IPhone 5 random reboots, won't power on etc.
Launch Day iPhone 5 (totally out of warranty). Replaced the battery myself after 600 full cycles on 2/5/14. Battery #2 worked great for 6 months then wouldn't hold a charge and died completely 9/14/14. Put original battery back in until battery #3 came. Wouldn't keep a charge and died. Presently, only one of the three batteries will make the phone turn on, and the phone randomly reboots and hovers between 3-11% and will not charge any higher. I have tried multiple official apple lightning cables and power blocks, updated the phone to ios 8, restored and set up as new to ios 8. don't know what else to try.
Anyone ever replace a battery, have this happen, or anything similar. I started to think it was crappy ebay and amazon batteries doing it, but all three batteries acting crazy ? not too sure now.
I should note that home, power, and volume buttons and touch screen work perfectly. I have checked as best of my ability to ensure that all connectors were seated properly inside the phone.

Apple does not sell any service parts to consumers. Any 'replacement' battery you used is either:
A) Counterfeit
B) Salvaged
C) Stolen
Therefore, I'm not surprised you've run into problems.
Additionally, this forum does not allow discussion of non-approved service methods. Therefore, I suggest you seek answers to this questions elsewhere.
Also, your iPhone is now no longer eligible for any kind of support from Apple because of the unauthorized modifications, so service or support for Apple, even for a fee, is not available.

Try holding both the on and off buttons(top and bottom of phone) at the same time and keep holding until the apple sign comes up then let go and wait, worth a try.

As far as I know you can't delete the primary email address for an iCloud account. It's assigned when the account is created. But your neighbor wouldn't have been able to get into your iCloud account without your Apple ID and password. Are you sure the account wasn't still on your phone when you gave it to him?
You could migrate a copy of your data to a new iCloud account but I would still be concerned that someone else was using my old account, which presumably still has your data in it.
I'm fairly certain that you're going to have to have iCloud support help you sort this one out as they may have the ability to make changes to an existing account that users can't. Make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it. If necessary, they should be able to contact iCloud support for you. -
After recently purchasing my iphone 4, I've found it randomly reboots. The screen seems to just break down (as in the pixels gradually disappear in mere seconds) and it reboots. Any suggestions?
YES YES YES! It JUST happened to me 1 minute ago for the second time. I just happened to have the time to hit the message board right away. I was listening to my iPhone and it just stopped at the end of a song, I looked down and saw the silver Apple logo.....THEN, after it rebooted, I went right into the iPod and started playing a song....at first I didn't hear any audio, I had to click around and jump into settings, then back into iPod, then selected a different song and the audio "clicked" on.

Ideas for an iPhone 3GS that won't power on
Okay so I should be getting an iPhone 3GS off eBay in a couple of days (Non-Jailbroken). I found it in the wrong catagory so I bidded straight away expecting to get a £50 bargain only to read the small print that it was sent to be unlocked and came back and stopped working. Obviously I couldn't cancel the bid so I just thought I'd wait and see if it was a simple fix, if not, I'll sell it on and probably get a bit more for it (in the right catagory)
So the question is, anyone have any ideas on how this could be fixed apart from possibly a hard reset?I had the same problem this morning. Well I plugged it into the wall charger and got the phone to come on but it says no service, battery at 6% and the screen indicates that I need to connect the phone to itunes, but when I go to connect it the phone doesn't come on... I have another iphone on the same plan that works fine so I know that my Verizon service is fine. It just appears that the phone won't hold a charge or connect to itunes for diagnostic. Any advice???

IPhone randomly reboots at end of song
This is very sporadic, but occasionally at the end of a song the iPhone will either stop playing requiring a reboot, or it reboots itself. Anyone else have this phenomenom going on?

I have a new IPhone 5c that won't power up. Was hooked to charger overnight and now, nothing.
Try resetting it: Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

My iphone would randomly power up and down after latest software update. now won't power on at all.
Anybody know why my iphone 5 would randomly power up and down after the lastest software upgrade, and now today, won't power on at all? the screen is now randomly showing the apple icon, but won't power on. This a fairly new phone. Any feedback is appreciated.

Settings>General>Accessibility>Reduce Motion>On
My software upgrade set this to off.

i mean that after i use my phone it won't go to a black screen after a few minutes...i guess maybe its called to 'sleep' but the screen stays bright...the light doesnt dim.

