Unable to search icloud inbox in Outlook 2013, Windows 8.1
HI,
I hope someone can help, I've been struggling with this for a few weeks.
I largely use my iPad and iPhone for email but have recently been more reliant on my Windows laptop as I have need to create items in office and it's simply easier on the large screen.
Outlook and iCloud integration has however been a constant source of frustration. I have almost got it, including the work around to subscribe to the sent items folder and create a rule.
The one thing now causing me frustration is that I am unable to search the iCloud inbox. When I type a search string it simply sits in 'searching' even though the message is there. This is strange as I can search all other iCloud folders and even right clicking on a message and selecting find messages in conversation works.
I have tries rebuilding the index.
As a side note, as it might be related, every time I open Outlook I receive the message 'For best performance, iCloud should not be set as the default data file. You can change this setting in Windows Control Panel under Mail, Data Files.' As I'm not sure what this means I've not done this.
I'm sure I can't be the only person with this frustration and I really hope someone has a neat solution.

I have deleted the icloud account in Outlook and reinstalled it again by "icloud system control".
Now I am able to access my icloud calender, etc. again.

My iPhone 4s is in constant search mode. Help !!!
Hi, my iPhone 4s is in constant search mode. The wifi is fine but the phone itself is unable to find any carrier signals. The firmware (6.1.3) is up to date and the phone has been restored through itunes both as a new iphone and restored from a saved back up. curiously as well when you remove the sim card the phone does not register the removal. The guys down at the apple genius bar tell me that the phone is mechanically in perfect order. Never been dropped, never come into contact with water and never been opened to replace any parts. Basically they are stumped for an answer. can anybody out there offer some help. Oh and i have done the hard restart using the home button and the power button but still no joy. Is this perhaps a 6.1.3 bug that were not being told about? I only ask this as it was working fine until after i did the 6.1.3 software upgrade and i have noticed a lot of posts regarding similar problems on iphone's only with the wifi after upgrading. Thanks.

Thank you for providing so much detail about the issue you are experiencing with the iTunes Store.
The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the iTunes Store, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Hi, I am using my icloud on my iphone but am unable to find it on my mac book pro. It's not under my system preferences like it shows under the setup. Can I download it again? Or something. I just need to backup some files on my computer and am unable.
The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mavericks preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is now non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks (10.9.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Mavericks are:
OS X v10.6.8 or later
2GB of memory
8GB of available space
and the supported models are:
iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)

User using outlook 2010 unable to search older items lets say a year old.
User is unable to search an emails a year old in outlook. OWA is working fine able to search and find all the emails .
Tried rebuilding the outlook profile and indexing but still unable to find any pointers.

I just traded in my iPhone 4S for Samsung Galaxy 4S, still have iPad. Some of my iPhone contacts are unable to send me a txt that I can receive. But NOT all of my iPhone contacts. What your iPhone using friends label your phone number in their contacts is irrelevant. I don't know who you pay $9.99 a month to but it's not Apple. You can't disable text messaging on your iPad as it is not capable of SMS.
Do you still have the iPhone? If so, log out of iMessage on the iPhone.
Try this:

Log in if not already logged in.
Click on "Edit Products"
Click on the "X" to the right of the product.
Click "Unregister"
Also, try changing the password on your iTunes account. -

How to reset your Apple ID password.

i have the latest version of free Quicktime, Itunes and unable to view video on my PC all i get is a pink screen the audio is OK i have uninstalled and installed several times same problem, i have a Iphone 4 and unable to view the content.
Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:

When I upgraded my iMac to Lion I can no longer connect the iPad 2 to WiFi. It gives me a message unable to search for WiFi. Before the upgrade to Lion it worked fine. What gives?
Could there be a setting I need to adjust in the iPad2? When I try to turn on WiFi and enter the name of the WiFi that I have established, including the security type and the password, I get the message "Could not scan for wireless networks." Is there a setting in iCloud or other location that needs to be changed?

I just downloaded the latest version of iTunes (11.0.4). Now I both unable to make purchases on iTunes and unable to sync my iPhone with my computer without restoring it to factory settings (which will erase my data). Is there someway to revert back to 11.0.3 version of iTunes?
If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar and Control+B to show the Menu bar
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing and follow the instructions. -

Mac mini Server 10.6 unable to search for files on the server from desktop.
I'm running Mac mini Server 10.6 with 15 various Apple Mac desktops 10.4 / 10.6. The problem i'm having is that i'm unable to search for files on the server from any of the desktops. I have fixed permissions and rebooted. I can perfomr a search though command - F and spotlight from the server.
