Iphone 5 restored sim card not reading
Hello,
I restored my iPhone 5 recently since that it is not detecting sim card.
i tried with 4 different network sims still it is not reading.
i am sure it is not locked to any network and not i cloud locked
around 6 times i restored still no use.
e even I took it outside iphone repair shop, he said he will replace IC ....but still no use
can any help me

It sounds like your phone is broken. And now that you have had a non-Apple shop open it Apple won't help you.

The phone was originally locked to AT&T in the US and was hacked to allow it to be used on another network. Restoring the phone has re-locked it to AT&T.
AT&T does NOT unlock iPhones for any reason. You can't use that phone except on AT&T.

Activation requires a SIM card.
Activation issues are almost always the result of a device that has been hacked or jailbroken. If that is the case, no support can be provided here. -
I have unlocked my iphone and when tried to upgrade it, i got an error, so i restored it.But i was not able to activate my iphone 3gs now...it is showing a message like ' sim card not found'..please help me with this regard
Try popping out the SIM card and turn off the phone.
Pop in the SIM card once again and turn on the phone, make sure that the SIM card is placed and seated perfectly in the tray!

I bought iphone 3gs. Restored successful, but says your phone not support this sim card. Contact your carrier get supporting sim card. I have att simcard. I restored other iphones with no problem.
Have you gone to AT&T to get a replacement SIM card?

well I restored my iPhone and I try to activate it just with my iPhone and it said your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temorarily unavailable. So I tried doing it on iTunes and it said SIM card not installed help me please.

iphone 5c, 12.7 GB, version 8.1.1, after unlocking when i connect it to itunes w/ other sim, sim card not supported error registered,. i check it to IMEI and its unlock, but why icant use it? I try to restore to itunes and erase my iphone nothing works, what can i do?
How was the phone unlocked? Was it unlocked by your previous carrier? The only way to unlock your phone is to have your previous carrier unlock it for you.
If you phone was unlocked in any other way, this constitutes hacking or jailbreaking and your phone will not work with another sim card.
Get the phone unlocked properly by your carrier and there is no reason why it should not work. -

HELLO! I have a new issue.
I updated my carrier plan. It started in April 2012 and finished in April 2014. I got an iPhone 5S in that transaction, but my old iPhone 3GS works yet.
I want restore it to delete ALL DATA (it's so slow), but i'm not secure, usually the iPhones require a SIM Card to activate the phone. Really, it have a SIM Card, but isn't working, the carrier deactivated it and ever says: "No Service".
Should i restore it by iTunes to iOS 6.1.6?
Thank you!Your iPhone just needs to have a SIM in it in order for the restore to complete - the SIM does not need to be active. As long as it's present in the phone, the restore should complete unless there's another issue with the phone

Have a AT&T iphone 4 and it will not let me login to the iPhone without a sims card and if you use a AT&T sims card it won't work
Define "won't work"...
You can not activate an iPhone without a SIM. If the phone is carrier locked, you must have a valid Sim from the correct carrier.

Iphone 5 SIM card not installed or no service
Hi from lady few weeks I am having this problem where phone says SIM card not installed or no service. Turning the phone on and off does work but it happens at least ten times a day. I have got a new SIM card thinking its a problem with the SIM card.
But now I have noticed the moment I switch on to 3G mode from the settings it does the same thing.
Can anyone tell me is it the problem with the phone or my service carrier. I have been working iPhone for almost two years never had this problem before.

New iPhone with new SIM card - Retrieving data
My iPhone was stolen, so I had to buy a new one, so it's also a new SIM card. When I connected to iTunes, I thought it would ask me if I wanted to restore with my previous backed up data which would have also included all my contacts, notes, pictures, etc. It didn't. Is there any way to retrieve the backed up data from my old phone and sync it to my new phone?
Not sure why it didn't ask you to restore from a backup.
Plug in and open iTunes. Click on the iPhone under DEVICES. Click Restore. Let it restore to factory settings, and then wait for iTunes to prompt if you want to "Set Up as New iPhone" or "Restore from Backup."
