IPhone 5 suffered heavy water damage, just started functioning regularly-- Need help!
So last July my iPhone 5 experience severe water damage. Apple store employees said that there was little they could do. The phone would not function
Fast forward to 6 months later: I hook up the phone to the wall outlet and the black screen shows up with rows and rows of white text. I can hook it up to iTunes but it can't restore.
Fast forward to today (a year later): I plugged my phone into the wall outlet and hooked it up to iTunes. The phone successfully was updated and restored. It now seems to function normally. I'm considering calling my carrier to switch back to my iPhone 5, however I'm not sure if it will fail on my later because there was extensive water damage before. What are your guys' thoughts?

It will fail at some point or start acting in a strange manner. And such failure will occur at the time you need the device the most according to my friend Murphy. When the device was water damaged you could have gotten an out of warranty replacement for less than the price of a new phone. In fact you may still be able to get such a replacement. Check with the local Apple store.

Where is the Greeter class ??
ok may be you must have defined it somewhere else
Mostly the Java Compiler hasnt found out your Greeting class
Try locating that " Greeter.java"
or mention it in an other file located in the same folder as "Newprog.java"

I stood in line the first day the original iPhone came out to purchase one. The next day I purchased my second iPhone for my daughter and before long we had 4 iPhones in the house. We still to this day have 4 iPhones. Over the years several of my iPhones stopped working, I had paid extra to have the support contract on them only to find the local Apple store could care less. They condemed my iPhones as being water damaged even though I was told the phones did not get dunked in water.
Today I learned Apple settled a Class Action in regards to the iPhones with warrenty where the liquid sensor was red and Apple refused to fix the problem. In researching this I discovered reading the judges order in the case that Apple is supposed to have a 1-800 number setup and a website setup for people who had the problem. I searched the web but could not find the website or the phone number. It appears as if Apple is going to e-mail all people who took their iPhones in for repair and were refused yet I have not recieved an e-mail from Apple.
I guess the question I have is should I assume since I have had no e-mail from Apple that I will not get one and I will not be included as those getting payment. Should just take my iPhones with the red liquid sensor to small claims court or should I attempt to contact the judge in the case and ask him how I can have three iPhones that qualify yet have not heard anything from Apple? I still have the iPhones that Apple refused to repair.I don't think the settlement has been approved by the courts yet. Apple agreed to pay, but I don't believe the terms of how everything will go down has been officiated yet. When it is, the documents written up about it stipulate they've got to place a notice in USA today and Macworld with the web address for claims as well as a toll-free number. There is nothing saved on the SIm card in an iphone. If you have a backup of the old phone restore that to the new phone

No. Terms of the warranty call that "abuse".
You can hope, and try:
Turn it off, leave it off
Put it in a pile of "dessicant packs" (shipping packs found in hard disk boxes), possibly in a plastic bag (NOT rice -- that has rice-dust which gets into the unit)
Maybe try turning it on again in about 4-5 days
But this is really a desperation move, and I would not do it myself (although others say they have tried it).
Most likely you are paying for either a repair or a new unit. -

Well if i put a TV inside a swimming pool i definitely wouldn't expect it to work again, would you?. So as gail said pretty much fried. You could try going to an Apple center though maybe they will fix it. But definitely i wouldn't mention them the glass incident. Good luck. -

I may be wrong Karsten but the OP seems to be saying that the Apple TV is asking for the cable and hence it is that 'special situation' you refer to.

1. How to do a fade in / fade out title intro over the moving scene of the video?
2. How to adjust the color to saturate / brighten / darken video scenes?
3. How to make a credits page at end of video?
4. Also, confused because I have only 2 image / audio clips for my very short video. The first video clip has the audio track with one sound graph displayed when enlarged. The second video clip has audio with 2 sound graph images stacked on top of each other saying R and L, right and left. The first audio clip does not have this, does not look like this. This is confusing. I thought both audio clips should look the same. What's up with this? Do I have something duplicated?
