IPhone 5 imessage wifi and backup problem plaguing me

After days and hours of frustration I am reaching out for some help! This is my first post so here goes...
Iphone 5
Running 6.1.4
1) my first issue started with imessage. My messages were not being sent or received and every time I attempt to sign in using my apple account it says my password is incorrect - which it isn't!!
2) second issue arose when trying to sort out the imessage issue. I thought I would try to backup and restore my iphonenvia my laptops iTunes library. However, my iPhone wont backup due to an unknown issue
3) third and final issue is after resetting my iPhone setting to try and rectify the imessage issue I can no longer connect to my homes wifi network. My pad and partners iPhone 4 is working fine. I keep getting "incorrect password" when again, it's correct!!  I have a bt home hub 3.
I would also add that this is my 2nd iPhone 5 as my first one had a major hardware failure and was immediately replaced. HELP

If your iPhone do not accept your password, so how can that be correct?
Delete your backup and try again.
iTunes > Preferences...(Windows: Edit > Preferences...) > Devices > select backup, click Delete button.

    Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine.

    Apple doesn't have anything to do with this other than enforcing the DRM protection. The developers of this content expect to be paid if someone wants to use their content. When you purchase content in the app store, you purchase a license to use the content. This license does not permit you or anyone else to resell or give this content away. The individual you purchased the phone from simply does not have the right to sell or give away any purchased content on the phone. You were deceived.

    I also forgot to mention that when it did have power, it wouldn't let me shut it off to try and conserve the battery life. Right when it powered down it would power right back up.

  • IPhone 6 Wi-Fi and Battery Problems

    Background info:
    -- My first iPhone 6 kept randomly shutting down and turning itself back on while I was in various apps and on the home screen and also while the phone was on stand-by. I called Apple Support and they sent me a replacement without asking too many questions.
    -- I don't know if my replacement is new or refurbished, although I'm assuming it's new since I received the replacement about 2.5 weeks after the release date of the iPhone 6, but who knows.
    Problem:
    The replacement iPhone's wifi and battery.
    Wi-Fi:
    -- My replacement/current iPhone 6 is running iOS 8.0.2.
    -- Trying to load anything while on wifi is so, so, so SLOW. I don't even use it on my phone anymore and I stick to cellular data because that is how bad it is.
    -- I did NOT have this issue with my original iPhone 6 (iOS 8.0.2).
    -- My iPad Air (iOS 8.0.2) has absolutely no problems with the wifi.
    -- Resetting my network settings fixed the issue for literally 15 minutes before the problem started again.
    -- Restoring the phone from backup does not work. Setting up the phone as new does not work.
    Battery:
    -- My original iPhone 6's battery life was amazing. I could go through the whole day with heavy use with my cellular data and location on and still have a good 40% left on it. It took A LOT to kill even 10% of it.
    -- My replacement iPhone's battery is absolutely pathetic. Light use (texting, browsing) with cellular data on and location off for an hour kills 20% of it.
    -- Pretty much any "battery-saving" thing I can do is done (like turning off wifi, cellular data, and location unless it's absolutely needed).
    I don't want to contact Apple for another possible replacement because I just feel weird about it. Obviously I will if I have to.
    Do you guys have any suggestions or fixes? Please help!

    I downloaded the Speedtest app on my iPhone and iPad and would randomly test one right after the other. I accumulated about 5 tests a day on each device over the course of 3 days. I set up an appointment at the Genius bar. I told the Genius that I set up my phone as new and then showed him my comparisons of the Speedtest on both devices. He handed me a new (non-refurbished because it hasn't been out for long) phone, no questions. Apparently it was a hardware issue and not an iOS 8 bug.

    Hi, it was two days (so from yesterday) that I have big issues with my iPhone 3Gs with iOS 4.3.3. It not have falls, so I don't think it's hardware problems, because it seems that all the connectivity modules restart. Network (3G or 2G), Wifi And Bluetooth seems to be off and again on, and repeats. First I try to restart, but nothing is fixed. Then I try to restore and insert backup, restore on DFU and insert again the apps, but this afternoon it restart the problems, and restarts itself two times. It strange because I see that the "Personal Hotspot" appears together with this issues. I posted images for explain better (the time is different because is not easy to shot the moment of the restart of the modules. I want to remak that since yesterday morning I never have this problems.

    Complete nonsense.  Find My iPhone has nothing to do with the grayed out wifi issue which you clearly don't understand - tuning it on and off does nothing.

