Iphone 5 started rebooting after 7.1.2 update

Hi! i bought an used Iphone 5 with 7.1.1, so far it worked ok i updated to 7.1.2 and the phone started to reboot constantly after 2-3 minutes of being turned on. I reseted al the settings on the phone, removed the simcard and kept doing it, what can i do?

Hey elgener4l,
I would suggest that you use the troubleshooting steps found in the following article to help you address this issue:
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Braden

  • My iPhone 6+ keeps rebooting after installing iOS 8.3

I have a 128Gb iPhone 6+. When I downloaded and installed iOS 8.3 via WIFI, it went through the usual download sequence and then started continually rebooting. After about 20 or so reboots, I got a white screen with a carrier signal on the top left, a location icon and a grayed-out bluetooth icon and the battery level indicator on the top right, and a curious "information" icon (a letter "i" in a circle) at the bottom right of the screen.
I tried tapping on the "i" but got no response. Then the iPhone went into the reboot cycle again. After several reboot cycles, I got the same white screen again. Then the iPhone again started rebooting and hasn't stopped.
My iPhone 6+ has been problematic since I installed iOS 8.1.2. Several random reboots (about 4 cycles, before the iPhone returned to "normal") and some other issues that I didn't document.
I brought the iPhone to the nearest authorized Apple repair center. They said that they could not find any problem and neither could they duplicate the issue I experienced. They recommended that the next time reboots happened that I should make a video of the error. Also, they recommended that I keep all of the apps updated (which I conscientiously do). So I decided to make a log of all the errors since the iPhone was returned to me.
Here are the entries to my log:
    iPhone 6+ Errors since March 30, 2015

    Hi Azwrona,
Another user with this issue indicated that they were able to fix it by first accessing the Store within the Music app rather than via the iTunes app. Once they accessed it that way, they were able to get to the Store via the iTunes app....
Thought that would be worth a shot before doing resets and sing offs. If that does not work, post back and we will do the resets and sign offs....
    Cheers,

  • My factory unlocked Iphone 4 got locked after 4.3.2 update, How do I unlock it?

"factory unlocked Iphone 4 got locked after 4.3.2 update, How do I unlock it?"
Do I have to use the apple's fast lane to resolve the issue or is it something that can be resolved quickly using the ITunes or combination of power and home key please advice...

From where did you purchase the iPhone? Are you certain it really was factory unlocked? I can't say that an iOS update couldn't inadvertently lock an iPhone, but more commonly it would happen with a jailbroken iPhone. If by "from Irvine" you mean Irvine, California, then you don't have a factory-unlocked iPhone unless you purchased it from another country, as there are no unlocked iPhones sold through any authorized reseller in the US.
    Regards.

  • IPhone 4 keeps rebooting after multiple restores

When it first started, it was jailbroken and I had turned off all data while in Canada.  When I crossed back into the US I made a call and it started rebooting every minute or so until the battery got too low.  I have restored it multiple times without jailbraking but it just keeps rebooting.
First it would not charge past 3% then it charged for a bit but now it is back stuck at 3%.  I am thinking but I am not sure if it is a battery issue.  Anyway to verify this?  Also should it charge when off, or in one of the restore modes?

I even have the same problem. After searching the web for long what i now know is that Apple knows this problem. I have even read in some posts that apple replaced the iphones for couple of people. There are even videos on you tube about the same issue we are suffering with. But the bad part is that despite apple knowing this issue they are not addressing or even replying to individuals like me and you for the way forward. I this case you are lucky that you stay in USA and could be having Apple store just next to you but i am in a real mess here in Kenya. As i will have to travel 400km to have the phone repaired or replace the phone.

