IPhone 5 hangs installing ios 7.1.2

Anyone else having issues? My iPhone has stalled at about 65%, not moving for the last 20 minutes. Just showing the white apple symbol and the white line at about 65%. Any suggestions?

Happened after the iphone reboot pop-up. Progress bar on iphone stuck for at least an hour at about 1% remaining. Had to do a hard reset (pressed lock button and home buttons several seconds to get the iphone to turn off and restart. Seems OK so far afterward, but I'm concerned whether there is any corruption in the install.

I restored my settings my I got the new phone but I think I heard that with the iOS 6 updated that can be an issue and it is better to start from scratch rather than restore your settings.

reset all settings
settings- general- reset - reset all settings
now reconnect to wifi
settings - wifi- click network name - enter password - join
if issue persists backup info and restore via itunes

On the iPhone 5 I installed iOS 7. Soon I felt dizzy. I did not know the cause, so I measured the blood pressure, but it was okay.
A few days later I read an article stating that iOS 7 in some people cause dizziness, headaches, etc. I immediately connected it with his vertigo.
I reduced the movement of the user interface, as well as the use of cell phones. I try not to look at the screen when the icon fly. Dizziness were reduced, although after prolonged use of the iPhone and still feel.
Please Apple that the problem resolved as soon as possible.

One thing that might help, try to find a solid color that you can use as a walpaper rather than a picture, or the dynamic images that come with iOS 7.

Not sure if you had any luck with this 'princessksee' but I had literally the very same issue, very frustrating to say the least.
Sometimes it is the simple fix that works and in this case, ChrisJ4203 provided the right handshake required to get me back up and running by doing the reset as he describes above.
The key is ensuring that you hold down the sleep/wake and home buttons at the same time and wait much longer than you think you need to.
Hope you had similiar success and assume that there will be others who will access this resource for this very same problem.
Wanted to see that you had been sorted and also to let others know that this is a good place to start.
Overall very happy with the new features included in this update despite this small issue.

How can I backup my iPhone 3Gs and install iOS 5 when my PowerMac G3 cannot update to the latest iTunes?

I have a PowerMac G3 that's running Tiger OS 10.4.11, iTunes 8.2.1, a Mac mini running Lion 10.7.3, and iTunes 10.5.3. My iPhone is a 3Gs with IOS 4.3.5 and was originally synced to the PowerMac G3. I went to back up my iPhone so that I could install IOS 5 but when I plugged the iPhone into the G3, I got the message saying that I have to download the latest iTunes. The phone wasn't even recognized. What do I need to do at this point? I'm getting pretty frustrated at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone... :-)

Couple of possabilities,
1 - As Andea says, use the MacMini but start a new backup from your 3Gs iPhone, so that you can restore if the upgrade to IOS 5 goes pear shaped. A backup doesn't hold your Apps, Music or Movies, just the settings and App data etc.
2 - Copy your entire iTunes folder from the G3 to the Mini, then when you want to sync the iPhone all the music etc. can be kept in sync as before.
Not sure if you sync your address book, iCal and e-mail from iTunes or via the Cloud, if the former you'd need to put a copy of these also on the Mini

HT204406 iTunes Match is not working on my iPhone 4S after installing iOS 6. I finally see a list of artists, but the songs are all empty and will not play, and no play lists are present.

iTunes Match is not working after the iOS 6 install. All music that was previously downloaded is gone. When the "Music App" is opened, I see a picture of a cloud, and a progress bar that goes nowhere. Then it goes away. No playlists are present. It shows artists, and albums, but all songs are empty. Nothing plays.
Is there a fix for this, or are the Apple Servers simply totally overwhelmed, and this is a matter of being annoyed and patient until it finally connects.

Same issue for me.
Some further peculiar things I noticed:
Directly after updating to iOS 6 I had to switch on iTunes Match again (iPhone settings). Then I realized that my music was gone (as described above).
Under settings -> usage one could see that the memory space was still occupied by the huge music library (i.e. there where only 9 of 64 GB free). This changed after several hours. Now there are only 9 GB used, the rest is free. So the library is really gone.
Since then my iPhone continuously downloads some unknown data from the internet (even if all apps are closed and I deselect the use of mobile networks at the several menus in the settings). All apps are closed. The iPhone gets hot and downloads something. It downloaded nearly 400 MB in the last 48 hours via mobile networks. (I got a flatrate, so I don't really care about the data.)
Does anyone know what this means? Thanks for any help!

Apps on itunes greyed out. How do i reload them on to my iphone 3GS after installing ios 5?

After upgrading the software to iOS 5 on my iPhone 3GS it reinstalled all my musis, videos and podcasts but won't sync my apps. When I go into iTunes to manually sync them the App part of iTunes t greyed out and not accessible. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I have disconnected my iPhone 4-5 times and restarted iTunes, but this is not working.

What happens when you try to send a message? If you get an error message,
what is the exact complete wording of that message?
Are you using iMessage or a 3rd party app?
Is your account properly provisioned for messaging if using other than iMessage?

Battery drain on my iPhone 5 after installing iOS 7.

Ok first off I would like to point out I was getting 5-6 hours of usage on LTE with iOS 6 and 8-9 hours of usage on wifi. With that being said, I updated to the new iOS 7 and ever since I've noticed a significant drop in usage on LTE and wifi with iOS 7. Now I'm getting 3-4 hours usage on LTE and 5-6 hours on wifi. I've turned off the refresh background apps switch and I turned all but one app off pertaining to location services. So, I have run out of options to improve battery life. Is there a bug in iOS 7? Please help

Updated to iOS7 and have been watching my battery usage. For instance yesterday I noticed, after unplugging my phone from overnight charge, that after 14+ hrs of normal use I still had 55% of my battery left. I couldn't be happier. I've never had any phone last that long before. I also did the same as you, turned off as much "battery draining" apps as possible. Maybe a "hard" reset might help. Good Luck

99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
So, you need to get a sim card from the carrier the phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, if you want to activate it. Because it appears that it was not officially unlocked.
