IPhone 5 doesn't want to turn on...out of ideas and solutions

Last week I restored my iphone 5 and I also updated it, it worked normally but the only problem was that battery was dying pretty fast. After charging it I turned it off and after a day when I tried to turn it on again it just didn't want to do that. I thought that battery died, I tried to charge it but there was no signs of charging, I tried turning it on, even pressed home button and power button but nothing was appearing, it was completely dead. Earlier I took it to this store and tried to change the charger and also to check if it was the battery but even after that phone stayed dead. I don't know what could be the problem. I tried everything. I can't turn it on, power-home button is not working obviously, when I try to connect it to itunes it doesn't recognize it at all (like it is not even connected), I tried changing usb and battery and still nothing. Any ideas?

Hey luyo5,
Here is an article that will help you address this issue:
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • MacBook doesn't want to turn off or logout...

I have had my macbook for a few months now (since August) and every since I've updated to Leopard my macbook sometimes doesn't want to turn off or logout. When this happens a message pops up telling me that the finder was not able to close and that I should try force quitting it. But when I force quit it nothing really happens. The bar on top of the screen and icons on the desk top go away and never reappear and when I try the power button nothing happens and I am forced to unplug and take out the battery. If anyone could help me with this issue between now and tomorrow, I would be highly appreciative.

    Hi naroke!
When there are Finder related issues, often times the best (and easiest) fix is to re-install the operating system from the OS X 10.5 discs. You can try a few things before going to that point, though, so try these and it might fix the issue.
    1. Reset PRAM (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2238)
    2. Disk Utility / Repair Disk (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25751 / http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=DiskUtility/10.5/en/duh17.html)
The next option, might make sense to do an archive & install of the operating system.

  • My Nokia N8, doesn't want to turn on bluetooth

Hey My N8 doesn't want to Turn On bluetooth, i bought it on mid-June, and it was working well but suddenly, didn't want to turn on Bluetooth i always have to Restart it, because when i go to Settings>Conectivity>Bluetooth then i select Turn on Bluetooth it freezes then i have to turn it off and on again then it will be able to Turn On Bluetooth, anyone please help please. Thanks in advance

It might be worth removing battery for 10 minutes and then replacing. Unfortunately with S40 devices there is not the scope for carrying out a "hard reset" as with S60 devices so your options are very limited here, as too old a device to allow you to re-install firmware with Nokia Software Updater.

my phone doesn't want to turn off or on, it gives me the apple logo and doesn't turn on at all, help please??

Do a reset by holding the power and home button until the apple logo appears ignoring the slide to power off (no data loss).

  • My Macbook doesn't want 2 turn on anymore

2 months ago I bought a brand new macbook pro. Last saturday I turned my macbook on and typed my password and suddenly it turns off. So I thought that maybe it was the battery, but when i put the charger in my macbook, the light on the charger started 2 flash orange and green.
I thought I will let it charge for over an hour, but my macbook still doesn't want to turn on.
Someone know whats wrong? Or dit someone ever had this problem too?

Never heard of the plug-light flashing orange and green, but it sounds like an overheat and a fried battery to me. If it won't turn on then you will need to have it looked at by an Apple Tech regardless. Sorry for your inconvenience.

  • HP 110-210 Doesn't Want to Turn On!

Hello internet, My first post on here so bare with me but I'll try my best to be as detaield as possible. I've had my HP 110-210 Desktop for about 2 years now, and I've had no issues with it up until this past week. I was using the system doing regular minimum tasks, browsing the web, social media, etc. Everything was working just fine. Half an hour into my session I plugged in my phone on the USB port to charge while I move some music files. I accidentally knocked my phone off my desk and had to step back from the computer to pick it up, and as I was doing that, my computer just...turned off. It wasn't like a normal powerdown, it was more like someone unplugged the power cable from the back of the system and it abruptly shut off. I tried to power it back on shortly after, but nothing happened. I went to the back of the system and double checked that the power chord was firmly plugged into the computer and wall, and it checked out fine. I also checked all the other cables running to and from the system and made sure those were also plugged in correctly, and everything checked out fine. But the system didn't want to power back up at all. I decided to unplug everything and move it onto my table to take a closer look. I popped open the side lid and looked over everything, there was no sign of damage as far as I could see. No smoke, no black spots, no smell of burning , nothing at all. I plugged the power back in and the little green light on the motherboard turned on. I looked online and someone said that if you re-seat the RAM everything should work, I tried that, and no dice. I didn't want to do any more fiddling with it until maybe someone can help me understand the situation a little better. If anyone has anything to shed some light on my situation please don't hesitate to respond. I've contacted HP support, and they ran me through some troubleshoot procedures and nothing worked either, so they wanted me to send it in, I'm not covered under warranty and the repairs can run me up to $300 bucks, 3/4 of the price I paid originally to get the **bleep** thing. Anything could help, if you want pictures etc, let me know I'd be happy to provide as much information as possible to help me get this thing fixed.

hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
if that doesn't work take it to the apple store and bring some money with you an out of warranty iphone 5 is $269 U.S I believe.
