IPhone 5 ios 6.1 siri bug with headphone

Hello,
I noticed today that after I updated to IOS 6.1 siri no longer works when I use a headphone and have the phone in my pocket. If I initiate siri using the headphone button, it beeps for me to speak then immediately beeps to indicate siri is no longer active. It works if the phone is out of my pocket. Perhaps there is a bug with the proximitiy sensor that turns off siri? Can anyone confirm this and if so, how can I submit this as a bug to apple?

Same thing happens to me. It's happening because using the headset activates the siri button, then your leg touches the button immediately dismissing or quitting siri. The only solution I know of is to turn the screen of your phone away from your leg while the phone is in your pocket.

on the first version of iOS 7 and the most recent update (iOS 7.02) siri refers to me as tiffany every so often but is now more frequent than before. And before iOS 7 came out, siri was much better in general, for it will not recognize speech as easily as before. Siri works with headphones but not without headphones

Ever since I installed iOS 7, Siri has not work through the microphone, only with the headphones. I have checked everything. The microphone works fine with the phone, but not with Siri. This has to be a bug in iOS7. Cany anyone heklp with this issue. If so please respond

After iOS 5.0.1 problem with headphones

Hi,
i have an iphone 3GS. After i have upgrade it to iOS 5.0.1 the button for raise the volume or to stop the music that i'm hearing on my apple headphone don't work.
The same button on the headphone when i attach it to my MBP work regularly.

dear apple im gonna smash my iphone 4s!! what a rubbish! reception is totally awfull. Im on O2 UK and my reception goes from four to one too often. I thought you have sorted the antenna issues! how can I have full reception, and then it drops to one or loses reception completely??? Wish I kept my 3gs.
Im gonna ask for refund if u dont sort out the issue, which I hope is software related. Does anyone have the same issues?
Secondly, why did you remove the option to turn off 3G and stay on edge. Used to have so solid reception with it turned off on my 3gs. Serious shame on you apple!

IPhone iOS 4 high CPU bug and work around

Using activity monitor app, frequently I notice that the System CPU usage won't drop below 10% with total usage ranging from 15 to 20% (idle never goes above 90%). Closing apps doesn't recover from this state, neither does turning off services, WiFi or 3G. The only thing that works (other than restarting the phone) is to turn on airplane mode for about 10 seconds and then turn it off. The System CPU usage will still be high while in airplane mode, but will drop down to about 2% (6% total) after turning airplane mode off and idle will stay above 90% at that point.
I've tried all combinations of turning WiFi, 3G, location services, etc off and on, but only turning airplane mode on and off works.
I've done a full restore and it still happens. I have no idea what the trigger is. It doesn't seem to be based on what apps are or were running because I've had it happen overnight when not running any apps. It might be based on mail or something, but killing the mail app doesn't fix it. Only turning airplane mode on and off does.
Letting the System CPU hover around 10% instead of 3% causes a noticeable drop in battery life. This needs to be fixed.

I have the same problem, and it was the same even for previous versions of iPhone OS. I don't think it's a time zone issue, as I am living in Norway and the reports here are the same from various locations.
However, I think I might have found a workaround for this problem. Normally I have my mail, contacts and calendar synced via Exchange. When I in addition to syncing with Exchange select "Sync contacts with Outlook" in the "info" tab in iTunes on my computer, the dates appear to be transferred correctly. But then again, this gives me several contact groups on my iPhone, whilst I really only want and need one group, the Exchange contacts. Anyway, the contacts appear only once when I select the "group" all contacts on my iPhone.
Hope this can be of any help until the bug is fixed.

After updating to iOS 8.3 on my iPhone 6, Blu Logic bluetooth calls with a charging phone in my car do not go through the car's speakers. Siri's message now adds, "....calling _______on speaker."

Blu Logic bluetooth calls using "Hey, Sir" do not go through my car's speakers since updating to iOS 8.3. They are routed through the iPhone 6 speaker after Siri says, "....calling ________ on speaker." The "on speaker" term was never used before. The Blu Logic bluetooth unit is an aftermarket device installed in a 2005 Buick LaCrosse. It worked perfectly until the iOS 8.3 update.

Blu Logic seems to keep a virtually invisible support presence on the internet. I did return to the aftermarket installer of the unit. He told me pretty much the same as you. Apple expects the equip. manufacturers to keep up with iOS. It's a bit of a Catch-22. Perhaps iOS 9 will exterminate the bugs!!
In the meantime, the only thing I've really lost is hands-free dialing for bluetooth calls in my car.

Siri on Iphone 5 only works with headphones

I have an iPhone 5 64 gig gsm, factory unlocked phone. Siri only works with headphones or when you use raise to speak. When I attempt to use it without it doesn't seem to hear me. I read a few threads on the subject and it seems this is a known issue. Most of the time the threads end when someone finds a solution without the solution being disclosed. Apps like Soundhound and Shazam seem to work fine so it appears the issue is software related. I have notice Apple texting does not work with the mic either. This is a very strange problem and I would appreciate any help you can give me as my iPhone is no longer in warranty.

Thanks for the question. It sounds like you may have a hardware issue with one of your microphones on the iPhone (three in total). To help isolate the issue to software or hardware, it may be best to back up and restore your iPhone to factory settings. However, before doing so let's first try a simple restart/reset of your device:

I had the same issue until I updated my apps through iTunes. I had over 100 updates, but none of them showed on my iPod. After they updated everything started syncing like it is supposed. Go to the apps library and check for updates. After everything syncs leave your iPhone/ipod/ipad connected if the spinning arrows at the top is still spinning. It means that things are still being added. If you go to settings > general > about, you will see it loading songs, videos, photos, etc. If you back out of "about" and then go back to it you will see the numbers for each one change.

If you are having issues deleting a specific message from an iMessage conversation (not seeing the Trash icon), you may want to double-check that you are following the steps outlined in the following article:
How do I delete a message?
To delete a message, tap and hold the message bubble, then tap More.
Tap Delete All to delete all the messages. Or tap to select the messages you want to delete, then tap .
After you delete a message, you can recover it only by restoring from a backup.

If you can find an iPhone running iOS5 and those are the specs for iOS5, there is no reason it should not work.
If you want a more current version of iOS or a more current device, a Windows computer is always an option at significantly less cost.
Granted, there is no requirement to have a computer to use an iPhone.

I would think, Twins1995, that if we are having the problem, others are as well. Hopefully, Apple will shortly issue a follow-up software release to fix the problem. Or is that just wishful thinking on my part.
It would be helpful, if there were some kind of work-around in the interim, so we can use our devices. Pretty frustrating when you consider that all of the hardware and software is produced by Apple.

After the 6.1 update my iPhone 4S will no longer connect with my car stereo (2012 Chevy Sonic). Until update, everything was working fine and I experienced no such issues. I have tried deleting my phone from my stereo memory and re-pairing, but I get a pair unsuccessful error on my iPhone; I have been able to pair a pre-6.1 iPhone successfully after discovering the problem. Has anyone found a workaround to this issue?
