IPhone 5 suddenly unable to connect to Exchange

Having worked fine for many months, I can no longer connect to Exchange for work emails or to sync my calendar.  Started yesterday by not allowing me to add an appoinment on my phone - now all past information has been erased.
I have deleted the exchange account, reset network connections, done a hard reset etc etc to no avail.....
Can anyone help?
I am using Zoho mail..........

Was there any security changes that was made.  Or any changes made with your IT systme.
did they look at your account to verify

    I set my iphone 3g without with our ms exchange server. I had no problems. Sending, receiving, calendar, and contacts all worked perfectly for weeks. One day it just stopped working. I receive "Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed" when trying to check for mail, and "Cannot Send Mail - An error occured while delivering this message." when trying to send.
    *Here's what I've tried:*
    - Hard reset
    - Changed password and then update it in iphone email setup
    - Confirming all settings are correct (against a co-worker with the same phone)
    - Trying alternate settings (specifying alternate server names, including the domain, including the domainname\username in the user name field)
    - Moving all emails to an archive folder, then attempting to connect with iphone
    - Deleting the account from the iphone and re-entering it (this just caused me to loose all of my existing emails and calendar appts from viewing)
    - Resetting the iphone
    - Resetting the iphone, and setting up the email account again without restoring
    - I can browse to web mail using safari on the iphone, and log in successfully
    - Just to test, I have defined an incorrect password in the iphone email setup and I do receive an incorrect password error (same thing happens when I remove the domain name from the domain name field).
    Any other ideas?

    I had tried that a few times but no luck. I also tried restarting it. It is strange that my other accounts work fine.

    I would first start with forcing the Mail App to close then attempt to access your account again.

    If the issue persists, the easiest way to troubleshoot this issue would be to delete the account and add it back to the iOS device.  Below, I have included two e-mail troubleshooting articles.  The first article covers basic email troubleshooting.  The second article will assist you if the email account you are experiencing issues with is a Gmail account.

If I take it into another room my iPhone 5 won't connect, it is able to see the network, but says unable to connect. My iPhone 4 and ipad is able to connect in all other rooms in the house still , where my 5 used to be able to connect. How can I fix this, it is clearly the phone an not the wifi.

  • Mail unable to connect to Exchange account in Macbook

    I have an Exchange Account for my work email and calendar. I recently had to change the password and as I updated the login information in my iPhone (IOS 7) and Macbook (OSX) I have found that the Mail app in the iPhone connects to the Account just fine... The Mail app in my macbook however is unable to connect (using the exact same login information).
    The password has many special characters, could this be the issue?

  • I have a 5th generation iPod touch that is suddenly "unable to connect to the server", not entirely sure what this means but I'm unable to connect to the internet even though I'm connected to Wifi. Can't connect to iTunes on my pc either. Any input?

    I have a 16GB iPod touch that suddenly stopped connecting to the internet last night. Everytime I try to get mail, or access anything with Safari I get a message saying that it can't connect to the server. Also I've plugged it in to my home computer but it won't connect to iTunes either. I haven't updated to iOS8 yet as I didn't have enough space for it and I had planned on deleting all my music files, updating the software and putting whatever music I could fit back on to the device afterward, but now I'm hesitant to do that as I have no way to get any of the files back onto the device. Could this be because I haven't updated to iOS8 yet? I've been having other problems such as apps crashing unexpectedly lately as well, for example my music shuts off randomly and apps such as Twitter and Tumblr and a few others crash on launch. I'm definitely not a genius when it comes to technology by any means, so I have no idea what's causing this problem or how to fix it, any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
    Does the iOS device see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
    Did the iOS device connect before?
    Try the following to rule out a software problem:                
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
    .- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network      
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

    We have been having issue with our Exchange Server 2010's Transport Service failing due to a database corruption. I was hoping that maybe applying the Roll-up 7 for Exchange might fix this issue, however after applying the patch we are unable to start the

    Hi,
    Please try the following steps to narrow down the issue:
    1. Uninstall and reinstall .NET package in Exchange server.
    2. Under location C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\CONFIG, took a copy of Machine.Config.default, renam it to Machine.config and copy it under this path again.
    3. Do IIS reset by running iisreset from a Command Prompt window.
    4. Reboot the server and verify whether the Exchange services are started.

  • Outlook 2007 on XPsp2 OEM unable to connect to Exchange Server 2003??

    My outlook 2007 came part and package of the Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise Edition, and our SBS server runs Exchange 2003.
    After setting up the connection in Outlook to connect too Exchange (when clicking test (check name) on configuration it is successful) --
    The Error Message is so upon start up :
    Cannot Open your Default e-mail Folders, You must connect to microsoft exchange with the current user profile before you can synchronize your folders with your offline folder file..
    When disabling the cached exchange mode the error message changes however, but it is still unable too actually open outlook.
    Cannot open your default E-Mail Folders. The Attempt too log on to the exchange server failed... (after in the configuration the test suceeded.)
    The computer has a fresh copy of XP SP2 OEM, as well as Microsoft Outlook, only other software on is SQL server 2000 (All microsoft Updates installed). The active user is domain controlled and has the same credentials as is used by Exchange.
    After selecting the checkbox under Control Panel -> Mail -> ......... "User Identification" -> Always prompt for login credentials no change is made to this error....
    I then disabled the use of offline folders..... "could not open your default email folders. The information store could not be opened"
    Please provide assistance in any way possible.... ASAP as well if possible.

