IPhone 5 showing white shadow when searching

I have a problem occurring when I search on the pull down option, a huge white shadow appears to the left of the screen when I have found eg eBay when opened up then disappears when it has opened. It'd not there permanently in any other place only when I'm searching on the phone eg eBay

I didn't see your previous msg about the back up, I'll have to try this, I had replied from my email it's not showing here so I'll paste it to this reply.
It only occurs when I do a particular thing so it's not visible all the time! As I'm typing this from my emails there is no shadow. No shadow during screen lock, it appears when I open it after I've put in my code.
When I put in a search in my iPhone search option, it appears when i find the app eg eBay, FB any app and open it and when I close it.
it doesn't happen eg photos app, diary or any other that I have already got in my folders in screen. Hope this explains it, difficult without seeing it.
Apple needs to give us the option to be able to show screen shots of problem, obviously they need to check for viruses.

Here is what you should do turn the device on hold the home button and the power button until the device turn off keep holding and when the device reboots release the power button but hol the home button until it shows the iTunes logo then restore it

HT1414 My ipod touch shows white screen when i turn on. And, it does not register in my computer.

I was setting up my pop's new iPhone 4. When I was setting up the Safari Browser, it asked what I thought was which search engine I wanted to use, so I entered Google. Problem is that I somehow made the Safari Browser open up into a Google Browser. I love Safari & can't find how to switch it back to a Safari Browser when I touch the Safari App on Pop's iPhone. Looked in settings & couldn't find how to correct my mistake. Help please.

Google doesn't, to the best of my knowledge, even make a browser for iOS. Even if they did, you would have had to have downloaded it from the App Store. And, even if you had downloaded an alternate browser (there are quite a few), they wouldn't launch if you tapped the Safari icon.
What, exactly, do you mean when you say "Google browser"? What are you seeing?

Iphone 3G shows Apple logo when starting and stops there.

Hi, I just got an Iphone 3G 16GB yesterday from a person who had it for 10 days and did not like it. Before giving it to me me he did a general reset using the optino in the settings menu. When he gave it to me the Iphone was still doing the reset and it took 2 hours and 40 minutes to end it. At the end of the reset the screen showed the Apple logo and does not go further. All of this was done with the Iphone plugged in a power outlet to avoid interrupting the operation.
I left it on for all the night just hoping it was a very long procedure but with no results (still the Apple logo and nothing else). This morning I tried to turn it off keeping the sleep/wake button pushed for some time but id did not even shut down. The only way I found to shut it down was to to push the Home button and the sleep/wake button together for a few seconds. When I tried to turn it on again pushing the sleep/wake button it showed the Apple logo again and nothing happened.
COuld someone help me?

Just to report that the problem was solved with Apple Support. They asked me to start Itunes, connect the usb cable to the computer, push the home button while connecting the USB connector to the Iphone. This way Itunes recognized the Iphone in recovery mode and restored everything automatically.
Now the Iphone is working perfectly.

In iTunes, try signing out of your Apple ID & then back in: click on iTunes Store on the left sidebar of iTunes, click on your Apple ID on the top right, sign out, sign back in. Then try to sync your purchased music to your phone again.

I have a iPhone 5, since day one I have had poor reception, 1 bar, when my daughters Samsung S3 has 3 bars, same network btw. It makes me feel I bought the wrong phone. If one more person at Three or Apple tell me to restore my phone to factory settings, I am going to scream. Also when network is selected as auto, the phone, when it feels like it goes to no service. It is only when I select the network manually, does it get a signal.
The phone is still under Apple's 90 day support, I was reminded today by a Apple rep of this. After the 90 days I would have to buy Applecare for any software related problem. So basically if Apple do not ressolve the problem with my "not fit for purpose phone" within the 90 days, I will have to pay for it. This is not good customer service Apple, I am someone who has believed in your productsas I have an iMac and iPad. I waited years to get an iPhone because I had the 3GS, which I thought was crap, the iPhone 5 convinced me to give the iPnone another try, I have had nothing but problems with it, previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy Note, no problems at all.
Has any one else had this problem with the iPhone 5?, I thought it might be Apple's dreaded aerial problem that caused so many problems on the iPhone 4.
I would be grateful for some suggestions, I have already been advised to use it as an expensive doorstop, not funny.

Well I had the exact same problem with my Iphone 5s, I tried many things such as turning the airplane mode on/off, restarting the device and also did a network settings reset. Nothing helped.
The next thing I did was to do a general reset via iTunes to factory settings (Made a backup first. Very important if you can connect to iTunes, it's a MUST). When the phone booted-up again, I had to ''activate the phone. But to activate it, I needed a connection with a network. But that was the whole problem so I was stuck and couldn't do anything with the device.
So I called the Apple support centre. We tried a few things, they all dindn't work. The last option (which worked for me) was to do a recovery (I have no idea what this reset is called) via the device+ iTunes.
To perform the reset, please follow these steps and hopefully it will work for you as well.
1. Open iTunes
2. Connect your USB cable to the computer, NOT to your device yet.
3. Power Off your device, and be sure that it is Off.
4. Press the home and hold it.
5. Connect the USB cable to your phone. You will see a iTunes logo on your device, you can release the home button.
6. Do a recovery via iTunes. iTunes will now recover the phone.
If it doesn't work the first time, try again. I had to do it twice and luckily it worked the second time.

Help, anyone with an iphone wont show their name when i text them.

So my boyfriend and my mom, since I updated my phone their number up top when i text them has a 1+ in front of it. It also says Add Contact at the top next to edit, so I clicked on it and it says Add New or Add to Existing. I chose Add to Existing and it still wont show their name. I even tried deleting the 1 + and deleting the number under the contact without the 1+ and it still wont work. What do I do??

Iphone 3gs shows white screen for a second and reboots.

While I play games, watch videos or do anything, the iphone displays a totally white screen for less than a second and then it reboots. After this it starts normally and then this all happens again after about 10-20 mins.
Plz give me any suggestions to fix it. What is the problem? any hardware prob??

Websites show white screen when visited

When I visit some websites, I see just a white screen with nothing on it - No text, no images, no spot nothing - just white.
Please note that I have tried the following things and none has worked for me.
1) I have reset Firefox - But no changes.
2) I have started Firefox with add-ons disabled - But no changes.
3) I have cleared the cookies for the websites - But no changes.
Even a few days back, everything was ok. But don't know what happens now. My Antivirus Kaspersky could not solve the problem. I have also used Malwarebytes ( Free Version ) to scan my computer. No malware was found.
Please help. What to do ?

Since you are having difficulties accessing those sites from other
browsers also this problem is not related to Firefox. The problem
lies either in your pc or in your internet connection.
I have faced this same issue before several times. I had to
contact top-level ISP personnels as guys who work at customer
support were too lazy and the problem was too complicated
to them. I suggest you do the same.
