IPhone 5 showing Storage Full while iCloud only half full...
Hi,
I am struggling to take photos or download apps as my iPhone says I am out of storage. I paid for iCloud and that is 1/2 full...I do not have that many apps yet what are my options, can I delete the photos from my photos app or will it remove them from my icloud too..

You need to regularly import your photos to your computer and delete them from your iPhone.

I paid for iCloud and that is 1/2 full.
Not really needed as likely most of the space is being used by your iCloud backup and most of that backup is likely the photos in your Camera Roll.
Make sure My Photo Stream is enabled.
Settings > Photos & Camera - My Photo Stream to On.
Regularly import the photos to your computer and turn off Photos from backing up to iCloud.
Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage > tap your iPhone name.
On the next screen under Backup Options, you can turn on/off items to include in the iCloud backup. Turn off Camera Roll.

IPad memory shows it's full - it was only half full when I last connected to iTunes
Since I bought my iPad 3 (64 GB) and connected it to iTunes, the memory used has, until today, been about half full. Today, when i connected the iPad to update the iOS software, it shows, suddenly, that I have less than 0.1 GB left, yet I've downloaded very little in the last week since it was last connected, and certainly no more than I usually do in any week. Any suggestions?
I suspect that your storage capacity is being taken up by "other". You can verify this by looking at the capacity bar in iTunes when your iPad is connected to your computer. "other" is basically all non media content like app data and documents, Safari History and bookmarks, Notes, Calendar entries, text messages, email messages, contacts and so on.
If the "other" is taking up a huge amount of space, something is corrupt on your iPad. Restoring the iPad may be necessary to make this right. Sometimes the only cure is to restore to factory settings and then rebuild your iPad by adding the content back onto it - not be restoring from a backup. Sometimes restoring from a backup can help this situation as well. You may have to experiment and see what works.

I have Lion on my laptop and I want to back up my calendar TO my iphone. Not the reverse. iCloud only goes from iphone to iCloud to mac not the other way. Also, why doesn't "sync" mean update most recent changes across all devices? I thought that was the point of iCloud. Any suggestions since iCloud doesn't seem to work?
It's a work computer so I wanted to save them to my iTunes so I can access from another computer. Should I go to a home computer and just Import for best results? If so how do I do this? Also, why would I be synched with another library and how do I find out what this is? Very new/green user here

Thank you so much! I didn't know that you could do that. I just followed your instructions and there was a bunch of stuff on there. I will see if this works! I assumed that it was due to something like the virtual memory on my computer, but I didn't know how to fix it. I didn't even see that in the manual. I love my iPod and use it all the time so I was really worried. I will reply in a few days and let you know if this solved the issue. Thanks for the iPod education!

The tick label displays every half hour (format HH24:MI) --> continuousTimeAxisInterval="CTAI_HOUR" seems to have no effect.
Then I changed timeAxisType from "TAT_DEFAULT" to "TAT_DEFAULT_STRICT".
Juhu, now vertical gridlines are displayed every half hour, but orientation of tick label changed from vertical to horicontal (format DD.MM.YYYY)!

Photosmart 5520 showing new cartridges as less than half full
I've just replaced the three colour cartridges with genuine HP cartridges.
There are no printing problems, no error message, yet the Cyan and Blue cartridges are only showing less than half full. The yellow one is showing full.
I've tried all the steps on the trouble-shooting page here but no change.

I see that the colour ink cartridges are not giving an accurate reading. I do have a couple troubleshooting steps that I would like to run through to see if we can get this issue resolved for you.
First off, if you have the printer power cable connected to a power bar/strip, please remove it and connect the power cable direct to a wall outlet. Here is a document that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. Please note that the printer that is listed in this document is a LaserJet printer and that this is only used as an example seeing that the power issue applies to HP products in general.
I would also suggest that you attempt to reset the printer once the power cable is in a wall outlet. Here is a document that explains how to do a basic Reset on the printer.

Why isn't my iPhone showing up on my iCloud so I can use the Find My iPhone app?
Hey, okay so I have misplaced my iPhone and it has the Find My iPhone app on it, and is registered, but is not showing up on my iCloud so I can try to activate it. Is there anything I can do or any alternate process to locate it besides via iCloud?
i don't want to be that guy on the fourms adding to a 2-year-old topic, but you might want to try updating iTunes. The current version is 11, and that might help with getting the computer to recognize it.
Also, have you tried unlocking your phone before plugging it in? That would resolve most mount/unmount errors. -
Why is my iPod now only half full (when previously it was full)?
I recently suffered a failure of the hard disc on my Mac; the disc was replaced and the machine restored to its factory condition from my original DVD discs.
My iTunes music is kept on an external hard disc and so wasn't affected. I therefore replaced the iTunes library file to my hard disc, from a backup, and all should have been well.
I did have a probem that iTunes failed to find some of my music. but I've now resolved this, with the help of another user on here.
My problem is that my iPod, previously virutally full, is now only about half full - but as far as I can tell, there are no tracks missing!
Could it be that my newly-installed copy of itunes in copying the tracks to the iPod at a much lower sample rate than before, even though it is using the exact same music files.
Anyone know what is going on here?

