IPhone 5 support regarding continuous "searching"

I want to express my dismay about the "help" I've received regarding my iPhone 5 that was stuck in "searching" mode for my carrier (Verizon). This problem is all over the 'net, but when I brought the phone to numerous Verizon outlets (both company stores and franchises) and several "genius bars" in Apple stores, the reaction I got was like this was a completely unknown issue. "Let's try turning it off/on, replace the SIM card, etc. etc. etc." Nothing worked, and everyone seemed baffled. This is ridiculous. The motivation seems to be to sell me a new phone for $700. It's not that hard, people. This reeks of a software issue rather than a hardware problem. The solution for me was to download iTunes to my PC, then do a complete backup of the phone, followed by a reset and restore. This completely removed and replaced the software and firmware in the phone, and suddenly, up popped Verizon. Problem solved.

If you are angry that Apple is not allowing the wifi calling feature to a phone that is only a little more than a year old, let them know that you want this feature! We paid a lot of our hard-earned money for our phones and Apple better make it last for more than a two years. Sounds like the device may have had a hardware failure. If it is out of warranty, the only option is the Out of Warranty replacement.
AppleCare is only an option if it is still under the original warranty.

I reinstalled iTunes but that dit not help. After synching iTunes with my iPhone it also asks to authorize my pc and when i Click on ok, it says it is already authorized.

It's likely that your backup is corrupt. Try deleting the backup, then right click on the name of the phone in iTunes and choose "back up". To delete go to iTunes Preferences, Devices tab. Highlight and delete the most recent backup. Note that sometimes deleting this way leaves some garbage around that can still interfere with a new backup, so you should verify that the backup folder is empty.

My iPhone 4s is in constant search mode. Help !!!

Hi, my iPhone 4s is in constant search mode. The wifi is fine but the phone itself is unable to find any carrier signals. The firmware (6.1.3) is up to date and the phone has been restored through itunes both as a new iphone and restored from a saved back up. curiously as well when you remove the sim card the phone does not register the removal. The guys down at the apple genius bar tell me that the phone is mechanically in perfect order. Never been dropped, never come into contact with water and never been opened to replace any parts. Basically they are stumped for an answer. can anybody out there offer some help. Oh and i have done the hard restart using the home button and the power button but still no joy. Is this perhaps a 6.1.3 bug that were not being told about? I only ask this as it was working fine until after i did the 6.1.3 software upgrade and i have noticed a lot of posts regarding similar problems on iphone's only with the wifi after upgrading. Connection to server failed when selecting continue search on server

I have a client that has an Exchange 2007 server and is having problems searching emails on their iPads (and iPhones). When they search and then hit continue search on server, it will come back with a "Connection to Server Failed"
Client claims that it "used to work"

Hi, I've got a BMW X3 3.0d '06 (E83).
I'm looking for an all-in-one solution that could accomplish the following goals for my iPhone3G:
1 connect the iPhone as a phone (handsfree);
2 connect the iPhone as an iPod (using BMW controls);
3 recharge the iPhone.
I know, also searching through previous Apple Discussions' threads, BMW offers a cradle (using parts numbered 84-10-9-182-792, 84-21-6-946-075 and 51-16-7-060-175). Problem is I understood it wouldn't support the iPod features.
I found the ioPlay (http://www.my-io.com/products/iOPLAY.aspx), but it won't recharge the device and it won't be integrated with the car's controls.
Plus BMW (and other third parts) offers connetcion cables that would charge the iPhone, and would integrate its iPod's features with BMW's controls - but it wouldn't provide for the phone features.
Any suggestion?

Best suggestion (though not a palatable one) is to wait - it usually takes a few weeks after device launch for higher-end integrated accessories to be released.

Continue search on server

On my dads iPad, if you search in the mail app you then get an option to "continue search on server". I don't see that on my iPhone. Is there a way to turn it on? Im using gmail set up through the gmail option in mail as an imap account.

I just turned the "exchange" account back on (I had set it up before but had it as inactive) and that account does give me the continue search on server option but doesn't actually give me results even when I know they are there. :-(
I've had to resort to using the web based gmail to find messages and move them to the inbox which is a ridiculous workaround to need.
