IPhone 5 screen wont turn on. (Need help or info, please and thank you.)

So i got an Iphone 5, and i accedently droped it in the sink. i took it out, whipped it off, i put it in my pocket and left it alone.
the next day the screen was not working, moments later, it(Iphon5) turned off. tried turnng it back on but it wouldnt work.
so, again i left it. everything still works, its just that the screen wont turn on, i could still play music snapshot stuff,
but my screen wont tun on.
I NEED HELP.

I don't beleive this is a known problem and you should probably bring your phone to a local Genius Bar (make an appointment here) as this is likely a hardware issue (a problem with your phone realizing that you removed it from your ear).
If you're willing to tinker with it a bit, you can determine if this is a software issue by backing up your iPhone (separately ensure your photos, videos and music is backed up) and then "Restore" your phone. If the restoration solves the problem, you're dealing with a software issue. If the problem still exists, you're almost definitely dealing with a hardware issue.

My iphone screen wont turn on after being replaced 3 times and all ribbons are connected properly

hello ,
i bought a iphone 3gs off my friend only to find multiple problems with the phone !!
i had to change the audio jack replace all buttons , replace the digitilizer and home button .
i did this all with no problems , the only problem i could not fix was the screen keep going blank while using the phone .
i replaced the screen and the problem still persisted , so im pretty sure there is a lose connection some where ,
i had a further look into the problem today only to find that when my friend previously changed the screen he has damaged the logic board where the lcd is connected which is undoubtably the reason for a lose connection .
how do i go about replacing the broken part ? or have i been bumped off and now have to replace the whole logic board ?

Try unplugging from the computer then pressing and holding the home button, while pressing home button plug it back into the computer and hold until an itunes symbol shows up. If after 60 seconds it doesn't show up try taking into an Apple store for replacement. If it does show up look in itunes and restore iphone.

Help with slideshow, please and thank you

My brother created a slideshow and sent me the link. I was able to download the slideshow to my desktop. Is there a way to individually move the pictures from the slideshow to an album in iPhoto? When I try moving the whole slideshow or individual pictures, I get an error msg. saying that the format is not recognized. Among other things, I want to print the individual pictures.

that would depend on how he created the slide show and what he sent. Is it a Quick time movie? With QT Pro you can save frames but the quality may not be good enough to print
I would pick the photos you want to print and request that he send high resolution copies of them to you

After reviewing your post, it sounds like you had one issue and then got a second trying to resolve the first. A frustrating situation for sure. Downgrade Lion/Mountain Lion to Snow Leopard
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer
      loads select your language and click on the Continue
      button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the
      Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the
      mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status
      of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then
      the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART
      info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on
      the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions
      from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS
      Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the
      partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on
      the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions. If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files.

After reviewing your post, the iPod is not recognized in iTunes. A frustrating situation to be sure. You haven't mentioned what OS the computer you are using uses. You can choose what article to use either OS X or Windows from this quoted section.

Iphone 4 battery HELP please and thank you

i have an iphone 4 and my battery was great but literally a few days ago it started acting up and now it dosent last long, the phone is only around 5-6 months since i got it and ive never had much problems with battery and i had everything on excpet bluetooth and diognostics and usage are off .... i did the restore brand new but the battery still drains pretty quick and i dont know what else to do, can someone help me fix this and get it back to normal please and thank you.

You have an app that is sending data or trying to send and failing. If you have an MS Exchange account delete it, reboot the phone, and add it back. If you have an iCloud account you probably have a corrupted calendar entry. Turn off calendar sync, sync the phone, then turn it back on. There are other possibilities; you will have to do some detective work if these don't fix it.

If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

You can use one of these to start Firefox in Safe mode:
*On Windows, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox with a double-click on the Firefox desktop shortcut

Need Help A.S.A.P. - Thank you all

Hi everyone, I'm back with yet another question and sorry if I'm not too clear but I'll do my best. I had a videographer shot a 2 minute clip with the Canon XH A1. I've asked how he shot and he stated that he did not change any of the default settings. First question is does anyone know the default settings for the Canon A1? I've imported it as a 1080i60 with a frame rate of 29.97. Not sure if thats right but I gave it a shot. Second thing, he wants me to export him an anamorphic dv with a 720x480 and a 16x9 widescreen. He also mentioned something about if I can make it an apple dv (not sure what that means).
Can anyone help me out with this situation? How can I export using final cut studio 2 and compressor. Do I have to change the sequence options in my final cut studio 2 before I export? I have changed some of the sequence options as I need to so I can deal with HD footage so if you need to know more specifics, I can give you all the details to the best of my ability.

The "default settings" typically means the settings that were last used for that camcorder. Basically, it means that it could be anything. If you have access to the camera, turn it on and go through the menus to see what those settings were/are. Once you've found out how it was shot, you'll know how to capture. If you don't have access to the camera, chastise the camera operator severely until he blushes with embarrassment for being such a schmuck. Then tell him to provide you with the information that he should have supplied in the first place. Lastly, never, ever use that camera operator again.
