Iphone 5 iOS 7 headphone output problem

Hi guys,
So the headphone output on my iPhone 5 isn't working properly. There is a lot of background noise and only outputs very quietly on one side. If you start at nothing and slowly turn up the volume then you can hear clear stages and clicks every time you go up by 1. Eventually when you reach the last orange / first red it jumps to an insanely loud level and distorts. The right hand side can be heard very quietly at this point and us distorted as well. Any ideas? The phone is about two a months old and has no visual damage.

If you are having Issues with downloading iOS 5....
Try temporarily disabling your firewall and antivirus software and try again...

Iphone 5 ios 6 text messaging problems

I just purchased a new Iphone 5 ios6 Everything seems to have gone smoothly however there is a major problem with test messaging. it is intermittent.
At times I can get or receive a text from either another Iphone or another android or non smart phone. Then the phone cannot receive texts and the phone will indicate a sent text and I can watch the send bar and it verifys in green that the message was sent yet the reciever says no message received. This occurs whether I am using wifi or the verizon network. I have tried this locally in the house over my wifi to my wifes phone or to my sons Iphone. It does not work. I have soft started using the on/off power and home button simultaneously for the required 10 seconds - no changes. i have reset network settings nope, I have shut off imessaging, I have deleted all text messages, then tried, nope. I have used siri, voice recognition, typing for the text messages, nope. I have sent pics and text pics only text only nope. I have talked to a verizon tech who reset the network on her end nope. ( then we lost the connection - this was a land line discussion while I was making the restart network on my iphone)
I do not know whether this is a verizon ios6 ihone 5 bug so if I do not get a resolution quickly verizon can take back the iphone 5 and pay me for the lost time and business. I had no problems with my other phones which were not iphones!!!!
ANyone have the same or similar problems and did you get a resolution.

Rus, I've had similar issues on my iPhone 5. I was having issues that some people on my contact list just weren't getting my texts. I could text them before I got the iPhone and they received them no problem but now it wouldn't go through. Like you the phone said it went through but they never received them. I could receive their texts and even if I replied to their texts, they didn't receive it. I could call them though. I contacted Verizon and Apple but they we no help. What I figured out on my own was that if I deleted their contact from my address book and added it back in fresh, the problem was solved. It's happened to me with 4 different people that were in my contacts already and I deleted them and added them back in and it works fine now. What I believe was happening was I came from a non-smartphone. To transfer my contacts over I downloaded Verizon's contact transfer app on my old phone and uploaded them to it. When my new iPhone 5 came in I downloaded the same app and used it to transfer my contacts to my new phone. I think some of them got corrupted for some reason during the process. I don't know for sure if this is what was happening but since non of the new contacts that I added in after I got the iPhone have any problems I'm guessing I'm right. My concern still is that I will continue to find people in my address book that wont' get my texts and I just won't know it for sure. Good luck!

Nokia E5 Speaker/Headphone Output Problem

Recently I upgraded the firmware version to my phone, from E5-00.2 TYPE RM-634 042-007 to 042-014, notice a speed improvements in general, but right now I notice that when I connect the headphones included with the phone, everytime I receive a call both speaker phone/headphones output sound, prior update that didnt happen, only the headphones output was active. Can you try to play a song using the speaker of the phone and check if you will still unable to hear any sound? Try to check if there's an available software update for your phone through Nokia Suite. To download Nokia Suite go to this link: http://www.nokia.com/global/support/nokia-suite/. To check for updates follow the steps below:
1. Connect your phone to your PC via USB cable.
2. On the Nokia Suite go to Tools then Software Updates.
3. If there will be no updates then you can try to reinstall your software by clicking "reinstall software version".
If the issue still persists, it is best to contact the nearest Nokia Care Point in your area for assessment and repair.

