Iphone 5 cutting songs short

Why are certain songs cut off in middle of play back??
And how to repair them?
The same song on my iMac is perfect.

I appreciate your inputs but this isn't a simple issue fixed through the Apple "R's" and given the number of similar issues by other users, I do not think its hardware related. I love my iPhone (and all my other Apple products) and know that this issue has to be defined by someone and a patented fix available somewhere. Do Apple techs respond on this forum?

Cutting Songs Short

Does anyone else find that a good number of songs are getting cut short when played on your iPod? Sometimes my iPod goes to the next song with 30 seconds left in a track and sometimes it is only a few seconds. When I play the files in iTunes, everything works fine? Anyone else out there have this problem? Is there a fix?

I also have this problem. I have 3000 songs sync'd
to it and it seems like about 25% of them are short.
They are cut the same each time I play it. The same
song on itunes plays ok. They were apparently
corrupted when sync'd. After it happened I restored
the Ipod then updated to ver. 1.2.1. Then I
resync'd. Still bad. My next step is contacting
Apple. Will keep you posted.
Matt, my Apple tech had no answers. Suggested reset, restore, update, yada yada yada. I was wrong about the songs cutting the same each time. It just happened so I replayed the same song and it played all the way through. So the file seems to be ok. The shuffle mode may be the culprit. Will have to listen without shuffle for a while to see if it happens there.

Media Go Cutting songs short

I recently purchased an MP3 album. I purchased and downloaded it at work, and put it on my Sony walkman NWZ-E380 series. The files are fine, the songs are normal. I get home, and rty to transfer the album to the Medio Go library, but some songs are truncated. For example, a song that is 2:45, gets cut off at 2:08, and is listed at 2:08 in the library. So, I deleted it from the library, and instead of transferring it from the device to the library, re-downloaded it from the purchase site and put it in the directory of the library. It still does the same thing! When I initially transferred it, I went to the library to9 watch as the tracks were imported. Initially, the song was listed at the correct length, but as the track started to import, the time changed. I don't understand why the software would do this, and now I'm wondering how many of my other songs are like this. I know there are at least three or more from that particular album that are affected, I watched the times change before my eyes. Also, I updated the software, so that isn't the problem.

Has anyone else experienced the 5G iPod cutting songs off? Please help!

I have noticed that my 5G iPod will cut songs short sometimes. These are always the same songs, and they play perfectly fine on iTunes (and my other iPods). Any clue as to how to fix this? Thanks a lot!

I've noticed this once or twice, as well. I've found that plugging the ipod into my computer and playing the song via itunes usually fixes the problem.

Cuts songs off during playback

My 32 GB Ipod Touch seems to cut songs short during play back. It appears that it only happens to AAC format songs I have ripped from CD's.

In iTunes have you tried right clicking the song, then click Get Info. Go to the options tab and make sure "Stop Time" is not ticked?

Phone cuts some songs short by almost 30 seconds

This problem is driving me crazy and I can't seem to find a solution anywhere. For some select albums that I put on my phone it cuts the songs short by about 30 seconds each time. They are all ripped off CD's into apple lossless format, yet it only does it for some albums, not all. They play fine on my iMac and my iPod Classic but on the phone they are cut off. The weird thing is that the songs runtime that is shown when looking at the album track list is right but when you click to play it the runtime of the song is anywhere from 15-30 seconds shorter. I don't have iTunes Match, so that is not the problem at all.
Any ideas?

ITunes skips songs, when import to iPhone all songs are 2:34 length (they aren't)

So my iTunes and iPhone are completely FUBAR and I can't find any solution.
I have an iPhone 4s on version 7.0.4. I am currently using iTunes 11.2.1. Late 2011 Macbook Pro running 10.8.5, whichever cat that is.
Starting in December 2013, most new songs I import into iTunes will skip at random points in the song to the end of the song. There was no pattern as far as I could tell, though it didn't seem to be happening with music bought from iTunes. Music from CDs, bandcamp, etc. was the problem. For example, a song with a length of 5:55 would randomly skip to the end at 3:46. But, if I manually skipped to any point after 3:46 it would play the normally skipped part fine.This was not a huge problem as I could then import the songs to my iPhone and listen on there with no skipping.
In the past few weeks though, now every song I import to my iPhone cuts off at 2:34. Every single song. They skip in iTunes at a random point, then I import them to my phone where they skip at 2:34 (and are labelled as only 2:34 long), and then after being imported to my iPhone they skip at 2:34 in iTunes as well.
Last night, for absolutely no reason, about 80% of my music disappeared from my phone. It's still there, but can't be played for some reason. So I tryed syncing to my computer, but lo and behold, every song on my iPhone is now 2:34.
Please help, I'm very close to burning all of my devices in a fire and starting over.

I also have this problem, but on my 64-bit Windows 7 desktop. My income level no longer permits me to purchase Apple computers. Anything that I've bought off of the iTunes store, most of it's ten to six years old, will not play any further than 2:34. I just knew when I agreed to this "protected music" business I'd find myself a decade down the line staring at an expensive but unplayable music collection.

IPod cuts song before the end then skips to the song

Over the last few months my 2nd generation iPod (bought March 2006) has started cut songs/tracks before the end, usually with about a minute or so to run, then skips to the next track. However this fault is intermittent and appears to be random as there is no pattern to it, eg. every 2nd or 3rd track.

In iTunes, there is a feature which allows you to trim your songs. This feature simply sets a different start and finish time on the song. If you sync the song to your ipod, then it will appear to you that the song has been cut.

Sync it the same way you got it on the device to begin with.

i plug my iphone into my laptop, change the info on my iphone's songs using itunes but when i check my iphone the songs remain unchanged

Download itunes to your laptop or pc. Connect your phone and sync. Click on music and edit songs, albums, photos and so on. Sync your pnohe again. All done.

Not quite. Mine simply stopped working. Some swapping around of the cable, charger, and device finally fingered the cable as bad. Went to the apple store and they said it's probably shorted, and that this happens. My phone's just over a year old so they wouldn't replace it. IMO a passive device like this shouldn't fail unless physically abused. Whether it's a poor design or poor manufacturing quality, I'm disappointed.

IPhone 4S cutting voicemails short from callers

Recently when a caller calls me and reaches my voicemail, my iPhone has been cutting their message short (to anywhere from 5-10 seconds from start to finish). This is a recent development in the past 2 days (well past the last time I updated it).
I have attempted a soft and a hard reset, as well as calling voicemail rather than using visual voicemail, with no result. Trying to avoid restoring it to factory settings, but I will if I need to. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Songs cutting off short

I have noticed others are getting the same issue, I have downloaded itunes to my new laptop and have re-purchased ll of my old songs and bought some new ones, but I have noticed that some of the songs are cutting off 40sec to 2mins before the song is ended and then jumping to the next song on the plylist. there is not error code and i cnnot find a reason for this, is anyone closer to getting an answer? also where do you officially repost these faults too as I cant seem to find any UK help lines or email addresses?
