Hi to all
about 3 month ago i bought iPhone 5 32Gb in pawnshop. At that there was ios 7.0 or 7.1. I'm new with ios and iphone.
one day itunes requested update my device to 8.0, so i click update. after some time when its updated, turned on, i thought i would happy to use new ios. But when i chose country and landuage, it ask me for activation of iphone and marked as losted. I have called to this number and women sad that she never had this iphone.
Help me with that. I want to keep using my iPhone:-)
Then enjoy your new paperweight. When you purchased the device, it was your responsibility to verify that the device was usable. And if you had verified that the device was properly erased and set up a new, or if you'd used the free Activation Lock check website, you'd have avoided this situation. Granted, the pawn shop has a responsibility in this as well, but that doesn't remove your responsibility.
If the pawn shop won't exchange it for one that is not Activation Locked, then either pursue legal action against the shop or accept the fact that you have an unusable device.

While upgrading iPhone OS from 5.1 to 5.1.1 on Win 7 using iTunes 10.6.1.7, the iPhone hung. I could not get iTunes to find it and Win 7 does not see it.
When I connect the iPhone to the USB, Win 7 issues the welcome sound, but that is it. The same happens when I disconnect iPhone.
The Devise Manager has the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver correct without any problem. I updated this driver called usbaapl64.
The iPhone is still hung.
I restarted the iPod service
I restarted the Apple Mobile Device Service
I tried to empty and delete the temp directory in C:\users\myname\AppData\Local\ but could not
The iTunes I am using is the latest version
I updated the Apple Mobile Device Driver as stated above correctly
The iPhone is still hung and is not recognized by Win 7 or iTunes, so I cannot restore the OS to the previous working version
What else can I do to restore the previous working OS on my iPhone 4I was connecting the iPhone 4 to a USB 3.0 port. I was told by Apple Express Support (at US$29.99) not to use USB 3.0 and to use USB 2.1 instead.
If you are connecting your iPhone to the computer using a USB 3.0 port, disconnect it immediately. iPhones will lock up if you try to update while using a connection through a USB 3.0 port.
Disconnect the iPhone from the computer
Go to Device Manager and find the connected USB port. Click the mouse right button and update the driver
Shut the iPhone by pressing the sleep button and the home button concurrently for some time
Move the USB cable to a USB 2.1 port or older without the iPhone.
Restart iTunes.
Connect the iPhone
Your computer should recognize the phone and reloads the correct USB 2.1 driver (Apple Mobile Device)
Then iTunes should recognize the iPhone and starts reloading the firmware.
When that is complete it may ask if you wish to restore, naturally you say YES
iTunes will restore the iOS
Using iTunes, restore the latest backup to get your data back.
When all of the above is completed. Start enjoying your iPhone.
If the above does not work. Throw your iPhone out of the window and get a replacement Android phone. -

When you went back to the place where you purchased this phone, & asked them, what did they say?
No one here can help you with this, nor can/will Apple. You need to take this up with whoever you purchased this phone from. -

Now I tried to upgrade it to iOS 7.0.4.but after that my phone not work with last sim card.
And invalid sim appeared.so I bought it without contract but it seems to be lock in my country

ThanksWithout contract is not the same as unlocked. The update to iOS 7 relocked
the iPhone to the wireless carrier to which it was originally locked. You must
contact that wireless carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
If you used jailbreak or other hack to unlock the iPhone initially, the method
used may prevent a legitimate unlock from succeeding and may render your
iPhone unuseable. -
I bought an iPhone 4 from a youngster who had put his own Apple ID on it but could not remember the password. I backed it up yesterday and restored to my new iPhone and it copied the Apple ID across too. Now I have 2 phones with it on. Anything I do?

when you start using iCloud on any iOS device and enable find my iPhone, this prevents a new user from using it, and also prevents anyone from using the phone
as it is locked to previous owners account ,this is also the case if when a phone is lost or stolen.
the only way around this is to have the previous owner reset their apple id by going to @ applied.apple.com
if they are unable to do this, then the only other way around this is to have the previous owner get a copy of their original receipt and call apple support who can then lift this lock if they get a copy of the receipt

Updated to an iphone 4s from iphone 4. Did backup and sync but some apps have not been copied to the 4s although they do show up on the iphone4. How can I get my missing apps?

It sounds as if you had a device that was jailbroken/hacked to operate on your carrier. Upon updating the iOS, it is now locked back to the original carrier the device was locked to.
Only the carrier the device is locked to can authorize an unlock. You will need to make contact with that carrier and see if they provide unlocking services, and if they do, if you qualify for an unlock. Otherwise, you are out of luck. One that carrier can take care of the unlocking. -

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any iDevice. -

I have an Iphone 4 from a friend. It was never updated with him and now I am trying update to latest software version. It is currently in 4.3.2 and it updates till the last few seconds and then a message, with no error number, states that the internet connection had time out during update. I am using my PC and have tried unsuccessfully for a week. I have tried to restore setting on phone first before plugging in to PC and updating software through Itunes? I took it to my mobile phone outlet and they couldn't help? Is there another way?

i bought an iphone 4 from my friend and he do not know his apple ID and we are trying to know the email attached to is apple ID so we can rest it cause he forgot them as well and the reset button in the 2 steps always says that the email is always sent ! ( even if you wrote a worng ID like ( asdasdasd ) it will say sent !! how come and now am trying to know or need a hint on that email so my freind could try to remember it !

I had to erase my data to upgrade my iPhone software from an older version. I backed up first, but seem to have lost all my notes. Does anyone know how retrieve my old notes?

If I go tot this window on finder and enter Time Machine I can go back and find old notes...
If so, am I doing this on my new hard drive on on the time machine? When I do this on the time machine, what is "my home"? Also, I am unable to find "containers".
If I go to users/jeff/library, then I see components, compositions, contextual, etc, but not containers.

Hi chaps. FaceTime question. I can FaceTime by phoning my iPhone 4 from my iPad 2 but cannot phone my iPad from the iPhone. When facetimeing from phone to iPad the phone says it's busy. The iPad rings once and then stops. Any ideas. Regards Jon
