IPhone 5 skips the wifi set up when setting up from new
My iPhone 5 skips setting up WiFi when setting up from new. I restored my iPhone because since I have owned it WiFi has not worked so I decided to do a restore to get it to go through the setup process but it skips it. Does this mean that the WiFi chip is faulty?

Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Restart your iOS device.
Make sure that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Make sure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
If you still can't turn Wi-Fi on, please contact Apple for support and service options. If you can turn Wi-Fi on but are experiencing other issues with Wi-Fi, see how to resolve those Wi-Fi issues.
It sound like you have already tried all of these steps, so you may need to contact Apple for support and service options.

My macbook air will not connect to the internet. There is an exclamation point in the wifi icon and when i go into preferences i see that it is setting its own IP address. I have a macbookpro that is able to connect with no issue. HELP
Reset the TC to factory and start again.
Use all SMB type names for wireless and base station.. Not apple type names.. this is more important since Mavericks.
I also recommend different names for the different bands.
So for example.
TC name.. TCgenx (I use whatever the generation number is for the x.. eg TCgen4 or latest one TCgen5)
WIreless name.. TC24ghz for 2.4ghz
TC5ghz for 5ghz
You can also set the channel manually.
If you still have issues.. start with no security and then if it fails to connect there is something seriously wrong with the laptop. Did you upgrade install Mavericks?? That can lead to driver issues.. I would recommend a clean install. -
My husband and I both have iPhones on the same account. When he did his update yesterday, he chose both his number and my number during set up. Now he is getting my messages, too. Can someone please help me fix this?
What do you mean he chose his and your number during setup. Chose them for what? Is you number showing up in the Settings>Messages>"You can be reached by imessage at" section? If it is he needs to remove it.

sign in with your apple id on the new phone, then go to app store - update - purchase - all/not on this phone and hit the cloud next to the app to downlaod.

Click the little blue arrow of the network. Scroll to the bottom of the screen. Click forget this network. Click forget this nework. Click the back network. Type in the password. It should be working.

After upgrading iOS 7 on my iPhone 5, the wifi is not working . It cannot detect any wifi nor am I able to enable wifi under settings. Is there a way for me to fix this?

I cannot see "iPhone" in the list of interfaces when trying to configure it in the network options. Do you know how to fix it ?
When I go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES > NETWORK i don't see "iPhone" in the list of Services (AirPort, Ethernet, etc.)
If I try to add a new service (by clicking + ) iPhone doesn't show up in the list of "interfaces" available.
That sounds a bit weird because iTunes can normally sync-up, backup and recover my iPhone.By the way "Personal Hotspot" is already set. -

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine. -

I took all my video with my iPhone turned the wrong way. When I view it on my pc it's turned on its side. How can I rotate the video and crop it?
Try plugging it into a computer with iTunes opened. If you see anything that says restore, say no.
Sometimes these issues resolve themselves when you connect the device to iTunes.
What happens when you hold the home and sleep/wake button? I know it doesn't work, but does it shut off at all? -

After I have wait for 30 minutes without do anything, the wifi interface worked.
I don't know if Apple could fix the issue on their site or the reboot of the Iphone solved the problem.
I'm installing IOS 6 on the Iphone 4 of my wife. Let's see if the behaviour is the same.
I will post the informations after finish the installation.