Please Help! My iPhone 4 won't power on!
iPhone 4, out of warranty coverage, won't power on.
1. It has about 60% battery before it dead, but suddenly it became black screen and not responsive (like powered off).
2. Whatever I did, like "holding the power button and home button together for 10-25 sec and then pressing the power button again" etc. it just won't power on, no Apple logo!
3. But I can seen the "emergancy call" screen when I plugged it with my laptop and it just told me "No Service" at the upper left corner (status bar of iPhone 4).
4. iTunes can see it, but only when it was in Recovery mode or DFU mode.
5. I also tried to restore it to factory settings in iTunes, but it always gives me an error with various error codes, like 2001, 2006, etc. I also tried restore it under Windows or Mac, but was out of luck too!
6. Finally I bought a iPhone 4 battery replacement and replaced the old one with the new one, but nothing changed as if it wasn't replaced its original battery.
7. It keeps rebooting at every 10 min or so when It was plugged into my laptop without any operations (pressing any buttons).
8. It can be "powered on" only when it was plugged into a computer. It will IMMEDIATELY be in "dead mode" as long as I disconnect it from the computer (like taking out a battery from an iPhone that is powered on)!
9. Everything worked fine before it dead, I don't know what happened to it! I am so frustrated!

I misread your original post "It keeps rebooting at every 10 min or so when It was plugged into my laptop".
I thought you had a boot loop problem, but you say "rebooting when plugged into laptop" this is not the typical boot loop problem, because you had the iPhone connected to laptop.
Connected by what, obvioulsy a USB Cable, Error 2006, is most often due to faulty USB Cable.
Clean that Dock Port Very Well especially with Isopropyll Alcohol, get a good USB Cable, try a different USB port on computer, or try a different computer. -
Lumia 800 (12070) won't power on - Infinite reboot...

I will explain my problem in 2 versions : 1 long, and 1 short.
Short version :
Phone :
Nokia Lumia 800 that I got sent by Nokia 2 weeks ago to replace my ex Lumia 800 which wasn't able to boot. (Different problem). Updated to the latest 1600.2487.8107.12070 version via Zune.
Problem :
Lumia 800 can't boot, it only vibrates and then turns off 0.5s after the operator screen pops. It does this in loop, random way, but sometimes it manages to boot. Whatsoever, it always turns off randomly, whenever, whatever I'm doing or not. Today it worked fine the half of the day, the other half was spent in rebooting.
At the beginning of the problem I was able to trying to boot it, holding the power button was making him reboot etc etc, but not anymore. Now, since today, holding the power button doesn't give any response. Only connecting it with a cable makes it reboot etc.
Symptoms :
Totally random, I can't even know if the battery status is real, sometimes it says empty but seconds later it says full. Was working fine before yesterday. Nokia Diagnostic Tool doesn't show the Full Charge Capacity neither the information improvements that other are talking about, I have the 1.13 version I think. It is like it is still the old version. And it isn't always the same, sometimes it turns off, sometimes it reboots, but in all cases it is sudden, without "goodbye".
Trying to stay in offline mode doesn't worked, without microsim neither, neither soft reset, neither charging all night, neither fully discharging, neither none of any tricks worked.
It is my 2nd Lumia 800, and the 2nd that cannot power on. I'm affraid to send it back again to a Nokia Care, because of the 2 week I will have to wait.
Anyone, solution, help ?
Long version :
This is my 2nd Lumia 800, the last one was rebooting in loop, then it got stuck at the "Bouygues Telecom" (french operator) screen. No way to charge it or boot it. Got replaced by sending to the Nokia Care in 2 weeks.
So they sent me this new Lumia 800, which I updated to the latest version : 1600.2487.8107.12070 with Zune of course.
Everything was working fine, until yesterday it suddently turned off while I was reading LeMonde app (french newspaper app). Note : No "goodbye", direct.
So I tried to turn it on, it vibrated one time, and once it got on the "Nokia" screen, it rebooted. Did this 3 times, then it booted properly.
Later in the evening, I entered again in "LeMonde" app and it did the same, except it rebooted much more before booting succefully.
I thought it was the app, so I uninstalled it, but it rebooted again while I was chatting, this time.
Then I thought it had something to do with the network, as I had read things like this on the web.
So I tried to stay in offline mode (Plane mode) and it seemed to work a moment, except that in the end it did the same, loop reboot.
I charged it to my PC to boot it, no way, loop reboot. I disconnected the cable, tried to turn it on, it worked.
But it always turn off or reboot after a while, may be minutes, hours, etc..
Today it worked fine until 1h pm, it turned off, tried rebooting, no way, connected to the pc, no way too, was rebooting in loop, 10mins later it booted while still connected. Then, around 7h pm it began to loop reboot again.
Now it is almost 11h pm and it still won't boot. It vibrates, the white "Bouygues Telecom" operator screen appears then it turns off (in 0.5s), and then it do the same, it never stops.
Note : Sometimes when I manage to boot it, it boot with the "in charge" indicator (the big one), but it isn't connected to any cable... Or sometimes it boot with the empty charge indicator (the big one) but then boot succefully and shows decent charge.
Note : Nokia Diagnostic Tool doens't show the full charge capacity, only voltage and current discharging, which is around 100mA, but can jump to + 200mA. Version of Diagnostic Tool is the 1.13 I think. Some on the web are talking about a new version with improved informations, but mine is still the old one, I can't understand why.
Anyone, solution, help ?

