IPhone 5: Can I view text messages/phone calls that I missed when service was off?

Beause my service has been off, I've been unable to recieve text messages and phone calls, but I KNOW that people have been trying to get in contact with me. Is there any way to view the messages and missed phone calls that weren't able to come through when my service was off?

At&t said something like 3-5 days if I'm not mistaken...
Google Voice is more of an internet phone to put it simply. You get a free phone number that you can choose from any area code you want.
You can text/call right from your browser. Calls/SMS are free within the USA and Canada.
MMS is still in beta, and SMS to/from the UK is not officially supported yet, but it has been known to work.
I recommend GV to anyone as a secondary number for in-case issues with phone loss/not working properly.

i'm been using PC suite 6.85.14 from past 3 months.. everything works fine, recently new update to ver 6.86.9.0.
i start having problem reading & Send text message from PC suite. the rest just working fine. i can backup, view contacts, sync calendar & contacts.
i was thought it was because the new version might have some bug, i uninstalled this new version, cable driver, pc connectivity solution and install back ver 6.85.14.
same thing happen with error message "unable to read text message from phone", when i press new sms button, on top showing "Text message editor - no phone connected" but it is connected. i can do other things..
anyone know what is the problem??

Sorry no way to receive calls and SMS text message on both phones, you would need to have the same number.
You can have imessage go to both phones, by adding your apple id to imessage.
You can use photo stream to share pictures between both devices.

No, they can't be found online. If you created a backup either in iCloud or iTunes, restoring the backup will restore the messages that existed at the time of the backup.

My iphone 4s can't send text messages or receive calls

I've had my phone a few months now and I have had no issues. All of a suddent this morning I notice I can not receive calls or send out text messages. I'm told they either go straight to my voicemail or they get a message saying my service has been temporairly disconnected. I can make calls and I can receive texts. I can access the internet through my data. Has anyone had this issue? If so does anyone know of a fix? My carrier says the towers in my area are fine with no known issues.

You are not alone I could not only send messages but I could not even type in the box went in the setting and notice that iMessage was turned off and when I reactivated it my phone now making the most horrible sound when a message comes in or goes out and I cannot stop it. Also make sure that the Do Not Disturb option is on.

IPhone 6 can't forward text messages (iOS 8.1.1)

open meesage

enter the 7726 number for your network I.e 87726 for Vodafone UK or VSPAM
AT THIS POINT WRITE DOWN THE NUMBER THE TEXT CAME FROM, IT GETS OBSCURED IN THE NEXT PART
WIth Vspam in the TO; window press send
press the reply message at the top
enter the number in the message area and press send
yiu will get a recieved message
now delete the spam message
tip, if you send a few messages to Vspam or whatever your network code is you will get stacked replies, when you have finished simply delete the reply you can see in the list and will delete them all

Text Messages/Phone Calls on Mac

I've really liked the feature in Yosemite where you can send and receive text messages and phone calls from the Mac (I like using the large keyboard). Recently I had to change my Apple ID password and when I did that function seemed to disappear and I can't get it back. I've tried to set it up again and I get a message that the person I'm texting isn't signed into iMessage -- this was never an issue before, and I'm sure the people I texted were not signed into any special apps. I've checked to make sure I'm signed into iCloud and everything. I don't know what happened ... help???

Messaging was still working from iPhone. I'd checked to make sure I was signed in with new password on iPhone, at least I thought I did. For whatever reason, it seems to have magically fixed itself, however. Thanks for your help.

You can't hide it AFAIK on AppleTV - do it via iTunes.
In iTunes elect the store home page, and choose Purchases in teh QuickLinks on the right.
Choose TV Shows and hover over the one to hide and there should be a small x to hide it.
If you need it back go into your actual account settings in iTunes and choose to unhide there.

I'm in the middle of a text animation design treatment and unless my memory is completely failing I thought this was an option.
An example would be selecting all layers and being able to see all bounding boxes and animation paths while moving along the timeline.
Of course this could be quite a mess if you couldn't selectively chose which layers, its just with this current project it would be so helpful if
I could see the text beyond the canvas to aid in my animations.

I do understand shift + v " to "Show Full View Area" and shift + z to fill screen, etc.
and command + & - for zooming
what I'd like to do is selectively view, say, the text outside of the canvas as you can see the bounding box
which contains the text or object when selecting one or all layers in the layers column
I haven't used this feature in a while though I do recall using it in the past.
Any help would greatly appreciated

Did you possibly restore it from an old backup file?

IOS 7 downloaded fine but I can't back up restored. Tried 3 times. Tried turning off iCloud. Now I can only receive texts and phone messages. I cannot make calls, retrieve phone messages or send any texts. When I try I just get a blank screen. HELP

I initially tried to do this at 11:39pm last night. I cleaned up my apps, backed up to my computer and then took the plunge. It downloaded fine, everything went ok until I tried to restore backup. I received a message that there was an error in iTunes and iPhone could not be restored. I tried this three times giving up at 2:00 am. I tried again at 7:30am. No fix. Now I can open up phone and browse in safari. I can get notifications that a text was received or a phone message left but I can't receive or make phone calls, retrieve phone messages, or access any text features. Also I have NO purchased apps. I use my phone got work and this has ruined my day - please help!!

I would start with going to O2 with the phone and making sure it's set up properly - maybe the SIM they gave you isn't quite right or their network isn't acknowleding it like it should.
Seeing as you've tried restoring to factory settings and resetting network settings, I'm assuming you've tried restoring the phone as new, just to see if that helped at all. If that didn't help, you definitely need to get in touch with O2 and work things out with them.

The ability to see and send calendar invites is a function of the calendar you are subscribing to and who owns it. We need more information, like what calendar are you subscribing to? MS Exchange? Google? Mobile Me?

Just delete them. Or, do you mean beyond just deleting them? Then, you'd need to wipe the phone - select Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. That's a secure wipe of the iPhone contents, takes several hours (connect to AC power). You'll need to set your phone up from scratch (and erase the old backup(s) from your computer, since your SMS history is part of the backup).
