IPhone 5 running iOS 6.0.1 randomly crashing

running various apps. Tried restoring multiple time using new profiles each time still getting same results. Help? This is the second phone to do this. Took first phone back to Apple Store & got a new one. New one is doing exactly the same thing. Getting a lot of low memory messages in the crash logs along with some other Incident reports added in. Will not completely sync either from time to time and crashes while syncing. Ideas?

IPad 2 and iPhone running IOS 5.0.1 has wonky wireless

Both my iPad 2 and iPhone 3gs will not allow me to do normal browsing uisng wireless networking at home. I get an IP address via DHCP. I can browse my devices (swithes and router, printer) usng IP addresses. I can get to Google's web page using it's IP address(74.125.224.114). And I have no problems at the office. But, if I attept to open the iTunes, the App Store app, or Safari and browse a site by it's host name (www.google.com), I get a message that says I can't connect becuse I'm not connected to the Internet (if that is true then why can I get Google's home page via IP address???)
Now, at first this seemed to be an issue with my home network. Except, that both my wife's iPhone(a 3gs) and my daughter's iPhone (a 4) have NO problems. Nether do any of our PC's or latops. My iPhone USED to work just fine on our Home network.
The only thing I did was upgrade my IOS on my iPhone from 5.0 to 5.0.1. My iPad 2 came with IOS 5.0.1. Both my wife's and daughter's devices are running IOS 5.0. Our Laptops and PC's have no problems at all. The problems are with both my devices that are running IOS 5.0.1
So, there seems to be something in IOS 5.0.1 which does NOT agree with my home wireless network (again I have no problems with my work's Wireless network).
My network configuration.
One wireless router is a NetGear WGR614v4 (downstairs) and the other is a NetGear WPN824N (upstairs) connected to a Linksys SRW224 switch connecting to a Linksys E1000 router(wireless disabled) for internet access. All these devices are on the same subnet and I can ping each one.
Does this seem like an IOS 5.0.1 issue or is there something in my network I could try tweeking to get my IOS 5.0.1 devices to work and still allow my other devices to work???

So, my DNS is comming from my ISP. It's the same list of IP addresses for all our other devices that are working: 2 PC's 2 Laptops, a PS3 and a WII, an iPhone 3gs running IOS 5.0 and an iPhone 4 running IOS 5.0.
The ONLY two devices that are having issues are my iPhone 3gs running IOS 5.0.1 and my iPad 2 running IOS 5.0.1.
Soooooo, there is something incompatible with my ISP's DNS and IOS 5.0.1?

I lost all my bookmarks on my iPhone running IOS 6

This morning, I lost all my Bookmarks on my iPhone 5 running IOS 6. Bookmark folders are still there, but they are empty

The places.sqlite file stores the bookmarks and the history, so if you replace the current version with another copy then you lose all current bookmarks and history.
I don't know why you did restore that copy.
You can restore the bookmarks via one of the backups in the bookmarkbackups folder, but that will replace all the current bookmarks as well.
If you need to keep some then remove the others and export the bookmarks to an HTML file.
Then you can import this HTML file to merge those bookmarks.

IPhone running iOS 6.1.3 can't activate. Pls HELP

I got an iPhone 4 running iOS 6.1.3 and i go through the normal setup procedure: language>region>wifi>activation error. It gets to activation and it is an error after 5 seconds into activation. Is there any way of changing this as I am phoneless now? Pls help anybody.

Restoring photos only on iPhone running iOS 8.2

This is my first post/question, I've already looked everywhere but seems there's no valid way without a third party application involvement...
I'm trying to restore photos only from an iTunes (12.1.0.50) backup on a mac running OS X mavericks my iPhone 5 running iOS 8.2, please advise as my iPhone is struggling with space (64 Gigs, left only with less than a gig)

Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Appel logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not work, did you try to switch off Cellular Data, restart the phone and switch it back on again?

IPHONE 4 (IOS 7.1) KEEPS RANDOMLY REBOOTING AND CRASHING

OKAY SO I AM COMPLETELY LOST FOR OPTIONS AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO.
I HAVE AN IPHONE 4 THAT RESTARTS ALL THE TIME WHEN IM USING IT, ATLEAST 6-7 TIMES A DAY WITHOUT FAILURE.
I HAVE BEEN TROUBLESHOOTING THIS PROBLEM FOR A WHILE AND HAVE TRIED MANY THINGS BUT STILL HAVE NO LUCK
I HAVE CHANGED THE BATTERY (NOTHING CHANGED)
RESTORED, FACTORY RESET, DOWNGRADED FIRMEWARE (NONE OF THAT SOLVED ANYTHING)
I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS NOT A HARDWARE PROBLEM AND THERE MIGHT BE A BUG ON THE IOS 7.1 UPDATE WHICH MAKES THE PHONE CRASH AND REBOOT AS IT PLEASES.
DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THESE PROBLEMS AND IF SO HAVE YOU FOUND ANY WORKING SOLUTIONS? PLEASE HELP
I ALSO CHECKED MY DIAGNOSTICS LOG AND NOTICED THESE TWO ERRORS WERE QUITE FREQUENT IN IT. I HOPE THIS SHEDS SOME LIGHT ON WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE.

Yes...I have the same problem too after upgrading to ios 7.1..I end up buying an android phone yesterday..I am seriously frustated as i cant use my phone for the past couple of week. Everytime I open my camera it crashes...answered call and crashed....open email and crashed...trying to call someone and it crashed...and plenty of other occasion!!...*** iphone????
Things that I have done as below :-
1 - Delete email accounts - someone says that it solved the issue. - FAILED
2 - Restore the phone - FAILED
3 - Restore and use as new phone - FAILED

I had the same problem with mine. I got it replaced instantly. They said its a hardware issue.

