IPhone 5 ended up in washer

ive had my iPhone 5 for almost two months and this morning inn ended up in the washing machine for about 2 mins( i was able to turn it off and get it out)
now it wont turn on or do anything. is there anything i can do to get it to work again? or could i get a replacment and if so how much would it set me back?

If you dropped it into water and it was submersed, even for a few seconds:
IMMEDIATELY
Turn it off, remove the sim card.
Put it in a bowl or box of uncooked rice.
Leave it there a few days (3 days is optimal).
Your warranty is voided by exposure to water. There are two sensors in the iPhone which are white, and turn red or pink when touched by water.
Water exposure can damage the device beyond repair, but I would try this anyway.

Syncing photos from pc to iphone - end up in wrong folders

Every single time i try syncing photos from my computer to my iphone 4s they either end up being multiple and/or theyre in the wrong folders.
And yes, Ive tried deleting the "iPod Photo Cache" thing and re-sync, but it doesnt help at all. They remain in the wrong folders. I seriously dont know what to do, Ive had this problem for too long, and its starting to bother me even more when I get more and more photos.

Why does my 'Artists' list in iTunes (iPad and iPhone) end at 'T'?

I've completed the transition to iTunes in the cloud (iTunes Match) and my 17,000+ songs are playing just fine from all of my devices.
However, on both my iPad and iPhone when I click the 'Artists' tab I only see artists through about the mid Ts. I can't see artists like U2, The Who or Zwan. The songs from those bands show up when I click the 'Songs' tab and search, but I can't see the bands in the Artists tab.
Is there a limit to the number of artists that the iPhone and iPad can display? I think I have around 2,000 in my iTunes collection.
I also noticed this morning that when I scroll through my artists list on my iPhone, the gray bar at the top of the list indicates that I'm in 'Z' or 'W' or '123', but only artists through Tom Petty are showing up.
Any thoughts?

Yes, it did seem to fix my problem. It was probably a combination of waiting long enough for my mobile devices to clear the iTunes Match data and also long enough for iTunes Match itself to catch up with all of the meta data changes that I had made in my main media library.
I think I ended up leaving iTunes Match turned off on my mobile devices for 24+ hours and after doing a re-start everything was fine.

Software update for iPhone-- Ended up deleting iTunes

Hey all,
I clicked the iPhone software update icon and boom!! I ended up deleting iTunes as my phone would not restore and some of the support pages on Apple's website told me if nothing else works "Uninstall and then re-install iTunes". That's what I did.
The problem is that i have the iTunesSetup.exe file but everytime I press"Run" it just doesn't do anything.. Please let me know if anyone can help. I ended up deleting my anti-virus software as well. iTunes still does not work. I have a Windows Vista Home premium SP2 32 bit.

Sorry, but that's incorrect. The iPhone 3G can accept up to iOS 4.2.1.

Getting that version, though, requires iTunes 10 which will only on Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6. so Alan will need to upgrade his Mac's operating system.

IPhone went through the washer and is 90% ok

My Verizon iPhone spent an entire cycle in the washer. It is now completely fine, other than the fact the the HOME button doest not work. All other buttons are fine, it charges fine and the screen is unblemished. What are my options?? I live in a very rural are and do not have easy access to any Apple stores or authorized retailers.

It will be worth the trip, as it probably won't get better. It will just get worse as other bits corrode on the inside! Even if the trip is a bit long do it.

I cann't save new keywords and my old keywords are lost in my iPad and iPhone.

I've never tried it, but look in your system preferences > Lanquage & Text > Text.
Looks like you can add them there by clicking on the plus symbol.
I just tested it; they work. But you may have to hit the space or return key after you type your shortcut.
(Did this on a Mac running 10.6.8, but I imagine Lion is very similar).

I'm sorry to hear that. If the display isn't working you can take the phone somewhere to see if they can fix the display.
I would honestly take it to Apple and get it swapped out for a new iPhone. It will cost you money because liquid damage is accidental so it wouldn't be a free switch out they would charge you for an out of warranty price. That is the best way. The only reason they switch out the iPhone is because liquid damage in unpredictable of what it damaged.

Ever since i updated my iphone and it ended up in recovery mode, my itunes wont detect any of my devices.. When i plug it in the computer instead of making that two toned noise it makes a weird one toned noise twice as if there's something wrong..

A while back when i was updating my iphone 5 itunes said an error had occured and my iphone ended up in recovery mode.. i brought it to the apple store they fixed it and i lost everything. supposedly the only things that were backed up on my icloud were 22 contacts from my previous iphone.. But i was still greatful i left with a working phone, however when i went home and plugged it in the computer itunes detected that i had a new phone and asked me if i'd like to back up my phone, surely i clicked yes and in a few minutes EVERYTHING came back! now a day later im here trying to connect my ipod and iphone to itunes and it will not detect anything. I uninstalled and reinstalled it back... still itunes is not responding im going on a road trip!! i need new music on my devices!! Someone help pleaasseee!!

