IPhone 5 sms problems
I am now on my 2nd Iphone 5 and still unable to send sms to selective people. Dont know the reason and this problem even confused the apple supporty staff on my first Iphone 5, so they replaced it. Now the same thing is happening.
Does anyone have any ideas? HELP

The iphone was exchanged on friday last week and over weekend I was able to successfully sms those individuals. Yesterday , sent sms to a friend am, and it went through with no problem. I again tried to sms the same person around 5 pm - the phone came up with ! and not delivered. The friend is on the same carrier, but does not use an iphone.
I then tried to sms another colleague in South Australia - it simply would not go through again showing ! and not delivered.
On taking my sim card out of my Iphone 5 and puting in my daughters iphone 5, the message was retyped and went straight through.
I can receive sms . However can only send selectively. I can also send imessages with no problem.

Too many contacts = sms problems
Hi, i bought and 16GB iPhone last week and i'm having some problems with SMS.
When I click on the SMS, it takes about 40 seconds to open (when it opens, because normally just returns to the home screen), everything is really slow (opening conversations, writing/reading messages..). The problem only occur when my big list of contacts its in the phone (+- 4000 names).
My sister bought and 16GB in the same day, everything is equal, but she only have 100 contacts and her iPhone work perfectly. I already tried restoring my iPhone and reseting, but after syncing my contacts, the SMSs just stop working right. When i sync MY contacts in HERs iPhone, the SMSs of hers phone also starts having problems.
I feel like if it wasnt prepared for that ammount of data. What should i do? Does the iPhone has limitations regarding the number of contacts?
Thanks in advance.My life would be a lot easier if the iPhone had a spotlight, but in the time been, my fingers are getting stronger from all the scrolling...
I cant delete contacts because most of them are business relations/ hotels/ restaurants/ tennis partners... My contacts are my office on the road. But thanks for trying to help...

How do you reference a previous iphone sms conversation without cancelling (destroying) the current message?
Copy and paste is a clunky and dangerous method on a touch screen... With Apple being a UI focused corporation, this is a major oversight.

The use case I have described seems pretty foundational (wanting to check a previous conversation before sending a new message), and it seems to be implied in the messaging UI of Nokia from at least 2000. I can understand that this may have been considered less of a problem on an iphone given that once a conversation has been established, previous messages can be viewed - but it is not possible until that new conversation has been established.

mail it properly and in whatsapp to no problemHow did you Back-up ? Is it thru' OVI Suite ? If so again follow the SAME path and now you will see an option to RESTORE.. If you have Synced them with OVI then you will be able to see all the messages within the OVI Suite.. Select the one you want back on the phone select the tab in the OVI Suite Messaging that says 'Arrange Messages as per date' and you will see UP and DOWN arrows in front of all the messages. Drag and Drop the ones with UP arrow to sent folder and the ones with DOWN to Inbox next to the phone Icon in the lower window when the phone is connected to PC..

Iphone 4 problems after 7.0.2 update--Especially with keyboard entries
I am having serious iphone 4 problems after installing the 7.0.2 update. Mostly it is with use of the keyboard. Each key stroke takes about 8 seconds to show. It is truly disabling. Apparently many others have had various problems. The one thing the Apple Tech would tell me was that 7.0.2 cannot be uninstalled. I have restarted & reset. Settings shows I have more that 20 free GB of space, though I don't know if that's important.

May be you have turned the DO NO DISTURB in your iphone settings.
Check as below DND settings
Settings>>Do Not Disturb
If you are iPhone is on version iOS 5.X there was a bug which does not let the DO NOT DISTURB function properly.
SO, its better you to latest iOS version 7.0.4, no other versions of iOS are signed by APPLE hence forth. -

try this and see if it works: connect your iPhone and open up iTunes on your PC. Go to your phone's page. Under Summary page, check manually manage music and videos.

You are seeing your old apple id because that was the ID that was used to download the app, you can't merge apple id.
to update the app, you will have to enter the old password.
Any new apps you download with your new id, will use that id and password. -
Ok. I'm running 3.1.3 on iPhone 3G.
Recently my iPhone just decided that it wasn't going to let me take pictures anymore. All it allows me to do is open the camera app and it shows the camera shutter and that's all it shows and a restart of iPhone doesn't work and a restore of iPhone doesn't help. This problem just started with my iPhone about two days ago.Hello. I have just purchased a used Apple iphone (8GB)from a local salesmen that sells used items for a cheap price. (For example I purchased this phone for the low price of $200.00). After I purchased it I took it home and, with the instructions given by the salesperson, I jail broke my iphone to a Cincinnati Bell Network Plan with my current SIM card. I realized the iphone worked perfectly as if it was brand new, except for one thing, when I went to take a picture the camera didn't work correctly. While researching my iphone's problem on the internet I have not seen a problem quite like mine. I will explain: When you open the app for "camera" on my iphone by clicking on it the camera comes up, but instead of showing on the screen what a normal camera would show, it simply shows a screen that looks to me as what a closed lens of a digital camera would look like if the screen were to show you. It looks like a closed camera lens every time I open up the app with a small icon on the bottom which symbolizes a camera. When you click on the camera icon the iphone does nothing and acts as if you clicked on nothing. To solve this problem I have taken it back to the salesman to ask for help. He took it in for 2 days in which he said he would fix it. When he returned it he sated that he fixed the problem and all I would have to do is put a different camera app on my iphone. However after trying 3 different camera apps, which i wasted money on, I am still left with the same closed lens look on every camera app I have installed. All the camera apps on my phone, new and old, do not react to any touching of the screen after open to open the lens or take a picture. They just simply show the "closed lens" look on the screen, thus NOT fixing my problem. Thank you for any help you can address my problem with. It is much appreciated and if I can fix this problem I won't feel as if I have wasted $200.00 and counting on my iphone and the apps I have installed to fix the issue addressed above.

when i send the same message with my ipad or iphone no problem my contacts receive the mail.