Today one of our customer reported their DMVPN Hub got crashed, analyzing the crash file I found that it crashed due to
"Stack for process ACE HAPI running low" . The bug tool kit has a matching bug CSCsv77354 but the status is terminated since it is not re-producible. I dont know how shall we proceed further, shall we upgrade to SXJ IOS since this problem is not reported in that version.
May I know if any one has experienced similar crash.

Regarding the first question, you are correct. The WAN image provides support for WAN modules, but the LAN image does not. Since your current image is IP services based, you do want to use IP services with WAN and K9 in it. example:

As for your second question, if you upgrade to 12.2(18r)S1, it should be sufficient to run later images like SXJ and IOS 15 as well.
As for the last question, you can upgrade from the current image directly to SXJ with no issues as long as you have enough memory and flash space. There maybe some commands that you need to redo after the upgrade but nothing significant. Make sure to have a good backup of your config.

How to restore an iOS 7 backup, on an iPhone running iOS 6.1.4?

I was using iOS7, since tha release of the first beta version. Before sent my iPhone 5 to Apple for tech support i did a backup in iCloud. They returned me another phone, so I have an iOS 6.1.4 that doesn't allow me to restore iOS7 and I can't recover my data stored in the last backup. Anyone can help me? Thanks in advance!!!

ITunes 11.1.3 is painfully slow in updating music onto my iPhone running iOS 7.0.3

For some reason everytime I try to update my iPhone it takes forever to update and then usually freezes on the last step (waiting for changes to be applied). I;ve already restored my phone once and don't think that's really the proper solution.
Has anyone figured out a better fix for this?

I think I'm on to something. Are you missing other things from the Library in addition to music files? Do me a favor and do a cmd-i (Get Info) on the music/app/movie files you're missing. When iTunes asks you if you'd like to look for the file, answer No or Cancel - the info window should open.
At the bottom of the window, what does the "Location" say? Does it say:
file:///localhost/Users/username/.Trash/iTunes/...
That's the last "known" location of the missing files. In my case, the files were automatically moved to the user's Trash. If you haven't Emptied your Trash yet, the files might still be there. If you have Emptied your Trash, then the files are gone - but that means we have the same EXACT symptoms.

When looking at recent calls on my iPhone running iOS 7, how can I tell which number called me when a contact has multiple numbers listed?

I have an iPhone 5s and I am coming from an Android phone. On the Android phone, when looking at recent calls both the contact name and the number is displayed. On my iPhone I only see the contact name, in the case of contacts with multiple numbers attached how do I see which number the call came from?

My iPhone running iOS 7 automatically shuts all of my iCloud information. How can I fix that?

So recently, my phone has been losing my contacts on a regular basis. When I look at settings, it automatically has set it's self not to connect & sync with iCloud. When I turn it back on, I have to reset all of my specialized ringtones and vibrations. This problem can happen up to 3 times / day. I know the temporary fix of turn it back on, but I really don't want it to turn them off in the first place!! Any suggestions or help!?

Random crash and gyroscope problems (Iphone iOS 6.1)

Since the last iOS update (6.1). I have experienced a few problems with my Iphone 5.
First of all the day that i updated the iOS, i started getting random crashes.The screen dimmed and 2 or 3 yellow vertical lines appeared, and short after the Iphone restarted itself. The crash was happening mostly when opening the camera or any app that used the camera, but it will also restart by just browsing through the home screen (less likely). Then i noticed that some apps that use the gyroscope where locking up (like panorama 360), and a message telling me to restart the iphone because the gyro was locked up (i checked pressing home twice and the gyro wasn't locked). After the restart i worked for about 15 minutes, and the gyro would stuck up again (and the crashes were getting worse). I decided to do a factory recovery, and it solve most of the problems, but i still get 1 or 2 crashes everyday (maybe more, because i dont know if the cellphone restarts when it is in my pocket) (and it now doesnt restart by using the camera), and the gyroscope sometimes works fine, and very few times it stucks up, so i close the app that uses it, lock the gyro, give the phone a few shakes, put the gyro back on and it works again.
I'm trying to simulate the moments that the phone crashes or when the gyro stucks up, but i can't, it is just very random.
PD: The phone worked perfectly with iOS 6.0.1, could be a software problem? hardware problem?
PD2: i have used linpack to stress the phone but it doesnt crash or anything.

The last two day i haven't experienced crashes but sometimes the gyro stucks.

Iphone 5 Ios 6.1.4 brightness problem

I have a problem with my iphone 5 running ios 6.1.4
Randomly, sometimes when pushing the home button, or pressing the power button, the brightness of the screen goes all the way down to zero (dimly lit).
I have to go in to settings and tap the brightness to get it to back to full.
(the slider bar shows maximum even if the screen is dark - auto brightness is set to off)
I've read many posts about calibrating , using auto-brightness etc., but I have auto-brightness set to OFF, and the brightness set to maximum. That is the way I like it.
So any ideas whats going on? How to fix the issue. I repeat - I do not want to use auto-brightness, I simply want the iphone brightness to be set to maximum, at all times.

Your phone is inappropriately going into pre-autolock dimming. Try:
1. Reset phone (no data loss): press both power and home buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.
2. Restore in iTunes using a backup
3. Restore in iTunes as new, without a backup.
If #3 doesn't help, there is a hardware problem that needs warranty service.
