IPhone 5's will not connect to windows 7

Ok so i've been trying to figure this out for about 4 days now. This is my problem.
I bought a brand new iPhone 5s. When I connect it to my Windows 7 64bit computer it says the driver was not installed. I've tried just about everything to resolve the issue:
Used different USB cord
Uninstalled iTunes about 10 times
Tried to update the driver but gives a error message about the MTP USB Device
Tried fixing the MTP USB Device but didnt work
stop and start the Apple Moble Device service
Tried mannually installing the drivers, C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Mobile Device\Drivers but the folder does not exist
Triedto fix the registry with no help
Downloaded iTunes on a different computer and my phone worked fine. Other computer runs the same 64 bit windows 7 system
A iPhone 4 worked fine on my computer but no iPhone 5 seems to work.
I think this is everything I have tried.. so far

If possible try a different internet feed. if your using wireless try using your phones hotspot feature. change internet feeds then plug in the phone.

If you are still having problems after all those tips I would suggest trying another cable the one you have may be faulty. An iPhone cable is fine for sync, but wouldn't suggest it for charging. Other than that call apple support, log a problem, and most likely they will help you book a appointment at an apple store.
I use a win7 64x machine and have no problems so I doubt windows is your issue.
    Good luck.

And just in case... First... Try a Reset of the phone...
    Turn the Phone Off...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
    Usually takes about 10 - 15 Seconds...
    Turn the Phone On...

  • Iphone 4 will not connect to Windows 8 Laptop

I have an Iphone 4 and yesterday it connected no problem. The cord is fine, it works with the wall charger. I have reinstalled everything on my laptop, but it still won't connect/charge on my laptop. The laptop is extremely new, about 4 months old, so there's really no reason it shouldn't work. I'm ready to pull my hair out. As I said, it's not the cord, I'm not sure what else to do?

When you connect the iPhone to the computer, do you hear the sound of a USB device being connected? Go to the Device Manager and see if there is anything by any of the USB devices listed. Also, you can go into Task Manager and see if the Apple Mobile Device Service is started/running. One thing about the newer phones and the newer Windows laptops is they take longer to connect. I have noticed that with my Windows 7 device. Also, is the phone locked when you try to make the connection? Are they photos in the Camera Roll? Try unlocking the phone first and then connecting. See if the computer reacts better then.

  • My iPhone 4S Bluetooth will not connect with either my iPad1, MacBook Pro or Automobile BT.  Suspect a stack issue in new BT 4.0 (BTLE) release. Has any one discovered fix to this. I have tried this with two separate 4S phones and have same problem..

One further clarification. I am most concerned with connecting with BT in automobile. I can use WiFi to tether to my other devices.  I cannot change the car very easily! My iPhone 3G had no connection issues.

I'm new.  Same bluetooth problem. Will not pair with my 2010 VW GTI w NAV system, or my MacBook Pro 17" (just discovered the MacB prob.)
When I initially discovered the problem I went to an Apple Store. Genius was excellent but requested that I check with VW.  VW people were very helpful. A mechanic had an iphone 4s. He came out to the car ... He could not pair my phone but he could pair his phone ... So, it's the iphone ... Back to the Apple Store ... the genius was really good. He replaced the iphone. Great !  So, back out to the car & it would not pair, still.  So ... can't be the phone , right.  Back to VW. The Audi manager had an iphone 4S. He paired his phone with my car. He could not pair my phone to my car. He tries my phone in a new 2011 GTI sitting on the lot ... my phone pairs with it just fine.  So ... it's my car.  So ... make an appointment to get the bluetooth module replaced. They replace the Bluetooth module. My iphone will not pair.  They end up pairing 2 different iphone 4S to my car ... but not my iphone 4S. My iphone 4S will also not pair with another 2010 GTI they have in for service. Though the 2 iphone 4S
pair with the second GTI just fine.  They even try pairing my iphone with a brand new 2012 GTI in the showroom ... yep ... it paired fine.    So ... ????????????????
They are going to update my nav software next (tomorrow), Hopeful ??? not really ... Will be taking my computer to Apple Store next ... maybe if they can discover why it will not pair to my MacBook Pro it will lead to a solution for the GTI ???  I'll get back to you.

  • Suddenly today both my iphone and ipad will not connect to wifi.. I have never had any problems before.  Please help.  Should I reset all my settings?  Should I reset network settings?  What should I do?

my iphone and ipad will suddenly not connect to wifi....
    Never had any problems before?
Should are reset all my settings?
Should I reset all network settings?
    Please help!

With any wi-fi network or with your wi-fi network?
If your wi-fi network, try resetting the wireless router and modem. Disconnect the wireless router from the power source followed by disconnecting the modem from the power source. Wait a few minutes followed by re-connecting the modem to the power source and allow the modem to completely reset before re-connecting the wireless router to the power source and allow it to reset with the modem before trying again.

  • "The Problem" is IPOD will not connect to windows

I guess for those people that have not spent the last few days reading these posts I will add that "The Problem" that I am referring to in my previous post is the same one that everyone seems to be having. One of my IPODs was rendered absolutely useless by the new updater. (only one was updated) I believe that the com port on the IPOD is being "jammed" by the software update. I had never updated before and my two IPODS have worked flawlessly up to now. I believe that this fix will be the best for me because it basically cleans it back to factory state. I have read some old posts and feel that some of the older updaters have killed some IPODS in the past. I would suggest that if you decide to follow my previous post and restore. That you go back to the oldest updater that will provide all the functionality that you actually use. "If you do not feel comfortable taking the IPOD apart I am sure there are places that will do this for you.

  • Iphone 6 plus will not connect to itunes through my computer

Got the new Iphone 6 Plus and for some reason when I plug into computer (which should normally automatically start up iTunes) it does not!!!  Can anyone help me in setting this up.   I played around with it for some time, and it will opened up and I did manage to back up and sync the iphone 6+ & computer.  But it will not do it again.  I have the latest ITunes and have done a restart.  Any help out there???  Thanks

There might be reasons to use both methods:
Use iCloud and iTunes Backup together
For an extra level of backup for your data, you can use iCloud Backup and iTunes Backup together.
Using iCloud Backup doesn't disable iTunes Backup completely; it just turns off Automatic Backups via iTunes. You can trigger a manual iTunes Backup whenever you want to create a new one.
If you're using iCloud and iTunes Backup together and you want to speed up your iCloud Backup and restore, you can save iCloud storage by turning off iCloud Backup for very large data types. For example, in iOS 8 with iCloud Photo Library beta turned off (or in an earlier version of iOS), if you have a 15 GB photo library on your iPhone, you might not wish to back it up to iCloud because it's already being manually backed up to iTunes.

  • IPad will not connect to Windows 7

Hi, I am trying to connect my iPad (32 GB Wifi) to my Windows 7 machine. This is the same machine that I setup my iPad with and it has not been connected to any other machines. When I plug it into my computer with the USB cord, the iPad states that it is charging but when I open iTunes I do not see it. Also I do not see it in Windows Explorer. I tried the tests in iTunes and the connectivity ones fail. There doesn't seem to be any help on Apples site regarding this issue with the iPad. I only found guidance for the iPod.
Does anybody have any ideas as to what I can try to do now?

Hello, lanboyo, JC, and Utah Mike!
First--You may have done this, but have you tried the Five R's? Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, Restore.
If you have sucessfully done them with hardly any help, then let's keep going:
Second--You may have read this Apple aritcle before, but I'll link you to it anyway.

If it's showing up in My Computer as "F:IPOD" but not in the iTunes source list, check out this Apple article, and see if it helps.