IPhone 4s iOs 6 data usage problems on Verizon

Last night around 6PM I lifted the usage controls on my teenage cousin's iphone 4s. We had never set a data limit for the phone because she only uses it for internet when at home on the wifi network. We only had it on her phone to be able to block unwanted numbers, but the feature also allows customers to set data caps, internet restrictions by age ect.
Prior to last night her usuage was minimal. However, within 6 hrs of the usuage control being lifted suddenly I was notified we'd hit 50% of our 6g data plan. In the morning when I woke up I had a text saying we'd hit 75% of our usage plan. I logged into Verizon and it indicated she had consumed 4.6g.
I spoke with Verizon and the first reprepresenative told me that this was a known iOs 6 issue for iphones and asked me to check if the phone was using the that operating system. She said if it was Verizon would be giving credits to customers because it was a known issue. I hung up, called my aunt and learned that in fact iOs 6 was installed. She also confirmed that the phone settings had not changed. It was still only using wifi. Verizon data usage remained turned off.
I called Verizon back and spoke with a second representative who then told me that it was not an iOs 6 issue, but just an iPhone 5 issue. She said the previous information given to me was incorrect; it was hardware and not operating system based problem. I then reapplied usage controls and went in to set a data limit, for the first time, and discovered that the iPhone's data usage had now reached 5.4g of 6g. I still have 18 days left on my billing cycle and just .6g of data remaining. It seems crazy to me that I should have to set a cap on data usage for a phone using wifi to prevent that phone from maxing out verizon data, but that is what I have done until I can get to the bottom of this
The rep told me to visit Apple for further details. I also googled it and found stories on CNN and TheNextWeb reporting instances where individuals with the iOs 6 on iphone 4s were also experiencing problems, but nothing concrete on how to resolve it.
Can someone please clarify for me what is going on or where I can find a solution to this.

The second rep is a moron. Yes it is a software issue and not just an iphone 5 one.
Something you didn't mention is what carrier software version is on the iphone. Verizon sent out a settings update around Oct 5th because of this issue. I believe you should be on 13.1. it's definitely something.1
I've heard talk if you go Settings-General-About it will OTA load the update but I'm not certain about this. Frankly I would wipe the phone and set it up new. During the restore iTunes should check that the software is up to date and find the carrier updates. Make sure your cousin has all her photos, contacts etc. And warn her that she'll lose her texts. Although I have heard if you google around someone figured out how to erase everything but backups from an iTunes backup file. That was for iOS 5 as I recall but it might still work. So have her do a backup in iTunes, duplicate it and play if you feel techie enough.

Dock VGA iPhone 4 iOS 4.3.3 problem?

A week ago i'd adquire the Dock VGA adapter (genuine from apple), but when i use it, the image sometimes appears on the screen and sometimes not. I don't know if this problem happens because of a iOS version trouble (4.3.3 in this case) or my iDevice's connector fails (in this case it's an iPhone 4). This same adapter was tested on a Ipad and works fine. i Have my iPhone since one month, i'd buy it on Movistar Chile.
Did somebody test this adapter with the 4.3.3 iOS version?

App data is part of the iTunes backup.
You can't backup to icloud because you need IOS 5.0 or higher to do so.

Headphone output problems after upgrade

Sine I upgraded to Snow Leopard about a week ago every day or so the sound to my external speakers stops working. When I go into Sound Output preferences I find that the Headphones option is unselected. When I select it the sound starts until next time. This occurs when restarting my MacBook but also when the system is running, but I'm not aware of doing anything that would cause it. It also occurred before and after the recent OS update a couple of days ago. Is there a way to fix the problem of Headphones becoming unselected??

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Iphone 4 iOS 6.1.3 Problem..

I need help. My iphone 4 just auto reboots and stops at apple logo. Then my screen turned Gray. I turned it off for 1 hour. After an hour I opened it. It showed some texts/codes like Debugger message panic. Then the screen became White. I tried to restore it on iTunes but when it was restoring it auto reboots and says that it cannot be restored. Someone I have some screen shots of what happened. I hope someone can help me here.

Background: I recently (December) bought an ipad and set up icloud for contacts and calendar, but NOT mail. My email provider is Verizon. I use computer, iphone, and ipad to check my email; eventually I download it from the server using Outlook on the computer and then delete any remaining emails from the phone and ipad. I can't find info on this problem anywhere.

It sounds like your iPad all of a sudden seems to be restarting out of no where. If you haven't called AppleCare yet, I would start with quitting either the app that seems to be causing the issue, or all the apps if a single doesn't seem to be the culprit.
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

The following peocess corrects the calendar entry:
edit the contact & change the birthday, save the change; edit the contact & change the birthday to the correct value, save the change again. The calendar entry then displays on the correct date. Alternatively as a temp solution I can just de-select the "birthdays" calendar which stops the icon being displayed.

Assuming you're creating this event to place in your calendar, and assuming this calendar is shared with your iMac and iPad using iCloud, might the calendar be restricted on your iPhone?
Check Settings > General > Restrictions
