Iphone 5 earpiece has low, tinny sound now

Phone is nearly 2 years old. just updated to iOS 8.0.2 and now the earpiece volume is very low and "tinny" sounding. Cannot figure any way that I can fix easily...

Hey partick, Did you get it sorted out in the end, Im also from the UK and the one plan beats the other networks hands down however im also getting this audio static sound during a call. I have had the phone replaced 3 times and all do it until i changed to 02 and then it stopped. So its the three network thats causing the interference.
Does anyone know of any workarounds as this is the only issue from a near perfect phone

My iPhone 4 has been giving me problems via the earpiece it seems. When I make calls, it starts crackling until I hit the earpiece area till the sound is gone. But when its clear, I can hear the person over the phone but the person can't hear me. I have to hit it a few more times on the earpiece to actually get them to hear me. My mic works fine as sending voice messages are no problems. I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

Mt iphone 4s has lost the sound

the sound on my iphone 4s has gone off it works when the headphones are in but goes off as soon as i take the headphones out

I would suggest cleaning out your headphone jack. Some have tried a q-tip and found success. You will most likely have to take some cotten off in order for it to fit.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iphone 3gs, has ceased all sounds help

About 2 weeks ago my iphone decided to stop playing all sounds, i discovered this when i set my alarm for the morning and noticed when i locked the screen it didnt click. Since then any sounds used via the external speakers fail to play. I have no hiss to even make me think there is sound playing. All Apps, Alarms, tones, phone calls, text msgs, Speaker phone fail to play any sound at all. But if i plug in my headset then the sounds can be clearly heard.
Before you advise me to check the mute button, i have i check the mute button all the time its in the sound position and guess what "no sound".
Its almost like my phone has taken on a hearing impairment.
I have tried all the online suggestions, from inserting headphone jacks in and out 20 times to sucking on the jack. Master resets, and seeing the apple people who low behold took couple of minutes to play with the phone without opening it up and saying its a hardware issue.
Come on guys this is isnt stupidville and the consumer market wasnt born yesterday.
So who's got some answers out their for me?
Is it fixable? What causes the phone to do this?
If i had an explaination as to why it occured so it can be shared amongst others then that would let me leave with my hearing impaired iphone. But being moranic enough to switching the mute button on, come on "hello, McFly"
So Apple support, there must be an answer somewhere a large corporation that thrives on being its best, running the market with handheld devices.

We're users on this forum, just like you. We're not Apple support.
As far as your problem is concerned, have you done the steps recommended in the user guide: restart? reset? restore?
If you've done that and you still have the problem, bring the phone into Apple for evaluation. If there's a problem with the phone, it will be replaced.

Iphone 4 has no alert sound

Help? My iPhone 4 SUDDENLY has no sound I can go into settings & choose sounds...the preview sounds work. When I get an incoming call or text, there's NO SOUND! I have sound if I play a video on youtube, play a game, etc. there are just no alert sounds. I'm EXTREMELY frustrated & this was just a sudden, random problem...I didn't update anything.I made NO CHANGES whatsoever...just STOPPED! HELP PLEASE???

If you are having issues with sound on your iPhone, check out the Acoustic-speaker/microphone/receiver and go over the troubleshooting for the speaker and receiver to isolate and resolve it. My phone is not even a year old. One day it worked, and the next day I could not hear the alarm. I updated the night before. It does not ring, Siri does not talk, there is no music, or speaker, alarm, or sound for games. I took it into AT&T and they said it was time for a new phone. I paid a lot of money for this phone a year ago and it should still work. It makes and receives calls, plays the games and Siri seems to still work, but I have no sound!

The battery could have died...
Plug it in to the Wall Charger for 20 to 30 Minutes, then unplug it and try this...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
Turn the Phone On...
If still no joy, it may need a New Battery, or it could be time to consider a New Phone...
If nothing works, take it to your nearest Apple Store and they will check it for you...

My iPhones earpiece has stopped working, How do i fix it?

Unfortunately my phone is now out of warranty, but i had the same issue about a month ago and sent the phone off to apple for repair. They promptly sent the phone back working and said that there was nothing wrong with it. So question is how do i fix it ?
Ive tried restoring it and resseting it and the ear piece still wont work.

My iPhone still has low storage capacity inspite of getting iTunes Match -

I recently got iTunes match - hoping to get more storage space in my iPhone . My IPhone still shows 6.3 GB of stored music with still minimal capacity for further storage(550 MB)
Was I wrong in presuming I would get more storage capacity by putting my music on iTunes Match.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Even though you have iTunes Match, you will still need to delete music from the phone to create more space, although iTunes Match will automatically delete your least played music automatically when more space is needed on the phone.

The error on the Mac is odd though. 2100 is not in the article. What version of the Mac Operating system are you running?

How do I fix my phone

Try a reset by pressing and holding the home and power buttons until the white Apple logo appears, this should turn the screen back on.
If not, try a restore via iTunes.
If neither of those works, take the device to Apple for evaluation.

Will the Apple Store give me a replacement iPhone 6 the one i have now has a clicking noise when you press on the screen. I have only had it for about 8 weeks is it a manufacterin fault or what.
