IPhone 5 is always "Searching..."?

Hi, I am new to the forums and new to the iPhone. I have been nothing but pleased with the performance and capabilities of the device, though this one slip-up has me a little frustrated.
I first noticed it about a month and a half ago. My cellular signal dropped off and was Searching..., I did what I've always done with devices and turned cellular usage on and off, airplane mode off and on, and the phone off and on, and then hard resets. This thing would just not budge, always the Searching... Nothing happened to the phone: it didn't get wet, hasn't been dropped since I've had it, and nothing hit it; just all of a sudden started acting up.
When I went to the Apple Store the first time the man at the door had me do a Network Reset and it worked perfectly...for a couple days, and then it was back. So I tried to wipe the phone and reinstall everything from my computer with iTunes and it worked perfectly...for a couple days, then it went back to Searching...
When I updated to 6.0.2 the same thing happened: it worked fine for a couple days, then it did it again. The symptoms seem to be it drops off for a day, then over night it recovers. But this time is different, it has been doing it for two days now, and I have a week long trip coming up where I will need my phone.
So, any ideas? I scheduled an appointment with the genius bar this week, but just thought I would ping the rest of the world first. Is it software? I have a feeling it's hardware related, but that doesn't explain why it works intermittently, because when it does have a signal it works flawlessly.
Picture attached will show the "Searching..." in the top left corner. Phone works fine besides not being able to get to cellular. I guess I should also say that there is no problem with WiFi while it's Searching..., I have not had a problem with WiFi in any capacity. I use AT&T.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).
Has any of this been tried?

I already tried the article that have suggested about

but it doesn't solve the problem. I even tried to restore to factory setting and replacing the antenna but still the same problem " always searching for network". I referred this problem on 2 repair shop but they said it related to motherboard. Is there service center for apple in Singapore or Philippines? What would be best thing to do for my current iphone?

IPhone 5 always "searching"

I'm having the same problem. My iPhone 5 has been "searching" for 24 hours. During that time, I've flown to different states with someone else who has an iPhone 5 with Verizon and who has not experienced any issues at all. Given that, location can be eliminated as the potential trouble. I checked the bill...all current and paid there. The phone hasn't been damaged, dropped, or exposed to any type of trauma. I've tried reseting the network settings, restarting several times, and ejecting the sim card with no success. My iPhone is still "searching." Any advice, Verizon?

I'm sorry to hear you have been having trouble getting service. If you've been traveling I'm sure the last thing you want is to be without service. Let's get that working for you again! I would concur with your determination that it is not location specific. The fact that you have been in multiple locations with someone else that has no issues makes that pretty clear. As you mentioned that you checked the account and there are no issues there that brings us to the device.
Have you had any other trouble with this iPhone? Do you have any kind of case on the device? If so, could you remove the case and powercycle the device. Does service return when you power back on or does it still search for service with the case removed? You mentioned you "reset network settings," you can also "reset all settings" without it deleting anything from your phone. If the problem is still taking place once you do that I would replace the sim card. I know you have been traveling, you can find a store near you here: http://vz.to/1aDzA92 .

IPhone 4 always searching for Network even if there is NO SIM inserted

I am facing trouble in activating my iPhone after restore. I am trying all possible reason to find out few things:
1. After restore my iPhone 4 is asking to connect iTune and when I am connecting it fails and says "There is some prblem with your iPhone". I think I can activate the phone over WIFI network but it never reach till that page. It goes to Language>Country>Connect to iTune and then it fails.
2. Even if I remove my SIM from iPhone, it is still searching the Network and doesn't understand and notify that "NO SIM".
My iPhone fell once and it was all fine but it asked me to reset the phone and I did...since that time I nevet been able to activate my iPhone but rest of everything is just fine and there is no physical hardware damage to the phone.
Also, I am based at Saudi Arabia and we dond't have Apple Store / Genius Bars to visit.

I do have an avtive SIM and it is Post Paid Connection which is activated and no problem with SIM.
I have to try only activating only by connecting to iTune as my iPhone asked so and it doesn't leave any option for me. Once I do that it is showing me the error attached to this post.

My iphone 3GS 8GB is always searching or out of service, and I cannot make any phone call. If I use may chip phone in another telephone it works perfectly. I've already: downloaded the last ios version and change the chip in the communication company.

Should have stayed away from 6.1.3. I have a 3gs still on 4.3.3 and no issues. There is tons of info on this update being majorly flawed. You confirmed my hesistancy about upgrading.

Same with Bluetooth, as long as you're looking at the screen, it will be searching. As soon as you exit the screen it stops, so quit looking at that screen. You know your refrigerator light? You open the door and it's on...trust me, close the door & the light goes off .

What type of Bluetooth devices are you referring to? Are those devices set as discoverable?

Look at the status bar and the bottom of the summary page, what is taking up space?
Then manage the content on the device.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the iPhone is searchiong for a network. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. There are a few steps listed in this article you did not mention trying, they may be able to help the issue.
If you see No Service in the status bar of your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Calls from my iPhone 5 always show up as Private or Blocked when I call someone else. (My ID is normal when I text them though.) I've looked but can't find anything in the phone Settings that would fix this. Am I missing it or is there a bigger problem?

Iphone 3.0 Search Oddities

Why is the iphone 3.0 search option finding emails I deleted months ago. When I do a search for any emails from my contacts it shows me old emails that I got from them at least 2 or 3 months ago that I deleted. It's even finding spam emails that I deleted as well. Anyone know why this is happening?

Yes I have the same issue. GMAIL deleted messages (as in permanently deleted, no longer in the trash folder), not on server or on iPhone are found in Search... When I select them in search, they come up as though they were within my mail application. I try to delete them again and sometimes it works, sometimes they still show up in search and nowhere else (not in trash, not in folder, not anywhere!). Clearly, they are being stored somewhere in the iPhone and come up in search-- but are available nowhere else.

Bought 4th Gen 3TB TC - streaming TV over the internet is now so slow and now is constantly buffering. It seems the Airport Utility is always 'searching for new networks' - don't know if this is the problem. It's not the internet speed as checked that.

I took my old router upstairs and was streaming TV via my ipad seamlessly - the same program via the TC was constantly buffering.
I just expected to be able to plug in the TC, so a simple set-up and experience wireless both upstairs and downstairs in my house. For some reason the range is low and speed veru disappointing.
I am far from being an IT expert but I would welcome advice about setting up this TC so we can enjoy the product as it was designed. Please HELP!

No silver bullet........but my suggestions may drive you in the right direction.
1. Unplug the power cable from the TC and wait 10-15 minutes before powering back up.   Seriously wait!
      Proceed to #2 if this dosen't help.
2. Unplug the power cable from the TC, ubplug the power cable from your Broadband Modem (assuming it's a cable modem), disconnect ethernet, and cable from modem.
2a. Wait 10-15 minutes then re-connect cable, ethernet, and power back to modem (your modem should power up unless you have a power switch) wait for all the modem lights to come on EXCEPT activity.
2b. Connect ethernet from modem to TC, and plug in the power cable to TC.
      Proceed to #3 if this dosen't help.

All really simple to do....if you need additional help let me (us) know.
