Iphone 5 - Glitch Right Side of Power Button

Hi all,
I own a white 16GB Ipone 5 model A1429 which i bought from chicago last december (still have insurance).
a month ago started this wired problame with my power button that only my left side of the button works while the right side doesn't respone at all.
i heard that some people got their phone replaced at Apple Store for this same problem.
the thing is that im going to be at Barcelona next week and i would like to to use my insurance the apple store there.
do any of you know if i can get help with the model A1429 at an european apple store?
i tried to call them but they only speak in spanish on the phone :S

Warranty and support are only valid in the country of origin.
As for your insurance, Apple does not sale insurance.  Take that up with whomever the insurance was purchased from.
If by insurance you mean AppleCare+ (it is not insurance), that is only valid in the country of origin.

My iPhone 5 is disabled and the power button doesn't work. How would I fix it? Please Help

wait it for your iPhone to die then before it turns it plug it into iTunes while holding the home button and it will force it into recovery mode.
will be hard to get the timing right cause u will need to wait for the battery to die and charge up again. Other then that just take it to apple and have them replace the device for a fee.

    Hi:
Below is the link to the maintenance and service guide for your notebook.

Please see Chapter 2, pages 11-12 which show the buttons and label them. The button to the right of the power button is indicated to be a button to launch the web browser.

  • Iphone 3gs stuck in recovery mode , power button dosent work, and cant connect to itunes.

    Well This Is Bad.
So today i used my iphone 3gs.. and then it had a problem so i restored it. then during the restore it gave me error 20. i tried looking at apple support but it didnt help.
    so heres what it has:
    1. broken power button
    2. cant be seen on itunes.. not even the mac!
    3. stuck in recovery mode.
    4. dosent sence a computer.
now i hear theres a "freezer trick" to get it out of this mode. but i tried it and no luck.
i also looked on youtube, google, and apple support and stores. but theres nobody who had this problem.
im trying to wait till the battery runs out but that will take long.
    what should i do?!?

You are right there as a weard issue try with the battery comes out and then try to connect to the itunes should be working properly, if not fix the power on/off button because are escential to do it.

  • My iphone wont turn on and the power button is not functioning

my iphonw wont turn on and the power button is not functioning

If your power button is broken, there's not much you can do. You could go to an Apple store & do an out of warranty exchange...Apple doesn't fix iPhones, they replace them. But, I wouldn't recommend doing so, as the iPhone 3G was discontinued almost three years ago & won't run most apps in the app store.
You'd be better served by selling it for parts & using the money to purchase a new phone.

  • My iPhone 4 stopped receiving texts, my power button is broken, so l went to settings and reset all settings. it has been stuck on the apple logo and loading bar screen for 12 hours

I just want to be able to use my phone, l thought maybe the battery was too low for it to finish loading so l plugged it in over night and it hasn't moved at all. What should l do?

Take it to an Apple store to be evaluated; without a working power button, there is no further troubleshooting you can do.

  • Exchange Email is not being fully shown, blocked by right side Forward, Back Button Bar

When in my Exchange Email, an email is selected and shows up on the right side. However, firefox mobile does not format the page correctly and when you try to scroll over to the right it cuts off the email and the Right side bar ( With back, forward, and setting on it), block it as well. Zooming out does not work as the page is not properly loaded.

I was able to log into and read Outlook Web Access using Firefox Mobile. What version of owa? Click the options and then choose about.

  • Just got my iphone 5 last week and the power button is stuck now what

is my phone under warranty and can anything be done?

If there's no evidence of user damage (like you dropped it and that's why the power button is stuck), then your phone will be replaced without charge.

  • Why is the "answer" button on iphone on the right side when you "slide to answer" from left to right to answer?

I have rejected a few calls because of my habit to start on the left side not realizing an app or my home screen was open.  This seems like a simple oversight I was hoping to see fixed in 7.0.

  • How do i change my password to my iphone? the right side of my phone is broken and i dont know how to get in it

You don't. You get the phone serviced by Apple.

  • IPhone 5 lock button not really working on right side

The sleep/wake button on my iphone 5 works normally when pressed on the left side of the button but most of the time when you press it in certain ways on the right side of the button it doesn't seem to work. The left side of the button also sinks into the device more than the right. It has been getting progressively worse over the past few weeks. Would apple replace this? It is still covered by its one year warranty.

Every warranty claim is on a case by case basis.
If not determined to be caused by accidental damage or abuse, the iPhone should be exchanged under warranty but no one here can say for certain or answer for Apple in this regard.

  • Iphone5 right side power button issue?

Is anyone facing the issue on iphone5 power button? where it doesnt funcation when pressed on the right side of the button but it works when pressed left side of the button.

    Hi,
Is it the same issue I've owned?

Is there any fix for it?

  • IPhone 5 power button randomly presses itself

The past few days, my iPhone 5 has randomly pressed the power button and my screen will lock or go to a black screen that says "slide to power off". It does this over and over. I made a copy of the phone right after it started happening and then restored it and the problem persisted as soon as I downloaded an app. It does it during the middle of phone calls - which results in hang ups, on safari, music, everything, etc.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like the power/sleep button is physically failing. The phone is under warranty. make an appointment at the genius bar and have it looked at.

  • Turn off iphone power button broken and touchscreen selectively unresponsive

I have an iPhone 4S w/ iOS 7, my power button has broken so I have enabled the Accessibility features in order to lock and unlock my phone.
That has been working fine. Now, my touch screen is selectively responsive. It IS NOT broken or damaged in anyway. I can access the pull down and pull up menus, I can ask Siri to search for something and I can scroll through the responses she returns. I can visit one of those web pages she returns and scroll inside of those as well.
However, any scrolling that is related to a Home screen function I can not perform. For example, I can't "flick" away apps to close them, I can't hold down the "Lock Screen" button which then presents the "Slide to turn off" slider, the touchscreen won't slide the slider... When I do access either the pull down or pull up menus, I can see them but I cannot select anything on them, the touchscreen is unresponsive. When my phone is locked I can't swipe to unlock it.
We do not have home POTS service, so this is my only means of calling for help if I needed to, and now I can't. This is a very unfortunate failure.

    Hi there quixee,
I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps found in the article below.