2 similar UNWANTED REBOOT problems I have had for the past weeks, and mostly very recently:
- in France, it randomly reboots, apparently more especially when I travel (mostly in high speed train, but also underground or once in a big mall). I suspect it's caused by the device looking for a new BTS or losing signal, but it's not consistent. Sometimes, it just loses signal and my phone stays on.
for this problem, I could not find any solution, similar bug, something to help. I live with it, which is quite annoying but not killing me
- this week-end I was abroad (UK). In the Eurostar I mechanically set it to airplane mode, to prevent the battery consuming network scanning process. When arrived, I have tried to deactivate the airplane mode and, well, each time I turned it off, the phone asks me for PIN but quickly reboots before I can enter the PIN. Tried it with and without Wi-Fi, charged, plugged, entering the PIN code very quickly, without SIM card, underwater... no way.
I should have roaming activated but I don't think that is the issue. I have tried to deactivate 'time auto-update' but that did not change. I could not modify to Edge or 3G, neither any other operator parameter because... well because you can't while in airplane mode.
well clearly I was lucky I switched to airplane mode, otherwise it looks like I would have suffered from constant reboot... (i could use mine in Wi-Fi)
But NOKIA, please explain/fix this !! -
My iPhone prompted me to download the latest version of iOS7. I did, and now my phone won't power on. It just shows an iTunes icon on a black screen. When I connect my phone to iTunes on my laptop, the only option it gives me is to restore my phone's factory settings. But won't this erase all my photos, contacts, etc? Any suggestions?
It's in recovery mode. You don't have a choice. You have to restore the phone. Anything that was on it is already gone.
If you've been backing up/syncing on a regular basis, you won't lose anything except what's changed since the last backup. -
My mac won't wake up from a sleep and I have to unplug it to reboot as the power button doesn't function as well. Any suggestions? Running Lion 10.7.4 and sending all reports in to Apple.

Update your profile (equipent, OSX, etc)
In Lion MS office2004 is not compatible, are you stIll using it?
Do the SMC RESET and do the PRAM reset. -
IPhone 6 random rebooting, running iOS 8.1.1
Hi this is driving me crazy. I just had the new phone for about 3 weeks, and now its failing on me. the random reboot become more frequent every single day. the first random reboot was right after i installed the newest update iOS 8.1.1, before then i encountered none of the rebooting problem. Now it reboot after about 30 mins of use, which is annoying, and it won't restart until you plug it to a computer and run iTunes.
Plz tell me whats going on here and provide me with some valid way to fix it.

I know everything could sync over wifi but the thing is it won't even open to let me put my passwords in. It was stuck at the apple logo while it go darker and bigger then flash back to a brighter and small apple logo.
I previously owned an iPhone 5s and it was updated till ios 8.1, everything is fine on that one. I also read other threads about how the older phone's backup may crash the phone, so I'm trying to set up as a new phone now.

earlier today, when I plugged my phone in to charge, it started with the usual symbol for charging, from a flat battery, then after having to step away for a short while, I pressed the on button and a white screen would appear, no icons etc.
I tried to do a restore, but with ios4 now out it insisted on that being installed, and it failed, there was an error message with a code, but it came and went to quickly, and now it won't power on at all.
Any ideas.Good news, after searching the support section, and finding these http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/#section_2 instructions about restarting, that got it back to the normal screen.
I wasn't planning to update the software straight away, but since I've got it now...
