttons to restart it. When it came back on, the screen was flickering just barely around the edges. Sometimes, you cant see the flickering but most of the time you can. This has happened to me twice before, but I fixed it just by simply restarting it again. For some reason, it didn't work this time! It has only been flickering for about 10 minutes, right now it is on the charger. Any ideas on how to fix this?

If you have intermittent flickering on your iPhone screen, I recommend backing up your data and restoring the iOS software:

After effects CS6 Yellow box around the edge? I think its effecting my keyframes.

I'm unsure where these yellow lines have come from/if they're related to my keyframes not working. Whenever I try simple opacity 0% - 100% in two keyframes it snaps straight to the 100% on the first one.
Please help someone, i'm sure its a simple solution !!

The yellow border around the Composition panel is telling you that you have your Show Channels menu set to something other that the default---specifically RGB Straight in your case.

Seems you have accidentally turned on VoiceOver. The process of turning it off is rather convoluted once it has been activated. Look in the Manual under Chapter 32: Accessability ....VoiceOver:
