IPhone 5 waterproof case, otterbox preserver or lifeproof fre? Thanks.

I heard otterbox is the best but it is too bulky and not compatible with photojojo magnetic ring. Thinking to choose lifeproof but I read some review said it is not completely waterproof and not strong enough to absorb impact. So I would like ask for opinions who has used these 2 casing before. Thanks a lot !!

LifeProof Fre is the way to go! I've had mine for about a year now and haven't had any issues. I like the way it fits my iPhone 5 and the way it feels in my hand. I definitely recommend Lifeproof!

  • IPhone 5c Waterproof Cases

So far all i can find out for the iphone 5c that is waterproof is the Lifeproof Fre and Nuud. However their $80-90 price points are more than what I paid for the phone itself. I can't find any other cases that are waterproof, and preferably cheap, for the 5c. Does anyone know of or have any?

I have a HESGI case I found on Amazon that is fully submergible in 6.6 ft of water for up to 30 minutes. Fortunately I haven't needed to test it but it's only $20 so better safe than sorry!

  • Poor sound quality in IPhone 5 using a LifeProof waterproof case.

I have an IPhone 5, using a LifeProof waterproof case.  Sound quality is very poor when in case, Lifeproof says to have Apple adjust the Foreground/Background settings - how can I do this?

This is a common complaint. Get a different case.

  • "Waterproof" case bought at Apple Store killed my phone. No help from store. No help from LifeProof. Any rec.'s?

I bought a "waterproof" case at my local Appple store for $95.  I followed all of the instructions for installing it.  I used it on my family vacation in the Carribean. It worked fine the first day and a half.  The case was bulky and clunky but I got great video and photos.  Water got into the case on the second day and fried my phone.  I lost all files, including the great photos and video.  They were not backed up to iCloud because I had turned off my cellular service to avoid international roaming charges.
I tried the ol' rice bowl trick to dry it out with no luck.
Upon returning to the US, I went back to the Apple store where I purchased the case.  They refunded the cost of the case but could/would not help in any other way with the phone that the faulty case damaged.  All I got was "Sorry. :^)" you'll have to contact the case manufacturer LifeProof.  So much for "world class" customer service and standing by your 3rd party providers.
I contacted LifeProof.  They told me "Sorry. :^)"  If you had bought the case from any other store besides an Apple Store, we would have replaced your phone.  The rep. said "Since you bought there, we can't do anything for you because Apple stores don't provide the water damage warranty."
    Does anyone have any recommendations?

just a side note, anyone other than licensed carriers like at&t or verizon, cant replace your iphone, Lifeproof cant do that for you ( well not legally anyway)

  • Does the Lifeproof Fre case for iPhone 5s fit the iPhone 5?

Because the Lifeproof Fre case for the 5s has the headphone jack plug that is tethered to the case (rather than just the screw), I am wondering if the case for the 5s will fit the 5? Do all of the holes line up (even though the LED flash is different), and will the home button work the same way?

You may be more likely to get an answer by contacting that company directly: http://www.lifeproof.com/en/support/knowledge-base/full-contact/

  • Any good recommendations for a waterproof case?

I'm looking for a good waterproof case that isn't too heavy, but that it's also rugged.
I haven't been able to find one that is completely waterproof.
    Thanks

I was going to suggest the Otterbox Armor case as well. BUT I suggest you go to their website and read the specs on the case. I ordered the case and unfortunately am returning it ONLY because the only way to use the phone while in the case is either with blue tooth, head phones or on speaker. The reason being is that in order to be able to keep the phone's headphone jack protected, they have a built in adapter (inside the case) that there is no choice but to hook the iPhone up to thus making it so that the phone's headphone jack is always plugged up, not allowing you to talk on the phone the "regular" way (as in hearing the conversation through the ear piece). The headphone jack on the outside of the case allows you to connect to the phone without leaving a way for any water to get into the phone.
I hope you understand what I've described, it's a weird concept and difficult to describe (obviously) but I guess it was the only way they allowed access to the iPhone's head phone jack without compromising the case's waterproof feature.
I didn't want to have to use my blue tooth ear piece or headphones every single time I wanted to use the phone and because of the protective membrane over the speaker it muffled the sound a bit while on speaker so I just decided to return it and get my $70 back.
I hope this helps and that I haven't cornfused you too much =0/

  • What is the best waterproof case for the iphone5

I have been looking for a good waterproof case.  After reading many reviews.  It seems to me there are issues with every case.  From blurry screen, muffled sound, and leaking.  Please give some feedback.

