IPhone 5 Distorted Video Recording and Screen Flicker

Love most of the new iPhone 5 features and the speed on LTE service is amazing. However, my brand new iPhone 5 64GB seems to be having some issues. Two main issues.
One is an occasional screen flicker consisting of 3 to 5 horizontal black or dark colored lines. This is located at a point approximately 1/3 of the screen up from the bottom and running from the left edge of the screen to approximately the center of the screen. The flickering lines are brief and occassional, but deffinately a concern.
The other main issue is with video recording. I've attended a couple of concerts/shows in the last week. I used my iPhone 5 to capture a few video clips to share w/ friends etc. The recorded videos have brief moments of light to moderate, easily visible video distortion. There's a horizontal distorted digital shaking running the full video width, approximately 1/4-1/3 of the screem and mostly in the center of the video image. It's not related to playback on the sceen itself, but it is the quality of the video recorded. I downloaded the videos to my computer and they play with the same video distortion as they do on the phone. I had previously been impressed with the video qaulity on my 4S. Perhaps issues with over active "improved video stabilization"? Aside from those things all else seems to be good minus some occassional delayed touch responses and seemingly delayed photo opening to view from text messaging.
Hardware? Software? Bottome line, are these issues that may be resolved in a future Apple iPhone 5 / iOS 6 update or must I get back in line and try to get a new replacemnt phone?

This is not an answer, this is just an additional voice to prove and to make it apperant to Apple that they have to do something about all the problems with the iPhone5. I have as TS encounterd the camera/video destortion apart from my bad reception and battery drain problems.
I bought a 32GB black iPhone5, have already changed it once, because of the battery drain, from 100% to 70% during a night, in stand-by mode(no usage).
This second one, still doesent live up to my excpectations, batterywise my 3,5 years old iPhone 3GS is at pair with my brand new iPhone5, video distortion when recording.
I am going to change it today!! third time's a charm... Lets hope so...

So i understand iPhone does not have MMS, Bluetooth for listing to music or video camera.
If Apple chose so could the iPhone support these features?
I'm not jailbreaking mine, just wanted to know could these be added in a future Software update? Or is is a hardware for somthing like bluetooth and Video recording?

mms well lets just say it already possible along with video recoding with amazing apps that are easy to use and have good quality results but its up to apple and sadly they say no

IChat Error (Video, Audio, and Screen Sharing)

I received a Black Macbook for Christmas, and have not had any problems with it until today. Yesterday I installed 2GB of Kingston RAM that I ordered online from Newegg, and today I cannot do anything in iChat besides chat. Whenever I attempt to start an audio chat, video chat, or screen sharing, I recieve an error.
"There was a communication error during your chat."
"______ cancelled the connection. You can send details about this problem to Apple to help improve future versions of iChat"
I've tried it with 3 different people and it gives me the same error.
Last week I was video chatting and screen sharing fine with the same people.
I don't see how it would affect it but is there any chance it was caused by the RAM? Other than that I have had no problems at all. :\

If anyone else has this problem, it might be caused by internet sharing. I had internet sharing setup with my 360, as soon as I cut that off it worked fine.

Video recording with screen off

Is there a way or an app to record video on the iPhone 4 where you can start it recording and then turn the display off to save the battery?

There are lots of dashcam apps available now. If you want to record the whole ride rather than the last few minutes, just set the record time to the max your phone memory can stand. I use ISMDVR in my car, it has a car mode screen which is mainly black but does give a speed reading and some other info. I tried one or two apps but settled on that one.

Iphone shutdown during video recording

Hi folks! i've got several times a very strange problem during video recording. my iphone 4s (but it happened also to my brother iphone) shutting down during video recording giving the message about low battery.
to restart the iphone i need to connect to the battery charger but after the boot the battery is not drained. Today for example happened and the battery after the boot while connected to the battery charger was 53%.
As it happens also to by brother iphone 4s i don't think that it's an hardware problem, and the funny thing is that it happens in a random way. Some tims i'm able to register 1h of video without problems, other times 3m/5m and the iphone shutdown.

This is happening with my Iphone 5 with latest iOS. I'll record video and it will rapidly discharge battery. If it shuts down and I plug it in two minutes later it will come back with over 50% battery.
I've drained it completely dead then charged it for at least 4 hours numerous times. I started a seperate discussion about this and my phone's horrible battery life in general.

4k video recording and microSD card speed

Hello, I am currently trying to find what microSD card type Xperia Z2 needs to shoot 4k videos smoothly. Is UHS Speed Class 1 (U1) card with about 30 MB/s writing speed enough to shoot 4k videos with no problems at all? I am just asking if Sandisk Ultra series are enough and should I bother with Sandisk Extreme for example with 45 MB/s writing speed or with Xperia Z2 4k video recording I won't see any difference?

