IPhone 5, Sprint, No Wifi unless

I have a new iPhone 5 with sprint service. the 3g network is working fine, not LTE service ever, I have updated and restore many times already, I have the iOS 6.1.2. When I have it connected to my computer using iTunes I have wifi and disconnect it and a few minutes later I no longer have it. when I connect it again it works again. that I the only time i have wifi.
Please someone help, I can reset my phone or restore my phone again with out pulling my hair out....

I am here to help and make sure we get you back up on working on your Wifi. There has been a few updates that have been released by Apple that will improve your wifi settings. You can view your device software version and making sure its on the latest version by going into settings, General, and select software update. This screen will notify you if you are on the latest verison. If you are please turn the wifi off on your device and turn the wifi back on to connect to the internet.

Same thing started on 1/30/13 for me first thing in the AM with my iPad mini. If I am more than 10 ft away (line of sight) from my AirPort Extreme I get the not able to join network message even though it is showing 3 bars. IPhone 4 cannot detect wifi unless almost next to router

I've had my iPhone 4 for about 2 months now and it could detect wifi at quite a good range. But until recently I have had to get almost completely next to the router for it to detect. It's not my wifi; my sister's phone can detect it at a certain range, but mine cannot. I don't know what happend to it! HELP!

The troubleshooting steps detailed below can help resolve issues with signal strength when using Wi-Fi on your iPhone.
Wi-Fi disconnects or signal strength is less than expected
Move closer to the Wi-Fi router (access point).
Check for sources of potential interference.
Remove any case, stand, or other accessories from your iOS device and see if signal strength improves.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords

One of my 2 iPhone 5S does not connect to WiFi unless I'm in the same room, Apple has replaced the iPhone 3 times same problem

I replaced both of my iPhone 4S/7.x with iPhone 5S/7.x and neither was qable to connect to any WiFi unless I was within 20' of the WiFi router. So I took both to the Apple store and they replaced both iPhone 5S.
Now one works perfectly, however the other does not. I went to the Apple store again, and they replaced the replacement iPhone 5S with another 5S. Same problem.
I went back to the Apple store again and they replaced replacement #2 with another replacement, so this is the 3rd time! They recommended I take the replacement iPhone 5S and not restore,but start as a new iPhone. Before I did anything, I checked to see if the WiFi worked "out of the box"....it did not!! Thus, there wasn't any reason to do a new install, since it did not appear to be my software load.
By the way, all 3 of my MacBook Pro's and iPad work perfectly over WiFi.
Also, all my iPhones and iPad are on v 7.04
It doesn't appear to make sense to go back to the Apple store Genius Bar, as it appears all of their stock have this issue.
Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated

My iphone 6 suddenly wont connect to wifi unless right next to it

iPhone 6 running ios 8.2 suddenly wont connect to my wifi unless extremely close. it is not the wifi as all other devices including an iPad 4th gen, macbook pro 13 inch and iPhone 4s have full bars from the room i am in, sometimes the iPhone 6 will get 1 bar but it wont work on the one bar. Does anyone know what could have caused this?

I have an iPhone 3GS 8GB that works perfectly and finds my WiFi no problem wherever I am in my house. My mother, however, has just brought an iPhone 3G 8GB that cannot find our WiFi unless it is within a metre of the router
I phoned Apple and the woman on the phone said to reset the router and modem, done that but I still have the same problem. She also suggested about updating the iPhone 3G, but iTunes is telling me that its software is up to date .... "This version of the iPhone software (4.2.1) is the current version"
My iTunes is also up to date (version 10.6.3.25)
I have also tried resetting the network settings on the phone, turning the WiFi on and off on the phone and turning it on and off (someone said that might have worked)
Has anyone came across this problem before? And if so, how can I fix it?

The problem could be due to a loose antenna but it's impossible to say for sure.

I got 2 new IPhones 5s and the wife couldn’t decide what she wanted so she stayed with old phone but this locked me into a new 2 yr contract . Within a wk one of the new iPhones started turning on and of like 10 –15 times a day. Wk 2 it turned off and would not turn on again . It was my sons who was in college at the time so we talked and he took it in to a Verizon store where he was told I need to come in since the account was in my name. He was away from home , Verizon could see on account it was his phone they said it was not abused, they could not even turn it on , they sold me the phone give him another phone maybe even a loaner till he gets another. So now I need to go to store and explain to 3 different people this is my phone and my son has it and I need a new one. what a waste of time after about 2 hrs and talking to different people and yes they said there were notes on his account from other person he had talked to from different store. So I finally walk out with a receipt in hand and being told I would have a new phone in a couple days. As I sat in my vehicle thinking this is stupid I looked at my receipt and noticed it said droid on it so back into Verizon I went. The salesman said that’s what your son has on his account. My son had activated a friends old phone so he has one since VERIZON REFUSED to give him one. Another hr 3 people and yes they can see he had a new iPhone and notes on it from other store. Sometimes sorry just doesn't do it. I was now late for a appointment . Now I walk out and have been told I will get a new iPhone in the mail in about 2 wk Yes 2 wks again I bought it there just give me a new one and you send old one back. I will also get a new droid that I have to send back because they said they cant cancel it . In about 3 days I get the Droid and sent it back Verizon mistake and a waste of my time . After waiting over 2 wks and not receiving a new iPhone back to Verizon I went . I am now bitter at Verizon after doing 20 yrs of business with them. 3 people 1 hr later I was told it got delivered to my post office . I got the tracking num called the post office and they say o yes that was the droid. Go back in to Verizon another hr of explaining I walk out being told I will get a new iPhone in a couple of days, We’ll see . Once again I got the phone in your store just give me a new one . Do you realize how much of my time you have wasted ? do you care? O what is Your Policy ? How many Billion did you make last year ? I am Locked into a new 2 yr contract . Ipod touch wont connect to wifi unless close to router

My ipod won't connect to my wifi unless I'm about 5-10 feet away from the router. Is this normal with the 1st gen ipod touches? I can't use a lot of apps because I need an internet connection to use them.

One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem. A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

There is no way to know such a thing unless Apple announces.

If you were using a Mac you could use a program but AFAIK there is nothing similar yet for the PC.
However, you should have a backup of your music, correct? Just restore from that backup to your computer (and, if not, at least this will teach you the importance of always backing up your music purchases onto writable media like DVD).

If you have a wifi router you can set up/turn on the wifi... set the user name and password wifi in your router... open wifi in general settings on the iPhone... log into your router, user name and password. (If your don't know how to turn on the router wifi. Google the router make and model and you will find instructions on how to do this.)
If you don't have a wifi router and your Mac has wifi capabilities you can hookup to the internet over wifi from your Mac to your iPhone.
System Preferences on the Mac... Network... Wifi... Advanced tab... Hit the '+' to add a user name and password...
Make sure you use WPA2 Personal for Security... Hit ok... Turn on the wifi... Same as above with the iPhone, log into your wifi settings on the iPhone.
*Important point... Use WPA2 for the encryption/Security setting. If you use anything else for this setting, your wifi can be hacked.

It is best to stop making all new apple IDs, as software is permanently tied to them, and you can't converge them. Make differnt ones if you plan to get divorced though....

Let me give more details..We have 3 iPods and 2 iPhone4....I recently purchased the iPhone4 and when we connected it..It was already reading my wife's iPhone4..We went to the Apple Store at the Grove today and was told to de-authorize the system and connect my iPhone4 back and I should be able to change the name.
