Iphone 5 in saltwater

hey, yesterday (thursday, 4th) at the beach I was using my jetski, I had my iPhone fully working in a sealed container inside the jetski, so I grabbed my iPhone and put it on my pocket and an aunt started jelling at me, I got distracted (don't blame me), the waves were moving from side to side the jet ski, then I had to go down to put the jetski in a pocision that it won't move, that's when my iPhone wet wet, I noticed it because it started to vibrate desperately, so I went running inside my house and put it on a dry rice bowl, after 5 hours my dad grabbed the phone and put it on a drawer, I noticed that on this morning (friday, 5th) and again put it on rice, my parents told me that back in the city someone will fix it, so I took it out of the rice. About an hour ago i put it on rice again.
my errors:
grab iphone to the beach
try to turn it on (my dad tried this)
the rice container was from glass, i put it in the sun an the iphone was burning itself.
I had a 4 months old iphone in perfectly conditions without a single scratch and in less than 10 seconds in my pocket it was screwed up..
Don't be mad at me i'm just 14 years old
what can I do now, wait? get it repaired$$$? or wait more than a month for insurance coverage?

Yes, it is your fault for taking a piece of electronics out on a jetski. We all make mistakes. Learning to take responsiblity for them is part of becoming an adult.
Salt water is about the worst thing that can happen to electronics. Even if it had been plain water, you would have need to have left it in rice for a couple of days. However, the rice won't do any good with salt water. The phone will not work again. You will need to either pay for an out of warranty replacement (see your local Apple Store) or persue whatever claim you can through your insurance.

Hello,
recently I have been on holiday and accidentally took my phone with me for a swim for about 20mins. Being on holiday I didn't have any tools handy so the only thing i could do is put it in a bag of rice and hope for the best. The same day i got hold of a screwdriver and removed the two screws but the display wouldn't come of so I left it at that and the next morning I found out that the display has been pushed away by the battery that has deformed. i then removed the battery and left it at that for 4 days now. Is there any hope that i could recover my phone and what should I do ?

Saltwater after it evaporates leaves salts in the device that will erode it away to nothing. Get it exchanged. There is nothing you can do to save it. If you have insurance (not warranty) for your home and/or car you might contact your agent to determine if it would be covered under your policy.

IPhone 6 Submerged in Saltwater

So I went out in the salt water at my town beach and I had my Silver 64GB iPhone 6 in my shorts pocket and next thing you know I tripped over a rock or something and quite a bit of my iPhone got submerged. When I took it out of my pocket I noticed part of my screen just suddenly went white and the rest was black. Any ideas as to what to do to? Hopefully putting it in rice for 24 hours will resolve the issue.

If it was salt water the phone is dead. You should be eligible for an out of warranty replacement for $299, as long as the phone was never jailbroken or opened.

You're talking about the logic board. The two most likely things to get toasted, with water damage, are the battery(it shorts out), & the logic board. The worst water damage would be salt water. I'm afraid your logic board is toast.

No, you would have to send it to someone you know in the USA and have them take it to any AppleStore and do an out-of-warranty replacement for $199 USD. Apple will not accept a shipment from your and the warranty is not international.
You can take it to a 3rd party repair shop and have them open it and clean it. But you need to do it quicly saltwater will very quickly damage the components without that phone.

IPhone 5S Voice Memos

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with the voice memos.
I am using an iPhone 5S -> iOS7, back up from iPhone 4S (the voice memos were recorded in iPhone 4S).
Previously, my iPhone 4S had the same problem too.
The voice memos can't be found in the iPhone VoiceMemo app, but it can be seen from iTunes > On this iPhone > Voice Memos playlist.
The memos are greyed out in iTunes, but can be played.
Also, the checkbox in iTunes > Music > Include Voice Memos is unchecked.
Someone please teach me how to remove all the voice memos in my iPhone 5S and also from the iTunes.

IS there a way to get a schedule view of events on a busy day in iCal on the iPad 2 Air and on the Macbook Pro? I can get this view on an iPhone.

I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks) or share some of my personal information (scanned copies of my birth certificate, passport, certificates, photos, etc.) on the web.
If you put your info into the computer and hand it to another, you have to assume they will copy everything.
Why are you putting scanned copies of valuable identity information into a computer than can be hacked, stolen, lost or compromised by a dirty tech?

No. The tech would just deny it if he did, or tell the truth which the answer would be "NO" in either case.
The employer won't ask that sort of questions without solid proof, less they make a enemy of the employee and/or risk being sued for defamation of character.

If it's iTunes music, it has your personal ID embedded into the song files. Most IT techs know this though.

Take your personal info out of the machine and if you need it, burn cd/dvd copies, a few USB thumb drives, Iron Keys or self encrypting external storage drives with key and/or keypad.

I want to use same icloud account on 2 iphones. The problem is with contacts, each iphone use different contacts and if I sync both phones with same account contacts mixes and is added from phone 1 in phone 2 and vice versa.
It is an option to separate the contacts and get them to each phone separately?

One iPhone can do it all.
This is a very usual case if someone has a personal phone number and a business phone number. This is done for a number of reasons, including having a separate bill for the business number and so you can avoid taking calls on the business phone when you are technically "unavailable".
Besides the group idea, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having two separate iCloud accounts for one's personal and business use. Just as with the phone number, the email contacts, email account, calendar, etc. can all be kept separate.

IPhone 3G no longer recognized by iTunes

I don't know what happened. I haven't changed any settings on my pc. I updated my phone software to 4.0.2 last week with no apparent problems. I think I've charged on my pc since but can't remember for sure. Now when I hook to usb, it goes on and off. Like not the power, but it (the iphone) will connect and show charging and I get the windows message that the apple camera is connected and what do i want to do. then it blinks off, like shows my welcome screen, not charging. then a few seconds later it shows up again and shows to be charging. it goes through this over and over. And iTunes does not recognize the iphone, says an error occurred.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Perhaps a failing USB port (check with another device) or a failing iPhone docking cable. Could also be some debris in your docking port on the phone - have a look.

My question is simple and I'd like an exactly same answer : Can iPhone users send emails from their iPhone's to one or more groups created in Outlook?
This is my situation: our organization is using iPhone to provide email, calendar, contact, task etc. to some of their employees. We are using Airwatch MDM Agent on user's iPhone because we have an Airwatch server in place. I have an user and she has an iPhone 5 and she has created some groups in Outlook but these groups are not reflected in her Contacts in the iPhone. I have update her phone with the latest update, although I was almost sure that this was not the issue, then I've found some interesting posts on internet saying that this was a known problem for the users with the previous iOS but I thought this might has been corrected with the iOS, apparently not.
Also I've tried ''the trick'' that is posted on several forums with the iCloud but neither so it's working. I am looking for a straight answer, if this works or not on iPhone's?

I agree, unplug and replug your router, then reset your iPad by holding down the sleep and home buttons, ignore the red power down slider, and wait til you see the silver apple. let it reboot and then try your connection.
Chances are rebooting the router will help. You may also need to talk to cox. They may need to reset something on their end.

I talked with a tech today and he said I cloud is having problems which should be resolved shortly.
In the mean time I used the .me smtp server settings which allowed me to send mail.
