IPhone 5 came with scratches, can I swap?

I received my iPhone on the 26th, but after I opened it and took off the plastic, I realized that there was a scratch on the back of the rim! I did some research on the Internet and found out that a lot of people had this problem and apple swaps iPhones that come with scratches. Is this true? I am very dissapointed that my iPhone 5 delivered this way. I like to keep my phone in top condition so seeing a scratch on my Phone before I even got to used it was not very satisfactory.

We're just users here, so for the real answer, make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your Apple Store. Show them your phone and if they replace phones for scratches, they'll handle it.

If I understand correctly some apps seem to minimize on their own as soon as you tap them. I would recommend starting by quitting all the running apps first:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

My iPhone 5 came with a ding & scratch out the box.

My iPhone 5 had a ding/chip at the top right corner and a scratch the the bottom right corner, right out the box. I put it in a case as soon as i got it. I didn't notice it until a day later when people asked me to see how it feels out of the case. There's been a lot of reports of this lately. I wonder if I can get a new one. I was never offered a apple + care plan. What you think

Anyone having issues with iphone 6 camera with purple colors and it freezing?

I'm not sure if this is iOS 8.0.2 related as I didn't take many pics with iOS 8 when I first got my iphone 6 activated this past Sunday, but my camera app has been acting up. Usually, when I move the camera around to take pics and it tries to focus, sometimes the screen will freeze or there will be a purple haze. It is worse in the slow-mo or video options. I've searched online and seen articles on chromatic aberration on previous iphones, but I think what I have is beyond that. I haven't seen people posting about my same issues, so I'm wondering if it's hardware related. Anyone else experience something like this? If I take it to the Apple Store, will they replace it? I haven't dropped my phone or anything- everything else seems fine, but it's been less than a week so far.

Many people found dust inside their cameras, luckily some found that problem during their warranty. I couldn't believe apple would deliver a product with so many problems to us, at least Jobs wouldn't.

During that one year period, I will assume the dust accumulated while being in your pocket.
I had a iphone since the 3GS and now a 5S and had a few dust in my camera lenses, but nothing that would impede me from taking good quality pictures.

IPhone 4's camera with blue tint issue

Hi, have anyone have this problem with iphone 4 camera with blue tint when you are take picture?

I went to the Genius Bar today. Results were mixed. They definitely noticed the bluish blob when I pointed it out. They were about to swap out my iPhone with a refurb. The Genius tested the new iPhone before he gave it to me -- and it was worse. The blue blob was much more pronounced. So he tried another iPhone. It had a greenish blob. He took the back off of it to see if there was a film on the lens cover, but it was clear. He brought in another Genius who had a 1st generation iPhone 4. Interestingly, the image from that camera was perfect. Yet another Genius was brought in. They ended up checking 10 iPhones. All but that first gen iPhone 4 had the problem to differing degrees. (Mine ironically was one of the better ones.) The third Genius said, "Oh well, I guess that's the way the camera is. Remember it's just a phone." I emphasized that it's a really expensive phone and that my first gen model didn't have this problem. His response: "You can probably correct the problem with image editing software." I replied that there shouldn't be a problem in the first place.
The upshot of all this is that they're ordering a replacement camera for my iPhone, which should be in next week. We'll see if that fixes the issue.

I have a macbook pro 2011 13" that came with OS Lion (integrated not on a disk). I recently bought OS Mountain Lion of the app store and it is working fine. However I was a bit dissapointed in the battery so I decided to try and downgrade and completely failed, I froze the computer and when I restarted it it did not work. I went into recovery system and erased my disk and all that and went to re-download my OS. I was expecting to get the option to re-download Lion but instead I could only re-download Mountain Lion.
My question is since my computer originally came with Lion can I reset my computer so I get OS Lion back instead of OS Mountain Lion?

Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
    1.    Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
    2.    After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    3.    Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
    4.    Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Thanks for the question. From your description, it sounds like various Account Settings have been greyed out in your Settings application (iCloud, Facebook, Twitter). The cause for these being greyed out is a restriction setup on your iPhone. You'll probably see that Restrictions are turned "On" in Settings > General.
You'll want to disable the restriction "Allow Changes: Accounts". For more information on restrictions, see this article:

Try cleaning out the phone's port, of pocket fluff and such. Carefully. And check the mains adapter similarly, but less likely.
