Iphone 5 froze while using navigation?

I was using the new maps app on my iphone 5 and when I lost service, the app froze then shut my phone down multiple times. I heard of the app not being accurate but never heard anything like this happening. Anyone else have this?

No, that didn't help. I went over to the ATT store where I bought the phone. They showed me how to do a "soft restart". So now instead of seeing the apple logo on a black screen, I see the round blue logo with the music note in it, with a small font "iTunes" below that. And below that I see what looks like the electric cable that plugs into the iPhone.
The folks at ATT said that if I now plug it back into my computer itunes, it should reset my iPhone. So I just tried it. Nope. The computer makes the sound as if it's recognized the iPhone plug in, but absolutely nothing comes up on my computer screen.
They also made an appointment for me at the Apple store, but that's not until Tuesday.
Any other bright ideas out there?

You can try resetting it to see if that turns it on, but if it does not work, the iPhone is probably damaged from the fall and you should take it to an Apple Store so that they can have a look and determine if it is repairable. An out of warranty replacement will cost you money but much less than if you had to buy a new phone.

Phone froze while using Here drive

Today my phone froze while using the Here Drive. It worked perfectly on the journey to my destination, unfortuntately failed and the phone froze with the screen still on the Here Drive where it froze. I was unable to change the screen or click on anything. Screen stayed the same until I arrived home.
Upon arriving home after looking at the support for the phone, I tried the soft reset and no response. Phone is still dead.
The phone was on charge through out the journey. and charged up fully prior to the return journey.
Screen is now totally blank.
My phone has never frozen before and was updated to the new Here Drive yesterday.
Infact very proud of it.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Is the phone supposed to warm up while using Skype. It gets kind of hot, but not hot to the point I can not use it...

When using any application varying on how many sub-features are enabled, this can generate a good deal of heat. Whether it's a phone call and surfing the web at the same time, making a movie, video chat, navigation, social chatting, and many other app types. If it's using 3G/WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3D Graphics, etc, it will generate heat.
Skype may generate a moderate amount of heat as it uses 3G or WiFi, Location Services, Bluetooth optional, active Internet usage when on calling, and even using video chat the latest feature established.
The iPhone can withstand up to 90F outdoor temperature or even higher. You can wear a case to protect your hands. If it's too hot case or not, log out of Skype for a while. It'll cool down in about 5 minutes.

If your phone is in recovery mode (You see the iTunes graphic on the phone), you MUST connect the device to a computer and restore the operating system. There is no supported way to get around it. The device had a problem installing the update and it crashed. Sorry.

IPhone dies while using radio app 3g plugged in?

I am curently in the hospital under going antibiotics treatment and will be stuck for 2 weeks. So I thought to myself I better bring my charger and I should be all good. I have noticed on several occasions that while using a radio app or watching a movie over 3G my phone dies even while plugged in? It don't make sense. I thought if I have a full battery and plugged in I should be good. But when listening for a couple of hours even with the screen locked it shuts off and I get the too low to turn on battery icon? Is this a major flaw that apple forgot to mention that the phone draws more power than it takes in while charging or plugged in?
This is not acceptable. My phone is not jailbroken and I am not tethering. So what's up with this?

I don't live in that area (I'm in northern Orange County, CA), but my neighbor and I have been having the same problem since last Saturday (Feb. 5) in the area around where we live (we both have iPhone 4's, and they still work fine in other areas). Note that we have full bars, and the "3G" symbol on the display, but get no data over 3G; disabling 3G allows access using EDGE (slowly), and phone/texting works fine (it's just the 3G data in our neighborhood that's broken). Interestingly, my neighbor also has an iPad, and it doesn't exhibit the problem. Both phones and the iPad are running iOS V4.2.1. We've tried all the normal things (rebooting, clearing network settings, etc.), and nothing works. I spent some time on the phone last night with AT&T, and they are going to send someone out to check connectivity.

My Iphone 3G froze while is was upgrading the OS installed on it. Even when i restart my phone the "Connected to Itunes" logo appears. I have even tried to hold home and sleep button for 10 seconds with no results.
I've also tried reinstalling Itunes, but the Iphone doesn't appear.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My 2g, and 3GS have crashed every time on updates on XP, vista, and win7. The restore usually doesn't work the first time or 2 until you've rebooted the computer once or twice. I even had to create a second user on the computer, load a separate itunes on it to get it to restore(with apple guy walking me through it) then switching to my normal user and backing up to the phone. Really wastes a ton of time.

so while updating my iphone there was an error so the application (iTunes) quite, but my iphone froze. it has a logo of iTunes on top and arrow and then the chord to connect to the phone which means to connect iphone to itunes, i did but it is still frozen. Connect iPhone to iTunes again and try to Restore again. If it Errors, write down the Error Code on paper so that the problem can be corrected.

Reset the iPhone. Press and hold the top and home buttons for 10+ seconds until it forcibly restarts. Then you should be able to either continue or Restore it using iTunes on your computer.