Massive IMAP problem, multiple iPhones - constant spinning wheel

A friend has had problems using email on his iPhone since he got it, and now after a couple of months of no problems, mine has started doing the same thing.
The problem started for him on a UK 1.1.2 firmware iPhone with an IMAP account. If you start from scratch, manually setup an IMAP account, it will connect and get your messages. However later, you will find that the iPhone email program is constantly showing the spinning wheel at the top of the screen (showing activity), not the symbol at the bottom of the screen. Worse, the battery rapidly runs down (because it is doing constant data transfers), and worse new emails do not reliably get through. This happens whether you are using GPRS, EDGE, or WiFi (does not make a difference). This problem still happens with 1.1.3 firmware. There is so much data transfer happening (or trying to happen) that the phone actually gets quite warm.
This week after a couple of months of owning my own iPhone with 1.1.3 firmware has also started doing the same thing. My main IMAP account is on a totally different server, running a different server application to my friends. However it also seems to happen with GMail accounts (using IMAP).
I am currently at home and I can see my WiFi (AirPort Extreme) base-station showing lots of activity and I know that no other WiFi devices are active so it is purely the iPhone. Turning off the email account stops the problem (and I can then see the WiFi activity stop as well) but that is hardly a solution. Also setting it to manual polling for email helps but again is not a proper solution. It is so bad that sending emails is very difficult as well.
Even though at the iPhone end nothing seems to be coming through, one can see the iPhone as a connected user at the server end (I have access to the servers, obviously not for Gmail though).
My friend has swapped his phone four times at the Apple Store and still has the problem, and as I said mine has started as well. Turning off and on does not help, resetting network settings does not help.
Apple Mail on a Mac (running both Leopard and Tiger), and other IMAP clients have no problems with the same IMAP accounts (for both of us).
Other Internet access like Web, Stock Widget, Weather Widget, even the iTunes WiFi store work fine. It is just email that is broken.

More recent testing by myself reveals it is getting stuck on some messages when doing the 'message peek' to get the summary of an email. It gets the subjects fine (as the first pass) but then gets stuck on some emails when doing the second pass to get the summary. The above shows two repetitions but it keeps on (and on, and on). Other occasions show this does work for other messages. If I deliberately arrange to get the iPhone to connect to get the latest messages I can see it get stuck on a particular message, and then even if I turn it off and back on and reconnect it will get stuck on the same message. If repeated on a later date then the contents of the inbox will have changed and the message it gets stuck on will be different.
As it seems to be linked to specific messages it was not a surprise that when this is tried on a practically empty email account the problem does not occur.
This has happened with multiple different makes of mail server (well at least two), multiple email accounts, multiple users, and multiple different iPhones (one person had his swapped four times). It does not happen with 'ordinary' IMAP client software, only with the iPhone.
Even if one for arguments sake assumes the mail server is at fault and is sending the iPhone garbage, the iPhone should only try a single specific email a maximum number of times (for example five), and then give up. This would prevent it draining the battery so fast and trying to cook itself (by constantly running its transmitter).

What should I do when iPhone says "iPhone Is Disabled"?

I'm using an iphone 4s with a latest update (ios7). I tottaly forgotten the pasccode. I couldn't recall the password even after a day of thinking. My iphone ended up showing " iPhone is disabled" after several times of entering the wrong password. The iOS7 doesn't show the time remaining for the next passcode attempt. It took me approximately 1 minute to retry my next attempt. The second,third,.....time was about 10, 30minutes and so on. I think i've reached the maximum number of attemps. It has been 6 hours now and it still shows "iPhone is disabled". After trying my last attempt ( i guess it's the last attempt), I found a few video tutorials ( ios7 new bug) that show me how to access photo album even without entering the passcode. I saved a picture of my phone's password in my photo album the night after changing it. Are there any ways that could help me to remove "iphone is disabled" so that my phone will be back to normal and I can access my photo album using the new trick that i found on youtube?? I read several sources saying that when i connect my phone to itunes ( computer that I've synced before ), i'll be able to re-enter my password. I just want to remove the "iphone is diabled" icon from my iphone so that it'll show "slide to unlock" and i'll use the trick to access my photo album. If that's not possible, how do I restore my phone without losing all the data.

So my mom knocked her iPhone 4 into the washer a while back and I was on her Verizon plan and switched to my boyfriends straight talk plan and got a Samsung Centra. So I called the Apple store and they said it'd only be $149 to fix it. And all I would do is bring it in and pay my money and they'd give me a brand new one. What service would it be hooked up to? Or would it be hooked up to one? And Would I need to buy a straight talk card and then set it up to his credit card or do i just call and set it up to his credit card and take money out or what?

Under the out of warranty replacement program, you get an iPhone identical to the one you are replacing...same color, same storage capacity, locked to the same carrier if it is carrier specific. You will have to activate it for use with Verizon just like it was done with the old iPhone.