  • 4S connectivity to WiFi, and touch problems since IOS 8

    I have an iPhone 4S. Since I downloaded IOS 8 and updates, I have been experiencing intermittent loss of connectivity to WiFi and a few instances of the screen freezing up on me. I've already had Apple support, where they helped me empty phone and reinstall the software, then subsequently all apps and items back onto phone. It worked for 2 days and then started with the same issues again. I then uninstalled the one app I had installed since iOS 8, hoping that was the problem. It was not.
    I was told there is no going back to an older system. I have never had any problems with this phone until the new IOS 8 was added. Is there anyone else who has similar problems?

    Sorry for the long intro question.  I just bought a new iPhone 5S for me and a new 5C for my wife.
    We want to give our kids my old 4S and my wife's old 4.  We backed up our old phones and restored
    our info to our new ones, but when we connect our old phones, they still show all our songs and iTunes
    settings on them (along with the same names as our new ones).
    We want to set up our old iPhones for our kids to be able to have their own names on theirs so that
    when we connect to my iTunes computer, it sees each phone accordingly, and has only the songs
    that they select (whereas I want to keep ALL my songs in my iTunes account on mine, not just some).
    How do I do this?

    But regarding the Bluetooth I’d like to ask you your machine came pre-loaded with windows 7?

    IiPhone 5 in last couple weeks has been randomly dropping wifi and cell signal when asleep. Requires restart to reset it. Turning off wifi or going into airplane mode for 15 seconds does not fix it. Also I note that when I restart after a dropped signal, the phone searches a few seconds longer than at other times.

    I have had my iPhone 4 for 6 months now, and I have dropped it a couple of times, but a few days after I dropped it nothing happened. My first problem started in May when I noticed that my phone could not reach the wifi at home or other places quickly as it normally could and when I would go into other rooms I would lose the connection quickly.This made me have to use my 3g more often and I only have a limit of 300MB, I normally do not use it, because of the wifi i have around,but it is getting harder. 2-3 days ago I called the DATA (*3282#) in my phone and got 64.89 out of 300MB. I later used my 3G for awhile, so a day later i called DATA and the same number (64.89 out of 300MB) comes on again. I knew this was a mistake so I called it again and the same number shows up. I KNOW FOR SURE I USED MY 3G, so I dont know why this keeps popping up. Everything else channged (texting and calling) On top of that my vibration started to not work in early June and it's difficult for me to know when someone has texted or called. I have tried going into settings and choosing a different type of vibration, but it does not vibrate overall and yes it is turned on. My version right now is 6.1. Will upgrading help? Everything else works fine, but is there a way I can fix this or do I have to go the Apple Store? I'm also in AT&T.

    For the data usage,
    I have AT&T as well and I found that the Data usage only updates about once a day even though texting updated instantly.
    As for the vibration,
    The vibration motor thing may be broken.
    But I am not sure.

    Yesterday I bought a Blackberry Curve 9860 to replace a 8900. I upgraded to 7.1, but I found two "details":
    1. About WiFi networks in my home: I have a network N that was set on channel 13. Blackberry can not connect to it, only when I changed to channel 1 might be connected, is a common problem? My previous Curve had no trouble connecting on channel 13. This happened with the original OS 7.0 and the upgrade to 7.1.
    2. When I call other person I hear perfect, but the other person hears me well until I move a little, for example, I have spoke next to the microphone and the other person listen really well, but I move 3 inches and don't hear anything or far...
    I think it may be a noise cancellation feature/setting or to avoid echoes in BB, no a hardware problem, is this feature may be canceled or reduce?, because it is annoying to talk and other person says that don't hear anything if a move a little...

    On my 9860 (also in the OS7.1 range), I have no trouble connecting to my WAP on Channel 11 (the clearest channel in my neighborhood). While I've not tried Channel 13 specifically, I know I can connect to other than Channel 1. So, some further description beyond "can not connect to it" might help us guess better for you. For instance, did you completely remove the WiFi configuration on the BB, recreating it from scratch each time you shifted channels on the WAP? If not, then that would be advised...along with perhaps a Batt-pull reboot at certain points (e.g., remove Wifi config, Batt Pull, configure WiFi on BB).

    Unless you are in speakerphone mode, this might well be normal. The microphone is designed to filter out ambient noise, and moving away from it would start to blend your voice into the ambient noises, which could be subject to then being filtered out.
