Iphone 5 Trust this Computer message keeps popping

So when i connected my Apple cable which came with my iphone 5 box to my desktop Window 7 Ultimate, the charging icon keep disconnecting and connecting very fast and my phone keeps shaking, and every like around 2-5 minutes the trust message pops up for like 0.20 seconds and then disappears. So i tried press it when it immediatly pops up and i failed  to do it because it's way too fast,so i tested it on my other laptop and it worked just fine.
But when i close and reopened my itune, the message popped up for 1 second,i quickly pressed trust and i thought it worked but then it happened again, the charing icon keeps disconnecting.
This is frustrating me,any suggestions?
Oh and i've already updated my itunes to 11.1 already.

Hi,
I have followed those steps. Updating the driver selecting the file from the local folder in the computer as also searching on the internet but says driver is up to date and this annoying message keeps showing and showing every 2 seconds making the personal hotspot been disconnected. The only moment when this message keeps showing up is when I connect my computer to the personal hotspot.
Any further suggestions?
Apple/ Iphone support team does not know anything about this issue and they couldn’t give any solution!
Thanks,

  • "Trust this computer" message in iPhone 5 each time it's plugged, not recognized by iTunes

iPhone 5 using iOS7 is not recognized by iTunes. It keeps popping up "Trust this computer" message each time I plug it in to my laptop (Windows 8). It shows in my devices in my computer. Both my iPad with Retina display and iPod touch 5th generation are recognized. I have followed instructions for this issue but not working, help!

I just wasted 2 hours of my life with this.  Finally figured it out.
If the above suggestion doesn't work (it did not work for me as the above poster completely failed to identify where to find this "MPT" and it was not listed in my device manager anywhere) .....
    1)  Go to control panel > type Device Manager into your search box there
    2)  Go down to "Portable Devices"  (the Apple help documents are a total fail on this one too as they say to look in "Cameras" after taking a "Screen shot" with the iPhone.  Did not work.)
    3)  Inside Portable Devices you should see "Apple iPhone".  If you don't, expand every one of the Device Manager things until you find Apple iPhone listed.  Then ...
Then from the Apple support page:
For Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Right-click the Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, or Apple iPod entry in Device Manager and choose Update Driver from the shortcut menu.
Click "Browse my computer for driver software."
Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer."
Click the Have Disk button. (If the Have Disk option is not present, choose a device category such as Mobile Phone or Storage Device if listed, and click next. The Have Disk button should then appear.)
In the "Install from Disk" dialog, click the Browse button.
Use this window to navigate to the following folder:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.
Double-click the "usbaapl" file. (This file will be called "usbaapl64" if you have a 64-bit version of Windows. If you don't see "usbaapl64" here, or if there is no Drivers folder, look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. instead).
Click OK in the "Install from Disk" dialog.
Click Next and finish the driver-installation steps. Open iTunes to verify that the device is recognized properly.
Once I browsed to that exact file and installed it, it worked.  iTunes popped up and loaded the phone.
Hope this helps someone.  There's *no reason* this should be happening.  This is a brand new iPhone 5s for me on Windows 8.  The Apple help files need to be corrected.

  • Trust this computer message on a contstant loop on my iphone 4s

I just bought a macbook pro running OS X 10.9.1. When i plug in my iphone 4s, using the original apple cable, the "trust this computer" message flashes up on myiphone  screen and i'm unable to press" trust " as the message is flicking on and off. Itunes therefore does not recognoise the iphone and I cannot charge it. Seen this thread elsewhere suggesting it was a non apple USB cable. This is not the issue.  Help!

I had a similar problem once but was quick to solve it by a fix to most everything:
    Update.
I'm running a VM of Windows XP 32 bit and had all of my filters, extension packs and whatnot applied to VirtualBox but the computer kept disconnecting and reconnecting everytime i touched "Trust". The issue?
    I was running iTunes >>>8<<<
    Wowsers!
So I decided to get rid of it and install itunes 12 and it immediaely solved the issue
SO IN SHORT: make sure your mobile device driver is at its latest version.

  • Disable TRUST THIS COMPUTER message

Any way I could disable the TRUST THIS COMPUTER message when I connect to the same pc ?
    Thanks

After Apple's 10 or so suggestions, including complicated mscongif and regedit approachs, all failed... I found this, easy enough to follow solution that actually worked. in a single user's post in the forums here somewhere.  Can't find it again to say thanks to whoever it was, which prompted me to post it everywhere so everyone else can find it:
(Note: this is for Windows 8, but the solution for other versions is similar - you might need to try a few other folders, but are still looking for "Apple Device" under "Device Manager".)
Connect your iPad/iPhone/iPod to your PC
Go to: Control Panel > Device Manager
    Click on: Portable Devices
Right click on: Apple iPad/iPhone/iPod > Update Driver Software
Choose: Browse my computer for driver software.
    Go to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
Click okay and everything should suddenly work fine again.  (I can't remember if I had to choose "trust" again, but if I did, I only had to do it the once and everything was fixed after that).

    What is the Error Message...?

  • "Sync encountered an error while syncing: Unknown error. SYnc will automatiall retry this action" - this error message keeps popping up

"Sync encountered''' an error while syncing: Unknown error. Sync will automatically retry this action" - this error message keeps popping up whenever I am on my email accounts. I hit the "Sync Now" icon, but it comes back after a while.

Note: I just tried deleting and re-creating my Sync account, reinstalling firefox, and deleting places.sqlite, with no success. And "Eooro" from the title is supposed to be "Error".

  • Trust this computer message, is it going to delete my stuff?