The Lifeproof case always gets mixed reviews and many customers complain they are defective. Personally, I think the Ballistic Hydra Waterproof case is the way to go.

  • Is the noise cancellation mic on my iphone 5s waterproof?

Is the noise cancellation mic on my iphone 5s waterproof? or can  water enter my iphone through it? and how else can moisture enter my iphone, coz it's really humid over here. Are there any other openings i should be worried about?

No. There is nothing in an iPhone that's waterproof. If you wish to waterproof it, then buy a case that makes it close to or completely waterproof.
Try not to exceed these conditions:
    Operating ambient temperature: 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C)
    Nonoperating temperature: -4° to 113° F (-20° to 45° C)
Relative humidity: 5% to 95% noncondensing
Operating altitude: tested up to 10,000 feet (3000 m)

  • Iphone 4/4s cases/covers

this is probably a stupid question, given the fact that from all report ive ready the body styles are the same, but will iphone 4 covers/cases work with the 4s?  (again im sorry, but this is my first iphone).

With the possible exception of the Otterbox Defender series (Universal). On their website, Otterbox states that the case is not compatible with either the white IPhone 4 or the IPhone 4s http://bit.ly/p0AhZr  Definitely do your research before buying a case.

  • Any waterproof cases for ipod 5g for everyday use?

Any good waterproof cases for ipod touch 5g everyday use?

Hey Avenger1104, I like the Griffin Survivor + Catalyst water tight to 9 feet, and offers shock, dust, weather and scratch protection. Also that a look at the Lifeproof cases. Note; no matter which case you buy it's only as good as it's seals, and there is no warning when or if the seal has failed. Good luck. Cheers.

  • My phone was not sealed in my waterproof case correctly. It was in my hand underwater for at the most a minute.  The case is off and its in a bag of white rice sealed. HELP!

HELP MY PHONE HAS WATER DAMAGE! IT WAS UNDERWATER FOR ABOUT 1 MINUTE AT THE MOST. IT WASN'T SEALED PROPERLY IN MY WATERPROOF CASE. HELP PLEASE!

If it was underwater for about a minute, then you can probably figure it is finished. If you have it in rice, you can leave it there for about a week and see if that will help, but I doubt it. I would just take it to Apple and get an out of warranty replacement. The cost for an iPhone 4 is $149, US. Check to see what it is where you might be.

  • Charging iphone 4s with case on

I realise the normal iPhone dock will not work. What else does?

I can confirm that the iPhone 4S with the Otterbox case will work. You may need a Usb extension cable. I have a IPad 3 with a Otterbox Defender case which will work with a Usb extension cable connected to Usb power adapter and it will charge. Note because of the size of the iPad you have to lean it aganist something when connected to the Belkin mini doc or the dock will tip over. The way I have it setup it works just fine for charging and I don't have to remove the OtterBox casees from the iPhone or iPad 3.

  • IPhone 5s leather case: gone wrong because of low quality, can I get it replaced or a refund?

I bought Apple iPhone 5s leather case, and after three weeks I noticed that is broken (it cannot be seen visually), and I suppose that this case is not the right quality as Apple ussualy provide. Do I have any chance to get a refund or simply to get it replaced to new one?
I really like this case, and I would like to have it not broken.
    Answer please,
    Thank you,

    Apple changes the case.
IN my situation it was that the case was broken near the earphones plug.
BUt if you are considering whether buy or not the leather case, i can tell you that case will change its color. I dont know anout black, i have brown, it becomes more brown as i use it. I suppose the case has top layes and when you use it the top layer goes off and you have final layer.
ON my brown case the used color is darker brown.
I Like this case, it looks luxurious, as it is.

  • Can an iphone with a case fit in the michael kors wallet clutch?

can an iphone with a case fit in the michael kors wallet clutch? I was thinking of getting it but I do not want to take my pittsburgh penguins case off just so it can fit inside of it.

Yes I saw that article from before. The problem I am having is one that is unique to the PowerMac G5 and does not effect the Mac Pro. The problem I am having is that the PowerMac G5 uses a plastic shield that won't close when you install an Accelero. In order to get this card to work some people have even cut a hole into the shield as you can see with the first picture from this article:
    http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/Graphics/AcceleroS1R2on_ATIX800.html
Needless to say I feel very uncomfortable doing this. This is why when I came across an article that showed people bending their Acceleros it gave me hope that I could install one with out having to damage my computer and risk having air flow problems. That is why I am wanting to know if bending the Accelero would work like in this forum:
