IPhone 5 hangs after being on silent mode and doesn't come back normal until I switch it off and switch it back on.
My phone's just a month old and I've encountered this issue for three times in row. I put my phone on silent at night. Following morning, when I get calls while the phone is on silent mode:
1. I put it back on normal mode but phone remains silent.
2. I swipe across the screen to receive the call, I'm able to swipe but call doesn't start.
3. Touchscreen becomes slow in response.
The only thing works is switching off the phone and switshing it back on to get it back to normal. This has happened three times in row and it's surprising becuse the phone's new and has not been damaged at all. Experiencing this after using for just about a month is a nightmare. What's wrong with my phone?
I have an iphone 3 and the same problem. Some of the 2008 posts on a similar title suggest a restore. I need to save all of my 700+ photos somewhere before I attempt that process.

TS4113 Mac mini looses audio output through HDMI after being in 'sleep mode'
Since a month or so, my Mac mini is unable to send audio through HDMI output after being in 'sleep mode'.
Recently this was no problem, but now I cannot hear anything after unsleeping (unless I reboot fully).
Please help.This is not just a Mac Mini problem. I've found comments from people with all kinds of Mac, with any kind of external sound device, who all have this same issue.
The common factor is Mountain Lion.
Apparently there is a new build (12F42) which is supposed to fix this.

Brand new iPhone 3GS won't go into silent mode
I just purchased an iPhone 3GS. It came with iOS5 preinstalled. I haven't been able to make it go into silent mode. Is there some setting I need to switch?
In my 1st generation iPhone, all I had to do was flip the switch on the side of the iPhone, so that the orange dot would be seen, and it would display the crossed bell graphic and go into silent mode.
When I flip the switch on the iPhone 3GS, nothing happens. It still makes noise when it rings. I tried toggling the setting in "Sounds" which said "Change with Buttons", but the switch still doesn't work. Toggling this setting seems to affect whether the "speaker" graphic is on screen when I press the volume buttons.
It seems that there is no way I can get the ringer switch to do anything.
Is there anyway to make this work? Or have I received a defective unit? =SI took it back to the store where i purchased it and had them replace it. No one could figure out why it wouldn't go silent, so we assumed the hardware was faulty. The new device works.

I was trying to update sofwatare for my iphone 4s, i got stuck with recovery mode and only option i see is to restore from factory setting. Do i lose all the the datas ? i did't had any backup. What is a solution?
If you didn't back it up, your data is gone. There is no "solution" after the fact.

Related errors: 1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1000, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
These errors mean that your device or computer may have a hardware issue that's preventing the update or restore from completing.
Check that your security software and settings aren't preventing your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Confirm that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

Make sure you are using current iTunes on your computer. Click the iTunes Tab at the top of this page. Or try to Restore your iPhone with a different computer.

Two days ago, I have a new iphone 4S. After I installed the OS and start the iphone, I found a strange screen says "!9D/JC" that blocks the iphone and I can not access the iphone until click many times on the "Desmiss" button at the botom of the screen.

Screen doesn't come back after sleeping
Occassionally I find that after closing my MPB to put it to sleep the screen doesn't come back up after re-opening the laptop. The pulsing white light which tells you the machine is sleeping goes off, so it seems as if the machine has woken up.... but there's nothing on the screen. I'm forced to use the power button to shut the machine down and start up again.
Something to worry about?
(p.s. I just tested it again and noticed that when I close the lid the white light isn't pulsing, but rather stays lit)
Message was edited by: Scott F.I just recently (within the last two days) started having this problem myself. I've only owned the Macbook for a few months (purchased it from Apple online store right before the new ones came out). I am thinking it might be due to a recent update or something.
When I close the lid, laptop sleeps but when you open it you can hear the CD tray spin up like it's trying to wake but doesn't. I've tried adjusting screen brightness via f-keys, changing the volume, etc. but seems like system is just locked up. I've been having to hold down the power button and force a reboot. -

You can only use iMessage to reach other iDevices. Non-Apple devices require a regular SMS text message.

iPhone stops charging a few seconds after being connected to a USB slot, it will charge when switched off is I think it must be a software issue.
HAve you tried using a different power chord? If the power chord is not the issue, it could be the power supply inside your mac.
