Iphone 5 photos too dark

My photos seem too dark. Have tried photos with "auto", "on", and "off". All seem too dark.

its not the settings, my wife dropped it into the sink while washing hands.. The phone did not get soaked but it got a little wet. Waited a couple of days so it would totally dry out and started it up which it did with no problem. The only thing is that the screen is very dim, I tried the settings and its all the way up...
Thanks for your response, let me know if you know of anything else I can try..
thanx again

  • Photos too dark in PE 7

    I've recently updated from PE4 to PE7.
Photos I've uploaded to PE7 appear too dark. When I lighten them up they appear to light (underexposed) in
other Photo programs...including my old PE4. Same happens when I send the edited photos via email to others.
I'm using Vista 2 with all updates.

    Thank you for your message.
I take most of my photos with a Canon Rebel XT but I also use a
Canon SD1100IS but the result in PE 7 is the same.
    Always JPG format.
After taking the photos I download them to a 300MB internal Hard drive.
I then open PE 7 in the Quick edit mode. Before I make any adjustments
is when the photos show up dark. The photos usually (using PE 4 for
    instance) need very little adjustment.
To lighten the dark image in PE 7 I adjust using under "Lighting" the
slider "Lighten Shadows". I adjust that until it appears about right.
    Then I save it.
Now if I email that to someone and they look at it, it's too light...like
underexposed. It's the same after I've saved it and I open it in PE 4
or another photo editing program.... it's still too light.
The computer is a Dell XPS 420 with 3 GB of ram and an Intel
Core 2 Quad 2.4GB processor. Vista SP 2 is the operating system.
I was completely happy using PE 4 but decided it was time to update.
Thank you for attempting to help.

  • Exported photos too dark

When I export my files for print they are dark and dull and don't look anything like the screen. I have the quality set to 100 and the ppi to 300, exporting as a jpeg.  I took my disk to a professional printer and he stated he also found this problem with Lightroom and didn't find a resolution (I'm a PC).  Has anyone had this problem or know what I could try?

    Jim, first thank you!!!
The display profile is set for sRGB.  However, if this is not the best way to export photos from LR, what do you recommend?
I have done a multitude of comparisons from different sites from the internet regarding monitors calibrations with blacks, whites and gray scales and everything looks great (can see the differences in the whites, blacks and grays,etc)...but I will take my laptop into my office tomorrow and see if someone can help me with this.
Thank you again for your help!

  • IWeb Making my photos too dark! What the heck?!

Im using iWeb 08 for the first time on a new site.
I've processed all my shots in Adobe Lightroom and exported them as Jpegs in sRGB color space.
The jpegs look fine and are retaining the levels adjustments I've made on the original RAW files.
Then I add those Jpegs to iWeb and the photos seem to lose all the adjustments I dialed in to them and revert to what they looked like in the original RAW files!
How in the world could this be happening?
It's as if iWeb is stripping all my adjustments off of the Jpeg exports.
I dont see how this could be physically possible.
    Any ideas?

  • Projected photos too dark

We had a large audience (150+). Running iPhoto Slideshow we turned on the digital projector, but found that the projected photos were way darker than those displayed on the Powerbook screen. What could we have done to render the projected photos the same color and brightness???

I also have the same problem, which is very annoying, since all my colleagues (using a PC) show nice pictures and videos and mine are just not recognizable! The good display of the MacBook Pro can not compensate for such a flaw, as what counts is how your presentation looks like when you project it.
I have observed this problem many times with different projectors and Macs, so it is a general problem.
I changed the VGA color setting, as well as the projector contrast and brightness but it does not improve things much - objects from such as boxes, lines and text on color look normal, but any picture inserted into the presentation looks very dark and with low contrast (also true for videos). And the nice backgrounds in Keynote just do not look nice any more when you project them....
would be happy to hear some ideas or solutions if there are any

  • Photos too dark!

I just tried to print my first photo and the printed photo was much much darker than it appears on screen in Photoshop Elements. How do I correct this so that the printed photo appears approximately the same as the screen display? Thanks.

  • Photos now too dark/contrasty

After the update all my images are now way too dark! My screen is calibrated. Any ideas? Thanx for any help in advance.

You have to remember that the degree of darkness is in the eye of the beholder. My wife didn't consider the book photos too dark but she wasn't working the the images day in and day out. And, the number of users here who report that are not that large. So I can't call it a global problem quite yet. And this is a consumer oriented product and not a professional one. I don't know if Aperture has had similar problems with it's books. You might check over in its forum.
Also as a professional you might consider http://asukabook.com/ which cater to professional photographers only and you design and create the pages with Photoshop. Really outstanding books I've heard.

    Hello Life_Refactored,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that when printing from two different apps on your iPad that the color is not printing correctly.
We know the printer is working fine as you are able to successfully print the same photo from your computer and from Google Chrome on your iPad and the colors are correct. You didn’t mention where in your testing that you used the HP ePrint app. I would recommend contacting the app developers (Apple for the Photo app, and Adobe for the Photoshop Express App) about why the information being sent to the printer is not sending the correct color information and cutting off the borders.
I have included the iPad Contact Support page and the Photoshop Family Community page.

  • IPhone 6 video too dark

the video on iPhone 6 is far too dark. Compared to photo it's Much darker. Can't make out much in videos. Is it fixable?!

iPhone 6 plus video is dark compared to the pictures
Just a note that there was a topic about this started on October 2, 2014. I copied the subject line of that topic above. As of today that topic has had 11,946 views and 49 replies. Although this topic is about iPhone 6 and not iPhone 6 PLUS I'd suggest to any potential contributors to this topic consider posting to the earlier one that has more views. In any case I would encourage anyone reading this who has the same issue to post SOMEWHERE about it on this forum. If you are wondering what the fix is, there isn't one and if you get a replacement iPhone you will have the same issue as bendyy did above.
But please consider moving this conversation over to iPhone 6 plus video is dark compared to the pictures which was posted on Oct 2, 2014 by siddsv

  • Have Apple 5... Suddenly photos are coming out too dark and poor color....any ideas as to problem

Camera taking poor pictures....too dark, flash goes off but picture quality poor.  Just started this recently

Did you alrready try the general troubleshooting?
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

  • When I print out photo thru iPhoto, the result is too dark.

    Hi all,
I have a problem with printing a photo via iPhoto recently.
I remember when I used iPhoto 9 to print out some of my photos but at that moment the result was pretty OK to me.
However, I don't know exatly when but I guess it could be since I upgraded to iPhoto 10...
Everytime I tried to print out some of my photos from my iPhoto library, the result is way too dark than its original color.
I am using HP Photosmart device(C410ㅁ) with fuji photo papers.
I tried to change several options like color sync or printing quality but NO use!!
Strange thing is that if I use airprint with my iPhone or iPad, color level seems to be OK.
But again, iPhone airprint doesn't give any options to manage printing quality level, it couldn't mitigate my problem, either.
Is there anyone out there who has the same or similar problem just like me?
Please share your knowledge to solve this issues.
    Thanks in advance
    Luke.

What is the color profile of the photo?

    Hello Pushtheriver,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning iCloud storage issues:
    Get help using iCloud storage
    This may also help:
    Understanding iOS device capacity
You can sync and download many different types of content on your device. Some types of content (such as music and videos) typically take more space than others (such as notes and books). The amount of space taken by an app depends on the app's purpose; complex or graphically intense apps usually take more space than simpler apps.
If your device is near its capacity, you can remove some of the less used content to make room for more.
