Iphone 5 Lock button Broken! Will i get it replaced?

So my iphone 5 lock button started to only work on the left side about 2 months ago.
My nearest apple store is quite far away so o decided to cope with the issue. But not the button does not work at all, it has no click spund and is just broken all together.
If i travel down to my nearest apple store will i get a replacement? Need to know since the journey alone will cost me a lot of money so i do not want to waste my time.

If the Apple Genius find evidence of misuse or dropping as IW has said it will not be covered by the warranty
They do not make it up ,if iPhone 5 is pristine and no evidence of damage it will be replaced under warranty
UK Apple Stores are very fair in my experience
Make sure you back it up ,if you can as the iPhone will be replaced not repaired

There is nothing you can do as you won't be able to reset the device.
You can wait until the battery goes flat then try connecting it to power so it restarts. If the same issue occours then you'll need to restore it on iTunes by entering recovery mode.

I still have a few days left of my one year warranty, so if I went to the Apple Store would they fix/replace my phone for free or would I have to pay? Also, I was having issues with my speakers previously so I went to get it fixed and they said my phone has water damage and I would need to pay to fix it. Will the water damage effect them fixing my lock button too or is it different? Any advice/guidence is greatly appreciated!

If there is water damage then they will likely conclude that your issues are a result of that and you will have to pay.
But don't ask us, ask them. We're users and this have no idea what Apple will say in your case.

Restore iPhone with current iTunes on computer. See if better. If not, make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send to Apple for resolution under Warranty. Until then use Assistive Touch, tap Settings App > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > ON > tap new white screen button > Device > Lock. This can even turn OFF iPhone, to turn ON connect to power, charger or USB of computer.

the battery was above 60% and I have it charging for 15mins.
I checked the cable and it works with my friends phone.
I cannot hold the lock button and home button(lock button broken)

There's really no way for any of us here to know one way or the other. You will have to take it to Apple and they will tell you whether they consider it covered under your warranty or not.

you could (once the phone has dried out and you hav waited a few days and are game to turn it on) go to settings/general/accessibility and turn on assistive touch. A little button will appar on the screen and you can drag it around if it gets in the way. If you tap on the button then tap on device then hold the little padlock for a while it will turn the phone for you

IPhone 5 lock button glitch

My iPhone 5's lock button keeps 'pressing itself' whilst I am using my phone. For example if I open my phone by pressing the home button, my phone will screen shot my home screen, as if I have also pressed the lock button which, of course, I haven't. Also, when I am using my phone it will just stop and go to the screen which says 'slide to power off', again as if I've held down the lock button. Is there a fix to this problem? Or will I get a replacement even though this is already a replacement phone? Help please.

The £25 charge is a support charge for iPhones out of free support, you should not be charged for requesting support for a recall issue however if you can stretch to get to an Apple Store it is worth it resolving any issues face to face rather than email or phone is just easier.

your phone will NOT be covered by warranty as it's clearly sustained accidental damage. You can have your phone replaced for $199 ($59 if you purchased AppleCare+). That's what Apple will offer.
You can try a 3rd party iPhone repair shop if you don't want your phone exchanged.

If the sleep wake button on your iPhone is unresponsive, first try and reset all setting by going to Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings.
If this does not resolve the problem, I would sound more like a hardware based issue.
I would recommend that you contact AppleCare so they can run further tests and diagnostics to help you solve your solution better.
If you can also access an Apple Store Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Center, that would be much better.