  • Iphone 5 keeps rebooting after 5 minutes switched on

    hi to everyone,
suddenly my iphone 5 starting having problem when i switch it off an on again.
If i use my phone and it will off coz battery limit, it will takes ages to start charging. I have to put it in recovery mode to let it charge for a bit, then i will be able to switch it on.
Once it will on, after 5 minutes it will start rebooting by itself for many times and then it starts becoming steady with no problems at all.
Once it is on, the battery status keep says same level and when it will restart, it will update the status.
I have tried to reset it, set it as new phone, update.... everything.....
It happened two months after i've replaced a battery because it won't last long.

unless they returned the iPhone for Apple to replace it
they have"tampered" with the iPhone and voided the warranty and any post warranty support
and the battery will not be a genuine Apple battery as Apple do not make any parts available to anyone

  • HT4623 my iphone 4 needs rebooting after trying to update through air, but i dont have access to itunes. Is there any manual way to do this?

    Hi,
My Iphone 4 is rebooting and shutting down frequently after ios 7.1.1 update, daily not able to receive calls as it is in shutdown mode and trying to reboot also taking more time, Can some one suggest me the best solution for this problem???

    Hi Sekhar_Nutakki,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I recommend these steps if your iPhone is shutting down or restarting unexpectedly:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.

  • IPad mini retina constantly reboots after iOS 8.1 update - help!

    Hello,
I've downloaded on iPad mini Retina 16 GB iOS 8.1 update and installed it directly from the device (so no iTunes involvement). After it got installed with black apple on white screen (process seemed to be finished) - it started rebooting, but instead of starting up it shows shortly (for just a second) blue screen, after goes black and then reboots again - and all this in constant flux: white screen with black apple - blue flash - black screen - white screen with apple. Connecting to iTunes doesn't make anything - it doesn't recognise the device while in state of reboot.
    What can I do?
    Help!

    Hey there,
Got exactly the same problem here. Can't even reset/ shut off the device, so it keeps on flashing with the blue screen.

  • How do I restore the contacts in my IPhone?  They dissappeared after I did the update.

After I did the update, my contacts comletely dissappeared and my email locked up. Any help would be appreciated. I contacted Apple, but they were not of much help. The Icloud was not of help either.

Do you have sync contacts with the Address Book on your Mac selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?
If not, this needs to be selected.
If you want to replace contacts on your iPhone with what is available in the Address Book on your Mac, select Contacts for replace info on this iPhone under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences followed by a sync.

  • Eclipse IDE won't start anymore after most recent security update

    Hello everybody,
after today's security update the Eclipse IDE won't start anymore on my system, I just receive the following error message:
A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) must be available in order to run Eclipse.
No Java virtual machine was found after searching the following locations: /Applications/eclipse/Eclipse.app/Contents/MacOS/jre/bin/
    java
    'java' in your current PATH
Java is installed and Eclipse ran smoothly until I upgraded. Other Java programs like Visual Paradigm still work without problems.
Does anybody have an idea what I can do about this? I have already tried repairing permissions, to no avail.
    Best regards,
    Björn
Mac Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I have narrowed down the problem even more:
Obviously system path variables are not set anymore on my system for UNIX processes that are started in background, whereas starting applications from terminal using the open command ('open Gimp.app' for instance) still works without any problems.
Any ideas where to change this behaviour?

  • Client machine force reboot after apply window patch updated

I found all of client machines will force reboot after window patching updated via SCCM 2012. Have any options in SCCM 2012 can let users to choose reboot their machine after patching ? likely WSUS, users can suspend the reboot request. Pls advice.

The notification will happen automatically if ConfigMgr installs updates that require a reboot but a reboot is not initiated so there's nothing additional you need to do.
Note however that allowing users to choose this instead of forcing it is generally bad practice because the updates aren't truly installed until the reboot happens and there have been a couple of updates of the years that cause flakiness until the system
    is rebooted also.
Why not allow the users to install the updates when they want up until a deadline and then force the reboot at the deadline (if one hasn't already been performed)? This gives the user the control over the process but also forces it to happen if the user
    neglects performing it.
