IPhone 5 flashing screen

iPhone 5 flashing screen between Apple logo and other colours. Any advice to attempt to save the phone?
Update did not work, will try restore next but hoping to save stuff as iCloud hasn't updated for awhile.

IPhone 6 Screen Flashing

Is anyone else experiencing the following?
When I go from my lock-screen to my home-screen, I am getting a white flash in the upper left of the screen. I also am noticing that the home button seems loose. I am taking it to Apple today to get it resolved. Thanks!

Have you tried a Reset by holding down the Sleep / Wake Button and the Home Button at the same time until the white Apple logo appears, then let go of the buttons, but wait until the Reset completes and you are back at your lock-screen? If this doesn't work then do you have a computer with the current version of iTunes? If yes and you already have a Backup of your Media and Data on iCloud or iTunes, then you can put the iPhone in DFU Mode. Don't do this unless you have a Backup and also have a computer with the latest iTunes. You will need your Apple ID and Password. To go to DFU Mode you can hold the Home button while you plug the Lightning Cable into the iPhone, a graphic will appear on the iPhone screen showing that you need to connect to iTunes. At that point just connect the iPhone via the Lightning Cable with USB into your Computer. Open the iTunes App on the Computer and wait until a button appears representing the connected iPhone. Then click on the iPhone button on the iTunes screen and it should open to the Summary page. At that point you can Restore the iPhone to Factory Settings and bring it up as A New Phone. The iPhone should screen should then show Hello and you will need to connect to your WiFi via your Router WiFi Password and then answer all the question put forth by the iPhone. When the "Lets Get Started" occurs you can thoroughly check out the iPhone to make sure it is all OK. When satisfied that things are good, you can plug into the computer and iTunes and this time Restore from Backup. or if you Backup is in iCloud you can Restore over the air.

If you have tried the hard reset, the reboot and the restore as new iPhone, and it still appears, I would suggest you to go to an Apple store, if possible

sometimes for a few seconds, or sometimes many hours.
I've resetted it when this happens, with no luck.
I've restored it from back up, and the problem still persists.

I had that problem as well and the apple support suggested to turn off the LTE-mode to have a running system and try to exchange the micro-sim by my provider.
THAT was not an option!
BUT it seems to solve my problem in the following way after trying a lot of possibilties:
In the menue properties/help (don't know the exact english word, because I run my phone in german)
I switched on the nice feature 'flash LED' by incomming calls, msgs, and push infos.
Today the flash feature was responding to different push notes very slowly.
By switching this feature off the LTE-mode-tochscreen-not-responding-problem disappeared.
We tried this on a other iphone, not having the metioned problem, and switched the LED-flash:
the problem appeared. Switching the LED-flash off: problem disappeared!
It seems to be a bug that the LED will hint Calls and MSGs in combination with the LTE mode!
treated my phone very hard today to double check, but its still ok.
@Apple:
Please fix that issue in the next update.

It's happened to me before as well. Try holding both lock(top right) and home buttons simultaneously until u see a slight flash of wight then just reboot it normally. If that doesn't work try restoring your device from itunes

here is my story. I got the iphone 4 on launch and had spots and screen is was warmer than my 3G.
I ended up taking it back and got another one and the screen is whiter and no spots.
here are some comparisons for you.

Now I also included the itouch. Notice all screens are different color temps. from these images the iphone 3G appears to have a slight hue of purple. In person the new iphone 4 that was replaced has is somewhere in between the itouch and 3g. I sold my 3gs and it was also warmer in color than previous models.
When I went down to the store to return the phone I noticed that many of their displays were also different in color. They had one display that was almost identical to the 3G image that it is shown in my picture. I tend to like the cooler temp lighting rather than the warmer. The new replacement phone that I have actually does look way better than picture shows in person.
This was taken with a dslr nikon camera with no flash. Because of the difference in color temps the sensors in the camera will not have as accurate white balance.

Iphone 6 screen frozen during start up.

During the start up process- I reached the step on the iphone 6 16GB to select back up by iColud or iTunes. I chose itunes and plugged in the iphone 6 to my computer- my itunes on the computer needed to be updated to the 11.4. After updating iTunes my iphone 6 screen was frozen and flashes red every 2 minutes or so. iphone 6 is not connecting to itunes or continuing the start up process. I have lost service on my old iPhone 4s.
I have tried restarting my computer and the iPhone 6.

Hello Michelle you are not the only 1 suffering from this problem. Many iPhone 6 users are going through the same thing. From the research that I have done it seems to be a problem with the NAND Flash that Apple has used in its 64gb and 128gb iPhone 6 models. They used a new TLC NAND Flash compared to the old MLC NAND Flash. The TLC is NAND Flash has more storage capacity but writes data slower and is more cost affective while the MLC NAND Flash stores less data but writes faster. Now from what I have read there is a problem with the new TLC NAND flash making ur phone go to the home screen and boot with the apple logo. Many had assumed that maybe Apple was going to offer in house repairs to change out the flash or fix the problem through an IOS update. None have happened so far. You can try to restore your phone as the razmee has suggested above or try taking you phone back to the apple store and see what they can do for you. Good Luck with everything.

I've got an iPhone 4s like 6 months ago. I protect my screen with a screen protector, but my friends told me that iPhone's screen can't be scratched, its this true?

Of course it's not true. It's made of glass. No matter how hard the glass is, it can be scratched.
As a practical matter, I never use screen protectors and I've had iPhones since the original in '07. I've never had scratches on the screen.

The screen isn't broken because it works after i turn the device off and back on, but after it goes black once, it's only white again.
But it takes the touches although it's only white, because I can answer my phone when I slide my finger on the bottom of the screen, eventhough there in not the button to see.
This is so weird. I have already done everything I can think of that might help. But I cannot think of anything that might be causing it, because nothing has happened to the device.

My wife's iPhone is the same vintage as mine 3Gs, but has never had the battery problem. Its affliction instead is that it cannot detect WiFi networks unless it is quite close to the source. Often, when my iPhone not only detects but shows a maximum cells connection with a network, hers cannot detect the network at all. In contrast, her iPhone seems to detect ourcellular carrier just as well as mine does.
Is there any help for this affliction?

Setting App > Notifications > Mail > Change the alert style to None (Then repeat for Messages).

No in order to backup to iTunes, you would need to unlock your phone.
In order to import pics to your computer you would need to unlock your phone.