    I had all the same problems you had, and did the exact same things you did to no avail.
    This is what solved my problem:

    Locate and then click the following subkey:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\RPC

    4.
    Type DefConnectOpts, and then press ENTER.
    5.
    Right-click DefConnectOpts, and then click Modify.
    6.
    In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
    7.
    Exit Registry Editor.

  • Outlook client in different subnet unable to connect to Exchange 2010 CAS using Windows 2008 R2 NLB multicast mode

    Hi all,
    need urgent assistance on the following issue
    this is my Exchange 2010 setup
    2 x CAS/Hub servers with HP network teaming, and load balanced using Windows NLB multicast mode. There are 2 VIPs on the NLB, one for outlook anywhere, one for autodiscover
    2 DNS records were created for the 2 VIPs
    Clients use Outlook Anywhere (HTTPS) to connect to the CAS servers from external segment via a Palo Alto firewall, which also acts as a layer 3 router
    static arp was set on the Palo Alto firewall, with both virtual MACs pointing to the primary virtual MAC used by the NLB. 
    Observations
    1. within same segment - no issue accessing Exchange servers, even when one CAS node is offline
    2. external segment (via firewall)
    a. when both nodes are up
    outlook client able to connect to Exchange CAS VIP on 443, but will disconnect after around 30 seconds. Client will retry and the pattern will repeat
    Exchange CAS RPC logs shows client connections and disconnections to the outlook anywhere VIP address
    Firewall logs shows allowed traffic from client to the VIPs
    unable to complete profile creation
    b. with only CAS2 (CAS1 stopped/deleted from NLB cluster)
    no issues accessing Exchange servers, creating profiles etc
    c. with only CAS1
    same behaviour as (a)
    reinstalled NLB, but doesn't resolve
    deleted CAS1 from NLB cluster, and re-add. issue remain
    Q1. is teaming supported? Teaming is currently set to automatic mode, instead of specified Fault Tolerant
    Q2. are there additional settings we need to set or verify on the Palo Alto firewall, since the issue only happen to external segment? Thanks!

    Yes - I've been scarred with this for many years :(
    If it is just CAS 1 that is causing issues, then focus in on that.  The support statement for Win 2008 R2 is that NLB is still a 3rd party component and support may ask for it to be disabled.

    Does CAS1 and CAS2 have the same NICs (firmware as well), driver, teaming software, and teaming config? 
    I also want to ask what the network team did for configuring the switch ports on the servers?  This will vary from vendor to vendor  - did they do the same config on both?

  • Suddenly unable to connect to my webserver

    Hi everyone.
    So I ran into a sticky situation on a swf that has been working quite well for several years and this morning out of the blue my test movie (local) suddenly refuses to connect to my web server. I think the culprit is the new flash debug player I installed last night. I upgraded to 10.1 from 9.something. After sifting through countless google searches and beating my head against my desk for the past few hours Im at a total loss as to what happened and how to get my local testing working once again. The really confusing thing is that I can publish and upload to my web server and it works just fine. (Not really an option as a compile/upload takes a bit less than 10 mins)
    Im running Flash Pro 8
    So the first thing I did was uninstall the new flash debug player. Ran a test movie, no luck (Error opening url()...)
    Next I downloaded and installed Flash player 9 content debugger (netscape-compatible browsers). Ran a test move, no luck
    Gotta be my server then, nope all directories/files and permissions are exactly the same.
    Hummm... I wonder if I can connect to my server at all? I uploaded a brand new test file (test.txt) to the server and open it in a browser to make sure its accessible. Created a new fla with the following code:

    Yeah, I did that after thoroughly reading the page
    Still no luck. As I was doing that I noticed that I didnt get the "sandbox" message with the setting tab that would take you to the FP global setting page unless I tried to open the swf from windows explorer. Opening from Flash it just give the "error connecting to url..." message. Anyway I did add the local folder location that contains all the related project files. Also when I right click and "open with" I am only give the option to open with Flash Player 8.0 r22. I cant find the new Player that I just reinstalled (after a restart). Not even with a windows search. However if I verify my version I get 10,1,53,64 debug yes.
    Just to verify that something in flash could connect to the internet my old ftp login for "open from site" can connect. It has to be the player, right?

  • Suddenly Unable to Connect to FaceTime

    I have a MacBook Pro running 10.8.5, and iPad 2 and an iPhone 5 both running iOS7. My girl friend has a MacBook running 10.7. We were only able to connect if I called her on my iPhone. Suddenly, I can't connect to her at all, neither of us changed anything else. Ideas? When she calls me via FT, I hear her MacBook ringing, but I get nothing. and same when I try to call her.
    One more thing, I did change one thing...I shut down my iPad. That's the only change, no software updates, nothing. Suddenly no connection at all.
    And all along, video quality is terrible even though I have the fastest internet speed AT&T offers and she has very good speed as well.

    To narrow down the cause, I recommend the following troubleshooting:
    1. Try to ping your Exchange server on the problematic users’ workstations
    2. Try to access OWA with the proper IP address.
    3. Try to directly access the following URL:
