Iphone 5 facetime front camera

Hello good day. Am I the only one experiencing the dark side of the front cam during facetime?
I tested facetime on both iphone 4 and iphone 5 but it seems that my iphone 5 is very dark if it is agains the light while the iphone 4 gives its best shot to see the person on the screen. It adjusts the camera itself to make the person see unlike on the iphone 5. Thanks for your help.

While making a call on facetime, the front cam is dark when against the light unlike the iphone 4's front cam where you can still see the caller from the screen and not dark.

My iPhone 6 Plus front camera is having problems. Sometimes it doesn't work at all and the camera app freezes. Sometimes it works fine for a little while and sometimes it shows multi color static or lines.
I've tried:
Restoring from phone (without restoring backup)
Restoring from iTunes (without restoring backup)
Deleting ispw and re-downloading iOS 8.1.1 then restore
The phone is less than 2 months old. I noticed it acting weird a week or so after I bought it but thought it was just software. At first it wouldn't work when using the camera app but worked fine using facetime. Now it acts up regardless.
Any advice or opinions will be much appreciated.

So, that makes my iPhone 6 Plus, my girls iPhone 6 and my fathers iPhone 5S not flashing LED on messages and sometimes calls. There aren't any custom vibrations enabled on any if the devices. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it a known bug or am I just not doing something right here? i never had an issue before the iOS 8 release. Any help would be appreciated.

IPhone 4s having front camera issues with iOS 7.1.2 are there any fixes?

i started having some problems with the front facing camera as soon as i upgraded from iOS 7.1.1 to 7.1.2 the camera just freezes or turns black and i have to restart the phone in order to get it back working (at least the rear camera works when i do this) but as soon as i try and use the front camera it freezes again, is there any way to fix this?

To rule out a software issue, set it up as new device without using the latest backup. If the camera works after that, restore from the backup.
If it does not work, your phone might have a hardware problem and needs to be serviced:

The front-facing camera is available for use even without FaceTime. If you are having issues with your front-facing camera, I suggest troubleshooting the issue:
Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6 older, hold down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)

When you did the restore, did you restore from a backup or restore as new? The final step of user troubleshooting is to restore as a new device, not from a backup. If you restore as a new device and the camera still does not function, it is probably a hardware issue. Make an appointment at the Apple Store Genius Bar and have the device checked by a Genius.

Double tap Home button and delete Camera app from multitask-list.
Do a
Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data

Yesterday I have bought an used iPhone 4, so I don't have any guarantee. But the front camera doesn't work, the virtual cover doesn't open. I have read that it is something like a hardware fault. Now my question is, if Apple has to repair it because of the hardware fault?

i use to work as an technician engineer in a phone shop still have access to warehouse with replacement parts.

I have a new question: I've now transferred my back up datas to my new iphone. They wanted me to register, so I registered (as my old apple ID) and then they asked if I want to restore backup, I did that too. after the restore back up process, the only things that aren't there were my music and apps! what should I do to get them into my new iPhone?

So my iphone 5 was having very bad battery problems and apple said they charged $80 to which i was astonished by because my warrenty ended 2 weeks eailer. I thought maybe they would be generous and help me out but no so i took it upon myself to get a new battery and install it myself. I did that and it turns out i need a new front camera flex ribbon so i also bought that and installed it myself. Whe i was donre installing it my phone flashed the apple logo and went black front there. I tried connecting to itunes and it gives me error 4014. Will apple still fix my phone even though i opened it?(Im not under the warrenty anymore).

It is unfortunate that you chose to open the device. Apple will not touch it now. Out of Warranty replacement is no longer an option.
Buy a new device.