When I plugged my ipod into my laptop, I got this message that says allow this device to access information, then says continue. When I clicked that, it then says trust this computer or don't trust it. I was wonder if it's going to delete everything I have on my device. My apps, music, and photos.

Nothing gets deleted. If you do NOT trust the computer you can't access the iPod wth the computer.

  • "Trust This Computer" Keeps Popping Up Every Time iPhone Is Connected to MBP

    Hi,
I found this question of the forum in relation to Windows computer, but not in relation to a Mac (especially, I did not find a solution).
The issue: every time I connect my iPhone (6 Plus, current iOS 8.2.) to my MBP (Mid-2012 13'', current Mac OS X 10.10.2) I am getting the "Trust This Computer" message, despite that I have trusted the computer (like twice daily, about 500 times) already. According to 'Trust This Computer' alert on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support the iPhone should only ask me once per computer.
What I have done so far:
    - updated iPhone from iOS 7 to iOS 8 (and within 7 and 8)
    - updated Mac OS X from Mavericks to Yosemite (and within 7 and 8).
    - replaced the cable twice (both Apple, from Apple Store, Australia)
    - reinstalled Yosemite (for other reasons)
    - repaired file permissions on Yosemite (got this from this forum)
    - tried different USB ports
Nada, still asking me. In addition to the annoyance, it is the also apparently not syncing with iTunes.
Do I have options left to make the issue go away?
    Thank you for your help!

This just started happening to me after I updated to 8.3.
I haven't had this problem for a very long time.  Now, every time I plug into my Mac, 10.10.3, I get this message.  I tap on 'trust' each time but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

  • My ipad asks me repeatedly if I want to "trust this computer" whenever I plug it in to my desktop PC and I can't get it to just connect and be able to sync or access files.

Whenever I plug my iPad into my desktop PC (windows 8.1), the "trust this computer?" popup keeps displaying on my iPad. I tap it but it just beeps and a few moments later it shows up again. Meanwhile, itunes keeps giving me error messages and giving me the message "Do you want to allow this computer to access information on this ipad?" I click continue but the ipad keeps giving me the trust this computer message every 3 seconds. I've never been able to sync this ipad with my computer yet because of this problem. Any suggestions?

I finally was able to solve my problem. I'm not sure why it happened but after updating my iPad to the most recent iOS, it works just fine. I had iOS 8 before, but it was the first release, not the update. I have the latest iTunes on my computer so maybe they weren't compatible. Anyway, if anyone else is having this problem, make sure everything is up to date.

  • "Trust This Computer" comes up every time

The "Turst This Computer" warning comes up every single time i plug the phone into my computer. Fine once, but is it supposed to come up every time. Each time, i hit "trust" and the message goes away. But if I unplug it, and plug it right back in, same message comes up. I looked in iTunes and on the phone and couldn't find anything that would tell it to remember that yes, I trust this computer.
iPhone 5, ios 7, Lightening cable purchased from Apple store, Dell Computer running Windows 7, with update iTunes 11.

When you plug in to a windows computer, the "trust this computer" message shows up on the PC, and needs to be clicked.  I realize that your car isn't a computer, but is there a display that could be prompting you?  If not, there may be a new issue as the device is asking for trust verification with no method of acknowledgement.  You may want to call AppleCare at 800-694-7466, and report the issue there.  They may know of a workaround, or get a workaround started.

  • Trust this computer, workaround?

    Hi.
I managed to smash my iphone and the screen is broken.
Now I want to syncronize it with my computer before bringing it to the workshop, but i can't because itunes is asking for a confirmation on the iphone to "Trust this computer".
Is there something i can do about this? I can't click on the screen because its broken enough as i said.
    Thanks, Benjamin

    flarpen wrote:
that's odd because it all comes down to if i can trust my own computer that i'm sitting on, and the fact that i can't click 'I do' on my phone because of a smashed screen.
Thinking there has to be a way, but you seem sure...
    As already stated no.
If you had sync your phone in the past, it would ask you to trust the computer.

  • IPhone with IOS "Trust this computer" keeps popping up

I have upgraded to ios 7 on my iphone, but when I now connect my phone to my car (ipod connectivity) it pops up with the "Trust this computer" box! but disappears quickly and then keeps popping up and disappearing.  I don't even have time to click TRUST!!!!
After a couple of tries the car says there was an error and stops trying.  What the **** is going on!
If no one knows, maybe you can tell me how to downgrade/restore to ios 7 as without this connectivity I can't listen to my music in the car?

I finally fixed it!  Don't know really how but here goes what I did.
You all agreed that before IOS7, by simply plug usb cable between PC and iphone that was it?!
Updated to IOS7, liked it a little, noticed slowness, but was fairly acceptable. My problem started when I was not able to sync my outlook calendar, contacts, etc. to my phone then I freaked out, because kept having this "do you trust this computer again and again when I clicked Trust.... got me crazy.
Someone told me to use iCloud. Did, but I can check my Iphone contacts on a website! not what I was looking for. Then I downloaded ICloud for windows, so I can sync (another procedure) to my outlook. Ran it, restarted, found that my wlan card was disabled, fixed it, restarted (anxious), when back, checked some changes made in outlook, more folders and buttons, but it seemed to work.
I plugged the usb cable and iphone to my pc and Viola! they synchonized!! via usb cable!!
was it the cable? the icloud installation? the rebooting? don't really know, but it works now...
I was this close to return to IOS6 by doing all those creepy steps, but it is ok now...
Please let  know if it work for you guys!!
    cheers!