Two iPhones showing in iTunes but I only have one
I had to get my original iPhone (bought 9/26) replaced because it kept mysteriously turning off. I now have two iPhones showing up in iTunes. Ones says "iPhone" and one says "Lisa's iPhone". ANy way to combine these and get rid of one of them?

Where are these two iPhones showing up? Is it in the left-hand Source List of iTunes under the Devices heading? Or are they showing under Edit > Preferences > iPhone?
If they are both showing under the Devices header in the Source List, what happens when you disconnect the iPhone? Do both disappear or only one?
If they are showing in the Preferences window, then that is actually a record of the different backups iTunes has made for each iPhone. If the preferences and settings on your new iPhone are how you would like them, then you can remove the old backup.

My Backup HDD for Time Machine has 1TB, same as my MAC-HDD. The Mac HDD is only .5TB full. But suddenly Time Machine wants 2 TB of space for the backup, allthough I have erased all earlier backups and the HDD is empty. I've activated file vault, but some time ago, so I don't think that's the reason.
I also excluded Windows 7 on Parallels.
What happened???

It sounds like you may have a directory problem on your internal HD. Verify it, per #6 in Using Disk Utility.
Just to be sure the TM drive is really empty, erase it, per #1 there. -
I seen others with the same issue and I read through the links and did not find the answer. In my instance, the homesharing is enabled in iTunes (version 11.5) and on my ipod 4 (version 6.1.3), but in iTunes the house icon and well as the “SHARED” part of the side menu do not show. When I select the library in my ipod the hr glass circle gets half way filled and then stops.
I was thinking it might be my router, so I changed the security settings from WPA to WPA2 (as others have tryed which fixed thier issue) and back with no luck. There was a firmware update that was needed on my router, but that didn't fix it either.
Shouldn't the house icon appear in iTunes regardless whether there is an internet connection to the other device (in this case my ipod)??? I had homesharing working on my old netbook a year or two ago and I thought the house icon always showed when enabled whether I had my system connected to a router or not. I could be wrong though.

Thank you for providing the details of the Home Sharing issue you are experiencing. The Home Sharing icon is not always visible. If you would like it to show so that you can verify you are signed in with the correct account, you can follow these steps:
Go to File > Home Sharing and choose Turn Off Home Sharing.
Choose File > Home Sharing > Turn On Home Sharing.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID you'd like to use.
Click Turn On Home Sharing, then Done.
After you press done, it is normal for the Home Sharing icon to disappear. I found these steps in the article listed below. I recommend reviewing the full article to troubleshoot issues with Home Sharing:

I keep on getting E-mails that notifies me that my storage is almost full. I don't want to press that button until my question has been answered.
It will delete the entire backup, so you'll have to back up again after doing this. The new backup will only contain the apps (and other data) that you have selected and omit the ones you turned off.

Unknown error (-36), iPod mini thinks it's 'full' when it's only half-full!
Great site - I have discovered that lots of people have similar problems to me, but none are specifically the same as mine, hence I am posting a new topic. Sorry if this has appeared earlier........
This is driving me crazy. Last week I put a new album onto iTunes and when I connected my iPod mini (6GB), it wouldn't upload from iTunes to it. I thought it may be because my iPod was almost full up, so I deleted another album to make space for the new one. Still nothing happened. By now I knew I had space on the iPod, but the new album would still not go on. I figured I had to update my iPod, so I installed the latest update (1.4.1.) and the latest iTunes. Now, whenever I connect my iPod, it loads about half of my iTunes (it never stops at exactly the same place) onto my iPod, gets to about 2.9GB then flashes up one of 2 messages -
1. 'The disk cannot be read or written to', or
2. ' The iPod """ could not be written to. Unknown error (-36)
I have uninstalled the new updates, restored my iPod and re-installed the software that came in the box when I bought my iPod last May, in effect putting my iPod onto my PC for the very first time. But I am still having the same problems. This is very frustrating. Can you help?
