IPhone 5 Update 7.0.2 Sound Notification Issues

Hello Apple support,
my wife and I both have iPhones 5 and after the 7.0.2 update we are having issues with iMessages getting stuck and not being delivered nor sent.
Also, on normal messages/texts my wife's iPhone 5 is NOT getting any sound notifications when someone texts her.
And, the normal messages/text are sometimes not being delivered to people at all...
Please make a usefull and fixed update soon, or let me know what I can try to fix this issue.

Ok, I just found out that my wife's phone had a Do Not Disturb option ON somehow
but her messages are still not all being delivered to people she texts.

All audio or is it just some specific sounds that stops working? Have you tried to reinstall the update using SUS?

Gmail Iphone sound notification

I have been trying to figure out a way to get my Iphone to give me a sound notification automatically when I recieve an email. Pretty sure It did this when I first got it
Currently it only makes a sound when I manually press the "mail" app after it connects with my inbox, but I want to be able to only check my mail when I hear a sound. I feel some obsessive behaviors building up here !! LOL
Is this possible, with gmail? It seemd like it did this when I first got it but after a few emails I had to check the mail each time.

It is, and has been on. Very strange it won't notify me until I actually access the inbox. It makes the sound then,...but I want to be notified without having to sign in and connect.

I don't think that a software update from Apple will solve the issues that you are having. You have a rogue installation. After you posted I have just done the following:
Disk Utility can verify my partitioned Volume (including my boot disk) AND REPAIR the non-boot disks on the same Volume without a glitch. It repairs the non-boot disks containing data smoothly.
I have used Mail to send some mails from some Yahoo and Hotmail accounts to my Thunderbird client containing GMail accounts - absolutely normal.
I have iLife '09 but my iMovie '09 and iPhoto '09 open in a jiffy and I see no issues here. I have 6GB RAM (Maximum) on an early 2008 Macbook Pro with a 750GB hard drive partitioned with 120GB reserved for the Boot Drive.
I am sorry that I cannot help further but I am sure there must be a way to reinstall the software without having to revert to restoring your ML backup. I have two clones and if you have such I would attempt to do that through that rather than through Time Machine - that is of course if you have a cloned drive.

I have a nearly identical problem with my Ipad 3. Mine is the left channel. I've yet to find help, but have found a number of other posts on this and other forums discussing the issue. People have tried restore, reset etc. Also, cleaning the ports with compressed air or cotton swabs. It appears to be a software issue, but no one is sure.
Along with the original poster, I'd appreciate any help.

I am from Sweden. Using iOS 6.0.1 on iPhone 4S. I ordered this iPhone hopping that you have resolved this issue " No Service". I had this problem on my iPhone 4 and that is the reason why I ordered this one. The sim card is now totally blocked for the 5th time. Even on iPhone 4S am having the same issue. Do you have any update which resolve this problem? If not what do you want me to do? All our employees are using iPhone and if this issue is not resolved, we are planning to stop all orders from Apple. Please let me know as soon as possible. My E-mail is [email protected] Thanks!

Did you contact your carrier? It sounds as if it is a carrier problem.

Notifications for the iPhone 4 not making a sound

I recieved my iPhone 4 in August of 2010 and have had the same one ever since. a few months ago, the ringer stopped working and I figured it was due to the outdated software. However, iTunes was working just fine in that I was able to hear it through the speakers and headphones when they were connected. Along with that, I noticed the button to increase the volume ceased to work. The vibrating still works, but only whenever it wants to; and when I toggle the side button that mutes the device, it will no longer show that a change has been made: ie, the bell-looking thing won't show up, nor will the muted one, and it doesn't vibrate in between switching. The clicking of the keyboard doesn't work, nor does the lock sound, nor the sending (and obviously receiving) of messages.
A few days ago, I upgraded to the new iOS 6 software in hopes that the situation would repair itself and I have had no such luck. I've tried to reset the phone many times, but I cannot seem to find the solution. I have already preordered the iPhone 5, so I shouldn't have this issue much longer, but my sister wants my iPhone 4 and I'd like to fix it for her.. I don't have any insurance and the manufacturer's warranty is up already, and I am aware that the side button to mute will probably cause these issues, but it's not on silent/vibrate. Any other ideas? Thanks.

I have the same problem however it started right after i updated to ios 6. In searching around I found others with the same problem after the update. All of the people that had the same issue also had an iphone 4. Is this a software issue or an issue with iphone 4??? Thr Apple store did a restore on the phone and it didnt fix the problem. They felt ie was likely a software problem as well but told me the only thing they could do was sell me another iphone 4 for $150. If the update to ios 6 caused the problem why should I have to buy the phone???

Sound notifications on iPhone 4S with iOS 6 go silent occasionally

Since upgrading my 4S to iOS 6 there have been two occasions where the sound notifications (email alerts, alarms, etc) go silent (the vibrations still work). I am able to get sound out for other items (music, games, etc). The only way I have found to get the sound back for the notifications is a hard reset of the phone.
Has anyone else had this isse?

The strange thing is that my wife have iPhone 4 and I updated her phone to iOS 6 and it works. The autobrightness doesn`t go upp all the way. It works as it did in iOS 5.1.1

or sync it with itunes then you should be able to get all contacts from the source you sync contacts with
and apps you can always get back by clicking purchaes in app store on the device itself

The second issue is when I try to select "Manually Manage Music"
The iPhone "My iPhone" is synced with another iTunes libary on "MY-PC". Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library? An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library."
So... I don't want to do that, but I do what to be able to Manage my music. I'm not sure what it means by being synced to another iTunes unless it means to an older version of itunes?
Anyone have any ideas?

I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it. New software update still not downloading. Apps updates have all downloaded since iTunes issue resolved. Is the software issue also related to this, or is there another problem? This is on my iPhone 6, not my Mac.

Trying to download the iOS 8.2 software update on my iPhone 6, but it won't update. All app updates have resolved since the iTunes issue was resolved. Is the software update issue related to this as well, or is it another problem entirely?
I've synced it to iTunes, turned it off/on, etc., but still not downloading.

So is the iOS 8.2 update not downloading to your iPhone, computer or both?
You have synced it to iTunes, that is an option to update if it's not updating wirelessly. Please see if other steps help.

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

Recent iPhone update - issues connecting to server

when i connect the iPhone to the computer & tell iTunes tod download the new iPhone update, it says it cannot connect to the server? anyone else having this problem?
i'm trying to figure out if this is just an issue due to a crowded server or settings on my end that can be changed.

Looks like neither of public key and password is accepted by the server. Assuming you put the right keyfile in ~/.ssh/id_rsa and you used the right password, I think the server is rejecting your account (as opposed to your authorization tokens). Does your account exist on the server? Is allowed access in the sshd config file? Or if you're trying to log in as root, is PermitRootLogin enabled?
SSH is known for being difficult to debug client side. If you keep having trouble, could you post the server side log?
By the way, AFAIK it's not possible to do two factor authentication with SSH. If you permit authentication with passwords and keyfiles, anyone can login with either. Exclusively allowing public key logins (and guarding your private key well, protecting it with a strong password) is the strongest authentication scenario you're going to get.

i have the same problem.and i found out, if my iphone vibrates,there is a new message, but its not shown.
if i restart my iphone after these vibrations, the new messages appear.very strange.
i hope Apple will fix this problem soon.