Video Chat and Screen Share Crash after a few seconds

I currently have a Mac Pro and an 802.11N airport extreme. I can do a speedtest and get downloads of 14mbps supposedly.
Whenever I start a video chat or screen share with someone (I just installed leopard tonight) It starts up and then after a few moments crashes and it wants me to send the error report to apple.
What could be the issue? Is it a firewall thing? Hardware glitch?
I have no idea, but would LOVE To get this fixed.

I have the exact same issue. Apple has already replaced the Airport Extreme but that did not help. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

My iphone 4 keeps on vibrating and screen was blank too!

I bought the iPhone 4 in August 2011. In Sep 2011 , i first faced this issue.
Issue: iPhone was on silent mode. Suddenly it started vibrating continously with blank screen, may be some call was coming that's why it started vibrating but not sure. I panicked and didn't knew what was happening, i consulted few forums and came to know that its a known issue but Apple has not done anything in this regard, Don't know why?
Solution: Reboot the iPhone. I did that and then it got stucked at apple logo screen for several minutes and then after rebooting it several times, I got lucky and it started and first thing device did was to search for network.
Then till today morning everything was fine. Today this issue again came to haunt me but I was prepared because of past experience and I again follow the same to resolve it.
At first, I thought it was a one-off issue but second occurence of the same means something is not right with the device.
Can someone from Apple reply on this post to tell what needs to be done.
Should I take the device back to Apple Store? or Apple is coming up with some fix for this issue?
Any help is much appreciated because I don't wish to face the same issue again.

My iPhone 4 just died! I felt it vibrating in my pocket and when I grabbed the phone to answer what I thought to be a phone call the screen was blank. I found out my buddy had called me at that moment, he was outside my house, as I was opening my garage door I had the phone in my pocket and he had his phone to his ear. He did not realize I knew he was outside, this proves that there was a phone call being made at the time this happened. I figured the phone just glitched out because I hit the F/U button on the top really quick because I knew the conversation I was about to have would be pointless. The phone vibrated for 3-5 minutes before stopping, during the time which the phone was completely blank. The phone was lifeless and would not take charge (the battery was at 50% at time this happened). After letting it sit to see if it would turn back on I decided to plug it in to the computer to see if it would trigger a start up, nothing happened. Strangest thing about the whole situation is that when my friend called my phone after the whole vibrating and dying, it still rang like it was on, not my iPhone, what he heard on his phone. So on his end, he could hear a ringing tone when calling my phone, I had nothing on my end. I will be contacting Apple tomorrow about the issue. I am sure they will have nothing but insulting advice... "have you tried turning it on?", "have you tried plugging it in?", "did you drop it in water?". This phone has NEVER been dropped in water and has NEVER worn a cover, my phone is in great condition and would have had no prior reason for failure. I did however have the memory close to full, I was about to transfer all of my photos to my computer, which im sure the past 8 months of family photos are now history. This is a BIG F/UP Apple, this is by far the worst experience I have had with a phone, dropped calls, never any signal (ATT in CHICAGO!), and my home button was extremely tempermental. I am so dissapointed in this $500 purchase I am ready to throw all my Apple gear out of the window. If an issue like this is not responded to I will NEVER buy an Apple product again. I will know more as this transpires, whether or not you can still extract all of your data (documents, photos, contacts) or what Apple is prepared to do about this growing issue.

Touch focusing during 4K and all Video Recording options. The autofocus feature tends to focus all the time if something moves in the frame.
Option to record 4K @ 24 FPS Format. That will help people like us to use the phone in film productions that also helps in promotions of the phone.
Make little changes in the algorithm to make the videos lot sharper, sometimes 4K and other video formats looks over processed.
Really happy with the Xperia Z2 and the feautures that having

FCP7-White video thumbnails and screen in the viewer window

Just opened one of my FCP7 project files on my brand new iMac/Lion for the first time.
Thumbnails and video in view screen are white, and no video timeline doesnt play.
When attempting to render the 30 minute sequence, it gives me a general error and it will not render.

It means you don't have the codec installed to playback the video format that you are trying to work with.

Iphone 5c ios8 home lock and screen 30%

Hi can someone help me please my home lock and screen takes 30%+ of my battery even when im not using the phone.
my phone dies every hour or so and i cant use when i dont have a charging station near by and its really annoying and sometimes my phone will die when i still have 15% battery left i already tried to change my battery and nothing changed.

Yes, as rbrylawski stated, the toilet/water has finally finished off your phone. While it may have survived for a while, corrosion has done its evil job and killed your device. If you have Apple Care Plus, then you can get an out of warranty replacement for just the deductible. If not, then an out of warranty replacement will be a little more.
